Cool retro cover. Ridiculous title, but I like the art.

Pretty damn cool. I am excited.

WelshWitchPMD 09-18-2005 08:33 AM

The artwork is very cool. The photo and title well, no. Is this going to be dance music?

Pretty cool. I'm a Madonna fan - have been since Day 1. Had my moments of waning love - but always curious to hear what she's come up with. I maintain that Music is one of the most perfect and brilliant tracks ever produced.

gldstwmn 09-18-2005 11:18 AM

I like it. :)

GypsySorcerer 09-18-2005 12:02 PM

 Very cool. Lame title, though.

What's this then? It's posted on her Myspace page. Single cover maybe?

I like the album cover OK. Not so hot about the title, especially when "Dance Floor Confessions" would be much less clunky.

And I don't like "Hung Up", but just because I'm sick of that techno flavor - from everyone, not just Madonna. And I'm going crazy trying to remember what song she sampled - anyone know?

Dreammms 09-18-2005 02:20 PM

I LOVE it!!! I am so excited for this CD. Last night I watched her Anaheim, CA 2004 DVD boot and it was amazing. She is sooo good. She has tons of energy and keeps herself in fabulous shape.

That boot is fantastic! Whoever did the menus did a great job.

I.want.that.boot.

Her Reinvention tour was the best! Seeing her playing guitar for Material Girl and Burning Up.... I was in awe. ...And of course, Hanky Panky!

Johnny Stew 09-18-2005 04:30 PM

Ooh, awesome! Thanks for posting that!
I had seen a couple small pics of potential album cover designs, and this was actually one of them. I'm glad she went with this one.

(And I agree, it's not the best album title she could have used.)

That artwork is from Warner Bros. Japan's website. No one's sure yet if it's promo art, inner-sleeve art, or the cover from the single.

I agree totally. Your title would have been much better.

I'm actually crazy for "Hung Up." I'm over the techno stuff, too, and was worried that it would be too immersed in that style. But I think she pulled off a nice marriage of classic 70s/80s Dance-Club music and the better elements of techno and contemporary House music.

I hope that the rest of the album at least lives up to "Hung Up," and, hopefully, exceeds it.

It's from ABBA's "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnight)" :D

ontheEdgeof17 09-18-2005 04:40 PM

Is that Marcia Cross on the cover? I didn't know Madonna was such a big fan. ;)

Lucky!

I've only seen little clips from the reInvention Tour, and I've been dying for the DVD release that was supposed to come out... but it keeps getting delayed.
At this point, it'll probably never get released. :distress:

Where did you find the bootleg?

With a husband, two children and a hectic career, I guess Mo's a "desperate housewife," too!

JazmenFlowers 09-18-2005 04:52 PM

I actually like the title and the artwork, but I hate the red hair and pink outfit...something about it is not working for me (for one thing, imo, it's hard to pull off pink with red hair)...but I'm so excited about the album.

IT's one of the best bootleg dvds I have ever seen. Quality wise. She puts on an amazing show. If you want a copy of the DVD PM me with your address and I will send it to you.

You too Curtis :xoxo:

Has Hung Up been released yet? I haven't heard it yet. I've heard a little ten second clip though....

Brwn_eyes0511 09-19-2005 01:26 AM

Blah!

IMO the best Madonna cover will always be "Ray Of Light"!!!

Wild_Heart03 09-20-2005 02:32 AM

I think the cover looks great, the text has a kind of a retro look to it. I can't wait for this album to be out, I'm sure it's gonna be great as usual!

The full-length version hasn't been released (or leaked) yet, just a few 10-second clips and the 30-second Motorola ringtone.

The single will be released on October 17th in the US.

Johnny Stew 09-20-2005 03:29 PM

Oh, and here's the just-announced official track-listing....

1. Hung Up
2. Get Together
3. Sorry
4. Future Lovers
5. I Love New York
6. Let It Will Be
7. Forbidden Love
8. Jump
9. How High
10. Isaac
11. Push
12. Like It Or Not

Odd that there's a song called "Forbidden Love," since Madonna already had a song on 'Bedtime Stories' with that title (it also appeared on 'Something To Remember'). I wonder if this is a dance remake of the track (like Cher did with "We All Sleep Alone"), or if this is an entirely new song that happens to have the same title as an older one.

"Isaac" is rumoured to be about the life of a young gay man.

I got the record. I am not much of a fan, but it is okay.

Alas, it is copy protected within an inch of it's life. Won't even play in my computer. I wouldn't be surprised if it self destructed if I tried to play it a 2nd time.

I had a feeling that the promo disc would be copy-protected... they would have been extremely foolish not to. (Apparently there's a way to bipass the copy-protection on CDs, by holding down the shift key when you load the disc into your PC, but I don't think that trick works in all cases. And I know it definitely only works if you haven't already tried to load the disc previously.)

I'm a little bummed to learn that the tracks are mixed into each other, similar to 'You Can Dance,' but I'm sure I'll still enjoy the album.

Thanks for the info, Sparky!

just use any ole cd player and run it through your computer in real time.. record it as a wav file and then cut up the tracks and burn them

.. it's a little time consuming, but i do it all the time when i record Stevie/Mac concerts... someone has to do it ;)

I am afraid I lack the cables and know how. I am too dim to record wav files onto a cd. Never been able to figure it out. I'll give it a shot. But I can't say I like Madge enough to work very hard at it. This weird advance copy landed in my paws quite by accident.

The cd cover picture....
..looks like she fell over and is struggling to get up! :sorry:

Maybe she rode her horse into the dance club? ;)
