I say bring it on! I just hope they bring the humor back with it. It seems as if it got a little serious there towards the end. The humor in the beginning was hilarious, and it needs to be brought back.
I can't wait! |
I am!! :wavey:
DH is one of the very, very few new shows I've gotten into in years. And I didn't get into it until it was re-aired during repeat season. But I've now seen the entire first season, and I, too, am intrigued by what Alfre Woodard and her son are up to... I was actually really happy to see the introduction of a new "mystery" - the whole Mary Alice thing was just starting to get a little tiring. An aside: I think Marcia Cross is going to be the next big thing. Lots of attention was paid this past season to Teri Hatcher. But I think Marcia Cross WOWED Hollywood at the Emmys. Lots of people sat up and went, who the heck is THAT??? Look for her on many more magazine covers (like Vogue) and in some major advertising campaigns in the coming years (I'm guessing something like L'Oreal). She is absolutely beautiful. |
Can't wait :blob2: I'm really looking forward to Lynnett going back to work!
|
Have fun y'all...
wished I could be more into the popularity thing on TV, but alas I'm not...
Enjoy yer show. |
LOVED IT!!
As usual, Brea was my favorite character this evening. Marcia Cross is brilliant! :xoxo: |
I hate I missed it...I was reading The Heart of the Matter for class tomorrow night...:(

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I am so excited about it. About 10 min to go till showtime! I am very into this show. Great writing. Funny as hell dialogue! Can't wait to see Alfre's charachter as well. She's fab. Her and CCH Pounder. Love them!
I am toe-up into this show, Lost & Nip/Tuck. Hubby sits thru Lost alright, but he and I enjoy 24 together. Tonight he'll patiently watch DH w/ me, cause his poker tournaments are taping on the bedroom TV. LOL I think even he'll realize after watching one whole episode that it's a good show. Enjoy! |

And the last scene - WTF?!?!?!?!?! And Alfre was very "touchy" with her son - she was practically kneading his pecs. I mean, *I* would have too, but she's his Mom. Well, unless she isn't I guess. |
LOVED THE EPISODE!!!
It was LOL funny! Especiallly the Bree stuff. Like when she snatched the 15 pages of anecdotes from Rex's Mother! That was so funny! And of course when she had to change his tie in front of everyone! Did anyone see what Eddie was wearing at the funeral? That alone made me laugh so hard I cried! The Lynette stuff was really funny too. I love Felicity Huffman! I was on the edge of my seat when the baby was on the desk and Lynette couldn't concentrate on the interview. Very funny. I don't know if this new mystery will be any good. It seems a little too Silence of the Lambs for me. It could be interesting, but right now it seems a tad silly. I also watched Martha- Behind Bars which was a great made for TV movie. Thank God for Tivo so I could actually watch both of the shows tonight. I feel so bad for Martha Stewart after seeing her in jail like that. I'm sure they hammed it up for the TV movie, but it was still sad seeing Martha in jail having to eat mush. Anyone else watch this movie? |

And while we are on the subject, the new neighbor's son's voice is so annoying. Could it be any deeper and monotone? Is he doing that on purpose, or what? |
It was a really good episode. Can't wait to see how it takes off.
BTW Christopher. LOVE your Jennifer Coolidge Rocks Banner. My bestest pal worked w/ her on a Mighty Wind as well as some other short film I can't recall/name right now. Had lots of funny lil stories about her, and said she is a DOLL! I think she'd be a blast to meet! |
the episode was fabamundo!!!~ i can't wait to see who is chained in the basemant, was sad to see susan & mike not move in together becuz of zach, bree was so awesome at rex's funeral, i knew she was gonna change that tie, & i loved how she told him, "you look magnificent"~ this looks to be another exciting season!!!~

Oh yeah, and Edie to Susan, "Did he pistol whip you?" |
Good episode. I'm dying to know who's in the basement. Alfre's hubby, perhaps? A mentally ill relative?
I too got a weird vibe from her "son" and her. I think his voice is sexy as hell (so is he, for that matter.) I'm thinking maybe he'll start hanging out with Bree's daughter... Sad about Mike & Susan. Oh well. Zach's weird, I don't care who's son he is. Carlos & Gabrielle annoy me. Waiting until exactly 9am to call everyone? So Bree. And the tie scene - priceless. Lynette is awesome "watch me multitask!" And when did Joely Fischer get that rack? Have they always been that big? Sheebus. |

Could it be Paul Young in the basement?
As for the son's voice, he sounded a little...stilted? to me. Not very natural. |
