Young Stevie Alicia Silverstien (sp?), Sally Struthers late 80s bloated Stevie, current Stevie? thats a tough one, maybe go with an unknown actress.

I cant think of Struthers without thinking of her blubering face talking about the starving Swahili children. So she's a no. ;)

Remember that episode of South Park? The reason they have no food over there in Ethipoia is because she ate it all.

Ok ,off the top of my head I really don't know, I geust any new good actress can play Stevie in the 60's,70's and the 80's. Stevie can play herself from the 1990's to now, Mick can play himself through the whole movie, a toupee and beard dye will take care of him for his early Fleetwood Mac days. Lindsey,John and Christine. I have to think about that now.

I'm not so certain that La Nicks even posseses enough acting talent to play herself.Maybe Stockard Channing ?Not really a Stevie type but she is good.

SmileAtU 09-17-2005 10:25 PM

For the early Stevie, Sienna Miller for sure

Gillian Anderson in a wig? They ARE both SHORT!

Reese Witherspoon?

Bernadette Peters?

Courtney Love, or Sandra Bernhardt, since they're such big fans???

Elizabeth Shue?

Anyway, GOOD QUESTION!

Ghost_Tracker 09-17-2005 10:46 PM

Can't dance.

Can't sing.

Can act - a LOT OMG!

Oh wait she CAN sing! HMMMmmmm!

Ghost_Tracker 09-17-2005 10:51 PM

Lb

I THINK maybe Lindsey could be played by George Clooney.

Clooney's good at pretending to be - uhmmm . . . .

Blessed with an abundance of self-confidence??? LOL!

Looks SORTA similar!

And I think he would "get" the character.

Macfanforever 09-17-2005 11:14 PM

Sissy Spacek can play Stevie, She did the Loretta Lynn movie The Coal Miners Daugther and won awards for singing, and acting. Sissy could play the part.

I think she's one brilliant actress, but not to play Nicks. Nicks needs to be played by some wispy, slightly plain, little thing. Someone like Kate Bosworth. Of course, if we're talking latter day Nicks, I say we plump up Linda Hunt, dye her hair blonde, and stuff her in a corset.

I definitely think it would have to be an unknown actress. I can't think of anybody that's famous now who could play Stevie to my satisfaction. Maybe Jennifer Aniston because I think she's hot, lol. If J.K. Rowling was an actress she could play Christine. I'd have to think about who could play the guys.

SandyMac 09-18-2005 12:25 AM

The actress to play Stevie's part should be Genie Francis that used to play Laura Spencer on General Hospital. She is about the same height and both have long blond hair.

Matthew McConaughey to play Lindsey

Nicksluvver 09-18-2005 12:32 AM

I bet one day VH1 will do the movie about FM, with a bunch of unknown actors, like they did for Def Leppard and MC Hammer!

LiquidBlue5000 09-18-2005 07:06 AM

Carrie Fisher in a wig could play Stevie... :wavey:

... we all know they were seperated at birth anyway ;)

ontheEdgeof17 09-18-2005 07:10 AM

I would play Stevie. Thanks. Good day.

GypsyAsh 09-18-2005 12:02 PM

That guy from Entourage on HBO... Adrian Grenier looks so much like a young Lindsey.... yum.
I found a picture of him for the curious.
Here ya go.http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/...nier,%20Adrian

Jason Lee would be a good Mick.

toodles
Ash

Mari 09-18-2005 12:05 PM

Scarlet Johansen (sp?! I never get it right)

Serrart 09-18-2005 12:43 PM

For younger Stevie: LeeLee Sobieski, Gretchen Mol, Sophia Myles... or Curtis.

30-40 something: Emily Watson, Virginia Madsen

Now: Kathleen Quinlan, Juliet Stevenson

GypsySongbird 09-18-2005 02:11 PM

A convincing case. I think Sienna Miller is fab, so she's a great choice. Only if we can still keep Linda Hunt for the current elderly incarnation of Stevie, though.

golddustdragon 09-18-2005 03:09 PM

Scarlett Johanssen is a better choice for a young Stevie. Perhaps if she could pull a Robert De Niro, she could be older Stevie.

I don't think think they need to have anyone play the older group. They should just do what they did for the Tina Turner's life film...just insert the real thing at the very end. Use The Dance footage. No cool stories to tell after Lindsey left anyway.
