my new tattoo!!!~
 

i finally decided to get my stevie tattoo today, i am so excited!!!~ the moon one i had from before, the new one is the winged heart~i thought the guy did so well, & he was telling me & showing me pics of him tattooing joni mitchel & willie nelson :thumbsup: ~ i am giddy as a schoolgirl right now!!! :lol: ~ it is on my lower back~

Cool tattoo! I would like to get the TISL dragon tattooed on me but I'm a chicken. I keep thinking about it though.

I agree with everyhour...Stevie would be very upset if she ever saw it. She flipped out when she saw the tattoo of her signature a girl had on her arm (after autographing her arm the night before). Stevie said "Why would you EVER do that?? I am here to bring you out of pain, not to cause you pain!"

Or something along those lines......

that is so friggin' awesome. I have been wanting a new one for a couple of years...I think once I get in better shape I will get one though I've gone from the TISL dragon to a moon to the winged heart to another triangle so who knows what I'll end up with.

Ha, I was at the Hershey show last year, and saw a woman with Stevie's face tattoo on her entire right shoulder blade. I thought a little extreme - I'd find it embarrassing to meet Stevie (as if that would happen!) and have to say "BTW, you're face is on my back". None the less, it was beautifully done! :shrug:

At any rate, I really like the wild heart tattoo (and the moon, as well!). They did a really nice job. :D

I have to admit, I've thought about getting the white dove, or the tambourine with the roses from bella donna, but I doubt I'll ever go through with it. :D

It's very nice!!! :nod: I'll have to get mine on soon too. Mine's the penguin tipping its hat with the can under its wing with Fleetwood Mac written underneath in the Rumours style. I've actually gotten quite a few compliments on it. But anyway, once again, very nice job.

I've heard that story too. I wold hope that she wouldnt still feel that way, but you never know.

I would imagine it is still the same. Why wouldn't it? People who don't like tattoos don't suddenly grow to love them. Many people view tattoos as a sign of insecurity, a "hey, look at me" action.

She has gone on record as being against tattoos. I'm not sure why her fans would get a tattoo with her logo or her name to "honor" her when she feels so strongly against them. Doesn't make sense to me.

Hmmm... can't say I agree with that. Mine are both on my back and I only show them if I choose...and I certainly didn't have them due to any insecurities.... they are not Stevie related btw

I think if it's in good taste and not all over your body, that might be a different story. But that's just my opinion I guess.

well said... I have 4 tattoos so far, and all in places that are covered and shown only if i choose to show.
I do plan on a "stevie" design tat... but again it will be in a place that only if i show it, will it be seen.
all of my tattoos represent something in my life....body art is a beautiful way to express yourself if you choose to, none of mine are "big" all are small..
I say to each their own... I love Jills tat!!

I find her take on "pain" to be interesting. People who partiake in various activities that involve pain "piercing, tattoos, spiritual rituals, adult oriented activities" are often viewed by others as being self-distructive. The truth is that it's a totally different experience than simply being hurt or trying to do harm to yourself. Of course, Stevie has been involved in her own self-distructive phases (ie drugs, alcohol, etc.) so she may see something like that reflected in her own actions, which can't be an easy thing. She has always been a bit of a role model and the thought of people taking example of the negative sides of her rather than the positive must feel like a burdon at times. I think today she is an all around good role model because she is an example of someone who has overcome the things that cause pain and is still around to tell the tale. And now she is in a position to tell people to not even start because she has been there.

Beautiful tattoo, btw. I just got my first one a few weeks ago and I love it. It's not Stevie related so I won't post a pic of it, but I know that I'm going to have more now. Heh heh.

Pip, I agree with you. Mine only come out when I want them to as well. Not Stevie related either, would NEVER get a name tat'd on my body. I have a dream catcher on my breast, and a Lion on my left shoulder blade which covers the entire portion of it. Very personal to my heritage.
