BE WARNED: UNEDITED LYRICS FOLLOW

"George Bush doesn't care about Black people."
I ain't saying he's a gold digger, but he ain't messin' with no broke niggas
I ain't saying he a gold digger, but he ain't messin' with no broke niggas
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.

Hurricane came through, ****ed us up round here
Government acting like it's bad luck down here
All I know is that you better bring some trucks round here
Wonder why I got my middle finger up round here?

People lives on the line, you decline any help
Since you taking so much time we surviving ourselves
Just me and my pets and my kids and my spouse
Trapped in my own house looking for a way out.

Five days in this mother****ing attic
I can't use the cellphone I keep getting static
Dying cause they lying instead of telling us the truth
Other day the helicopters got my neighbors off the roof.

Screwed cause they say they're coming back for us, too
that was three days ago and I don't see no rescue
See, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do
Since God made the path and I'm trying to walk through.

Swam to the store, trying to look for food
Corner store's kinda flooded so I broke my way through
I got what I could but before I got through
The news say the police shot a black man trying to loot.

George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like....

I ain't saying he a gold digger, but he ain't ****in' with no broke niggas
I ain't saying he a gold digger, but he ain't taking from no broke niggas

George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.

Five damn days, five long days
And at the end of the fifth he walkin' in like "...Hey!"
Chillin' on his vacation, sittin patiently
Them black folks gotta hope, gotta wait and see

If FEMA really comes through in an emergency
But nobody seems to have a sense of urgency.
Now the mayor's been reduced to crying
I guess Bush said "Niggas been used to dying."

He said, "I know it looks bad. Just have to wait."
Forgetting folks were too broke to evacuate
Niggas starving and they're dying of thirst.
I bet he had to go and check on them refineries first.

Making a killing off the price of gas.
He would have been up to Connecticut twice as fast
After all that we been through, nothing's changed
You can call Red Cross, but the fact remains that

George Bush ain't a gold digger,
but he ain't ****in' with no broke niggas

George Bush ain't a gold digger,
but he ain't ****in' with no broke niggas

Come down Bush. Come on, come down
Come down Bush. Come on, come down
Come down Bush. Come on, come down
Come down Bush. Come on, come down

George Bush ain't a gold digger,
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.
George Bush don't like black people.

Come down George. Come on, come down
Come down George. Come on, come down
Come down George. Come on, come down
Come down George. Come on, come down

OMG - those lyrics are way lame

But, the sentiment is quite true in that many people black and white feel this way. Regardless of its being true, that they feel that way is something W should address as perception is 99% the truth to most.

Also, it took 12 hours to get food and help to Afgan last week - it took four days to get it in any significant amount to both NOLA and the MS Gulf Coast. Think about it.

And they had the cameras ready to record all of it.

Seeing the self-congratulatory backslapping over our aid to the earthquake victims really perturbed me.

It would be very difficult for a black person who was in NOLA and went through this to believe that Bush likes black people. I saw a man on CNN who was convinced that the levee in his poor neighborhood was blown up on purpose to save the wealthy neighborhood. I doubt this is true but I can understand why he might think that given how neglected he and his community were. It's indefensible.

Bush's approval rating amongst blacks across the country is now at two percent.

The reason most think that is because in 1927 or so, it was alleged that the levee was blown to flood the 9th ward as opposed to the richer section on the other side. I have no clue as to whether this is true, but many think it is.

Oh yeah! And since the margin of error is 3% it could be argued that he has a negative approval rating amongst black people (-1%). ;) Someone wrote this into Stephanie Miller this morning.

2%. WOW. It actually sunk in, that is insane. I'm so sad about all of this. How many ways can Bush rape and pillage this country? Hopefully no more.

Ohhh, thanks for enlightening me on that, I was not aware. So I'm sure he isn't the only one.

That's George for ya. A uniter, not a divider.

And Miller has been cracking me up lately!!!

I haven't listened to the whole recording yet, but when the song first came out I heard bits of it on NPR (I think) and I was just glad to hear it spelled out so plainly. "Bush doesn't care about poor or black people" was the first thing I thought when the news started reporting the disaster. I had just seen the "Hotel Rwanda" (see this movie!) and the lack of relief for New Orleans immediately reminded me of the scene with where Nick Nolte's character tells Don Cheadle's character why nobody will be coming to help them.

I don't think I really need to tell you this...well, I guess I do: "not caring" about, and "not liking", are not the same as "hating" though the results may be the same. There is a phrase often used to refer to buildings called "demolition by neglect" and it works pretty well to describe what happens to communities who are ignored as well.

When I think about Bush's attitude toward the poor, or towards poor black communites, I don't actually think of him as a Republican (I don't care whether you believe me on this or not) I just think of him as a spoiled rich kid, with no empathy, a whole lot of ignorance and a whole lot of arrogance. I would love for him to prove me wrong.
Obviously some Republicans care about black people, some Republicans are black people, and some Democrats don't care about black people.

Seriously, I don't even like that show he's on, but I find myself flipping to it on Sunday nights just to catch a glimpse of the Royal Hotness.

When I saw Can't Buy Me Love and Loverboy way back when, I would have never guessed he'd turn out to be so luscious.

I know! He was pretty geeky back then, although I was still strangely attracted to him even then

But now.... hot damn! I can almost feel the sex ooze out of my TV!

I love his nickname on the show... Dr. McDreamy!
