What it wrong with me?
I am deeply disturbed that I like the following songs:
Ashlee Simpson: "Boyfriend" (Just damn catchy) Faith Hill: "Like We Never Loved At All" (or whatever it's called - it's the sweet retro video that sucked me in.) Kanye West: "Gold Digger" (I have no explanation for this. None.) I do NOT usually like fluffy little Top 40 pop tunes. As penance, I am going to play nothing but Mac for the next 24 hours. Forgive me Stevie, for I have sinned. :o |
OMG! I am obsessed with Kayne West-Gold Digger! Soo good. lol
Glad to see you are back and ok. :) |
I get that way too, sometimes. I don't know those particular songs, but don't feel bad- it happens to all of us. :wavey:
|
Aw, don't worry about it, although I do see your cause for conern. If it makes you feel any better, I have "Milkshake" on my ipod. And I NEVER skip it. :distress:
|
Don't feel bad Paula - I can't get enough of Gold Digger either. And I really don't like Kanye for many reasons. Just something about the groove, and even the lyrics.
Only heard the radio version though - is there a certain word missing from the chorus? (During the "broke, broke" part?) It just seems that way to me. Haven't heard the other 2 though, so you're on your own there. ;) |
Paula, it's ok, really!! Everything will be just fine.
Now I am dying to hear the Kanye West song. I am not sure if I heard it before or not! |

Paula,
My sympathies. I am currently addicted to Madonna's new song, and still have this thing for Kelly Clarkson's music that I just can't explain. :o |

OK I guess that I'll admit that I got hooked on that Golddigger song, too. The first time that I heard it I was like OK this is a stupid song and later in the day guess what song was stuck in my head?:o
I believe that it is a either a sample of Ray Charles OR Jamie Foxx doing a RC tribute. I don't know. Does anyone have the lyrics that they can post? |

"Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger But she ain't messin' wit' no broke _____" "Trigger" doesn't really make much sense. Nor does "snigger." "Chigger?" Could work, but nothing else in the lyrics implies that she's into entymology... |
I like the Faith song "Like we never loved at all"! :wavey:

Yeah, I know, I just didn't really want to get into labelling all of my scary new favorite songs. I don't usually like...hiphop? Rap? R&B? Whatever you want to call it, I love this tune. Happened to me last year with Outkast's "I Like the Way You Move" too. Oh. And I also don't hate Mariah's "Shake It Off" either. Forgive me, Deanna. |

That, my friend, is what got me. Hot & sexy retro Faith & Tim. |
That's what I guessed, since I hadn't heard the unedited version. I'm still disappointed with Missy Elliott for leaving those stupid elephant screams in "Work It". Especially after I went to several different stores looking for the "dirty" version of her album. |
Oh, great, you brought up Missy Elliot. Well, now I remembered that I like "Lose Control."
|
The song I'm loving right now is the new dance remix to Faith Evans "Mesmerized"...it's AWESOME! :]

The first time I heard Lose Control (in May), I was on the freeway driving back from New Orleans. My best friend and I had seen the Erasure concert the night before, then partied on Bourbon till sunrise. I was dead tired, and when it came on the radio I was so excited I almost drove off the road. Those running scale computer noises in the background (for lack of a better description) still give me goosebumps. |
