Dude! You beat me to posting it!

It's so freakin' catchy, isn't it? I don't know how many times I've listened to it now. :o

Johnny Stew 10-13-2005 10:14 PM

Oh, and I can't get over how much she looks like Rose McGowan on the single cover.

Dreammms 10-13-2005 10:19 PM

I love it. She is lookin' hot too!

Brwn_eyes0511 10-13-2005 10:19 PM

I just thought the same thing...

I was like "is Rose a red head again?" lol

Nothing Special. ...just another club song.

strandinthewind 10-13-2005 11:26 PM

It sounds a lot like Blondie in the early 80's.

It sounds like something straight off of "The Hunter." Not surprising, though, considering she built her career on ripping them off.

 That's exactly what I was going to say!

I don't really like the single. And that makes me very sad. I really wanted to. But with an album of mostly uptempo stuff, I'm sure there's something I will like.

Did you guys hear about the Kaballah (or Kabbalah or Kielbasa, whatever...) rabbis saying Madonna was going to Hell for the album track named "Isaac"? Seems using that particular prophet's name for profit is a big no-no. That's sure a funny thing for her to go to Hell for.

It sounds more like something off of an Abba record...oh wait...IT IS!

Now, I don't mind sampling...but only if it is going to be used creatively. And this is clearly not creative. It is just another attempt at adding some spark to Madonna's almost "dead" career.

Out of all the things she could possibly be sent to hell for...MADONNA NOW! Using "Isaac" in a song is one of them!

GypsySorcerer 10-14-2005 03:36 PM

Aw, I haven't heard it. :( She actually reminds me a little of Kate Winslet on that cover.

golddustwoman77 10-14-2005 03:50 PM

Man, I want to hear it, but they have taken the file off of Rapid Share. Could someone email it to me? I would be forever grateful!:xoxo:

I "like" it, but it's kinda boring. I mean, why not just re-release the ABBA song...which is basically all it is. And while you're at it, re-release Voulez Vous as well!!!

Umm you call a instantly sold out 2004 world tour a almost dead career?

When will people except the fact thats shes never going away. Its so stupid, people have been bitching "Over & Over" since 1985 that her career will be over soon. Well shiit its been 20 years now and she still here, bigger than ever.

Get over it!!

tommer 10-15-2005 08:38 AM

despite some integrity issues (such a heavy sample in an opening single? madonna? c'mon, using ABBA is WAAAAY too easy...) i definetly dig this song, i donnow bout america, but she can easily count on regaining europe in no time. i'm so appalled by the new depeche mode, that i really need this album to be good.

catinthedark 10-15-2005 10:55 AM

I have very mixed feelings about it - I love it, don't get me wrong. But it is way too easy to use one of the best hooks of all time and just add a dance track. I sort of expect more of Madonna. So I'm a little disappointed that this is the first thing we get from her in a long time...

ryan8472 10-15-2005 11:07 AM

How do you d/l this?

catinthedark 10-15-2005 11:12 AM

I'll add to my above post.... I have to say I love how the sample of Gimme Gimme Gimme comes in at the beginning. The way it's teased for a while and then builds to the full hook. That is very cool. But I realize that I love this song only because I love that Abba hook.

At least we're hearing something from her, unlike some other folks who dropped an album in 2003, a mere week before Madge's "American Life"...
