Sisters of the Moon Live

I just got a copy of FM 10/20/82 in Oakland which has the most incredible version of Sisters of the Moon I ever heard.Does anyone else have this?
It is perfect soundboard quality.
I don't usually collect the FM stuff, but I traded my good buddy Sharon some of my Stevie stuff and got this one.
I must have listened to it 10 times already.
Thanks Sharona!

You have a soundboard "Sisters" from 10-20-82?

kato 09-25-2005 05:11 AM

Yes,Oakland Coliseum 10/20/82,the entire show,at least that is what the cover says and they make several refrences to Oakland during the show so I guess it is correct.

strandinthewind 09-25-2005 07:56 AM

I, and I am sure everyone, would greatly appreciate it if you post it here, maybe using www.yousendit.com - if not, that is okay too. But, I would love to hear it :wavey:

It's not bad at all...I still think the Mirage DVD version is better. Lindsey's guitar work is tight too.

I have an audience recording of the entire show, & I have soundboard from about the first half of the show. But I didn't know there was soundboard of the last half of the show (which includes "Sisters").

If you tell me how to post it, I'd be happy to ( I'm kind of technologically challenged).

I go to www.yousendit.com and then enter my own email address and then upload the song. Then, when it is done sending it, it gives you a link. Then copy the link and post it in this thread. Everyone can then download it from that link. And - its FREE!!!!!!

That's great, or St.Loius 1979 is fantastic also!!

kato 09-25-2005 04:15 PM

I just spoke to Sharon this morning and she did get it from dimeadozen.org as well as several other good shows.
Check it out!

Aha. As I thought. Not soundboard "Sisters" -- it's the Jeff Samuels recording. He was in the audience.

He used some sort of DAT or digital device -- I don't know for sure what was being manufactured back then. Jeff recorded a Dance show, too.

This recording was really the first really good audience recording of a Fleetwood Mac concert (unless you count the uncannily, inexplicably good Dallas Cotton Bowl show from '78).

By the way, the entire Oakland concert is available, not just "Sisters." It may be something you'd be interested in ...?

JazmenFlowers 09-25-2005 09:37 PM

thanks so much. this version of SOTM is my all-time favorite.

golddustorm 09-25-2005 10:20 PM

Has anyone else had trouble with this file? I'm not sure what program to use to open a .flac file...iTunes won't play it. Thanks for the help!

YES! And I must hear it !!!!! Especially now that everyone is giving it a good review HELP!

ragandbone 09-26-2005 12:06 AM

You need to decode/convert it, to an aiff or wav. If you have a Mac, try xACT.

kato 09-26-2005 05:35 AM

I told you it was damn good.
