Stevie Photo Sites
 

I went to a film processing place here in Providence last week and to my surprise there were photos on the walls of Joey Ramone, Frank Zappa, and on the other side was a black and white photo of Stevie.
It was an 8 x 10 matted photo from a concert in the San Francisco area in 1976. The photographer that took all of these photos on the walls ( Led Zep, Neil Young, Devo, Crosby, Stills and Nash) was now working at this place here in Providence. Anyway I got to meet him and he told me that he used to work for Rolling Stone and he had 100s of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac photos! I want to try to get him to come in and speak to our photography club here in RI at some point.
I have his email but I have not written to him yet. Well, he told me that the photo on the wall of Stevie was published in Rolling Stone. I don't remember seeing the photo but I can't find my old Rolling Stone issues with the Mac. I am wondering if anyone knows where I could find this photo online. It is a black and white photo of Stevie with her top hat on and her arms are kind of outstretched and her knees are kind of bent. It is at an outdoor show.
If someone knows of a Stevie site that has tons of photos please let me know. I have looked at some and I could not find it but if it was in Rolling Stone at some point I am sure that it must be online someplace.

No, she is wearing black and is kind of bending down facing the other way. But thank you! Actually, the photos in your sig kind of look like they could be from the same show or same time frame.

Does she have a tambo in her hand and holding it up?

I don't think that she has a tambo. It looks as if she is taking a bow and she is kind of making an "S" with the way that she is posed. At least it kind of looked that way from what I saw.

there was a Random Note with a photo like the one you're describing. She's doing her Rhiannon witch dance & there was like a cord around her waist, right? She has her top hat on, & she is bending & her chin is turned to the side.

I can't remember what the Random Note was about, but I think it was about Stevie doing Russian ballet & it ran in the spring of 1978 -- something about she's preparing for Fleetwood's summer tour.

Maybe that was it. The photo was taken in 1976, however.

this was a '76 photo, definitely. But they ran it in a '78 issue.

Yes, it was that same general moment, it looked like! Do you remember another one where her chin is going to the side & bending over, & you can see her neck?

No that is not it but I think that she has that same outfit on.

This is the closest pic that I could find. The pose is kind of the same only she has on the top hat and you can see her neck chain fall of to the side.

These are close, but I think I know just which one it is -- it's a closeup & you can see her neck very clearly, front & side, because of the way her head is facing. Think of a very elegant ballet pose, like the Dying Swan ... very Pavlova.

go through all the Random Notes from 1978!! I know it's in there!

Yeah, her pose did look like a swan. :) Do you know if the Random Notes are online? :lol:

I have Allways been enamored with the necklace that she wears in this shot. Does any one have a better picture of it? I 've allways believed that it was a moonstone, so I had one cut to a simmilar look , and I love it, but what kind of stone is it? are those beeds? Anyone? :wavey: :shrug:

I went into Photoshop and made a banner for my sig out of it. As you can see I don't know a whole lot about Photoshop. :laugh:

I found the picture that I was looking for thanks to Melacine's post and thanked her already. An 8x10 matted print of that actual photo can be purchased for $200.00
