Is LB on this forum

Does anyone eles ever think lindsey actually views this forum. Or even is he a member disguised as someone else. How cool would that be? I had my suspicions about that for a while now.

It's just a thought

shackin'up 09-16-2005 06:08 AM

Yeah.
He chose the name shackin'up just to annoy the sh*t out of the chiffonheads. :D :D

WelshWitchPMD 09-16-2005 06:16 AM

Wouldn't surprise me if he did at least lurk on The Ledge. Come on out now Lindsey!

wherever you are :)

Miss Vicky 09-16-2005 07:44 AM

Somehow I doubt that he's been viewing the boards. I just don't see him doing that, I think he has better, more important things to do than read over all the BS that his fans have been discussing. Same for Stevie and John.

Mick, on the other hand, might just be vain enough to do it.

Madness Fades 09-16-2005 08:13 AM

Jees Vicky you are the voice of pessisim.
I still reckon he takes a peek.
the laws of Human curiosity would not allow him to avoid it i dont think.
Wonder why he dosent communicate with the real fans anyway....
Its not like hes Bono or Oasis or Madonna with millions upon millions of devoted fans.

Anyway if hes listening its imperative that he puts Ireland on his next tour.

Whats the chances

It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it. :D

sodascouts 09-16-2005 08:27 AM

I doubt he does. He does not seem too comfortable with technology (note his slicing of tape with a razor in the Say You Will documentary). It's likely people close to him check the boards and perhaps give him a filtered version of what is being said when they find something they think he might like to know, but even that is probably rare.

xxxmx 09-16-2005 08:36 AM

either way, tell him i think he's beautiful... ;)

ReFleetwoodMac 09-16-2005 08:49 AM

Ehm, no that can't be him (but Stevie rocks, I must agree)

Madness Fades 09-16-2005 09:25 AM

Should we ban talking about how gook lookin LB is.
its like a westlife or boyzone, boyband forum when the women get started.

Ummm... isn't Bobo a guy?

In any case, if we ban talking about how sexy Lindsey is, then we must ban all discussion of how hot (insert pukey smiley here) Stevie is. I'll take that trade off. :D

Yeah, why can't we be more like men, who never post anywhere about a woman's looks and care nothing about how hot a woman is.

golddustwoman77 09-16-2005 09:42 AM

I'm sure that Lindsey has better things to do with his time: family, music, etc. The only reason that he might lurk on the board would be because his curiosity got the better of him, and he just had to know what we all thought of him and his music. :p

Mari 09-16-2005 09:45 AM

That sort of implies that we don't have better things to do with our time :p

Madness Fades 09-16-2005 10:46 AM

Well dont be ganging up on me ladies

I dont think i said stevie is sexy, hot, fit or any other of those things. Theres a lot of fit women around but shes not my type at all

I didn't mean that! :D We choose to make this part of our time. I was just saying that Lindsey probably has less time than most people. A star's life is unbelievably hectic, as we all know.

estranged4life 09-16-2005 11:01 AM

All I can say is...

Anyone see that early episode of West Wing when Josh Lyman responds to someone on a Josh Lyman message board?

PERFECT example of why a celebrity who is the topic of a message board should keep away from said message board like Superman stays away from Kryptonite. Unless they set up & run the board themselves...like Bob Welch & Brian Wilson did.

Taku Hirano also does that and went to Nancy's board to correct someone who said he was no longer married. He is such a great guy!

Taku is the first person closely connected with Fleetwood Mac (as opposed to connected with Stevie only) who actually made it known that he uses the Internet regularly & skillfully. He used to post as Helen472 or something to Usenet, which is ultra-cool on several levels: first, posting pseudonymously; & second, posting to Usenet indicates a definite savvy!

When all of that occurred, I was instantly disposed to like Hirano-san.

MiniLindsey 09-16-2005 12:57 PM

OK, I've been hiding it this whole time.

You know how I know, like everything about Lindsey's guitar playing?
All the tunings and capo positions for every single song?
Even his impossible-to-figure-out arrangement of "Here Comes the Sun?"

Well,

It's because I am Lindsey Buckingham.

Thank you all for your support.

-Lindsey

P.S. Gullible's written on the ceiling.

Interesting. "less time" in what way?

Oh? I didn't know that. I sort of assumed that immense wealth -- the sort of wealth that accrues from selling 70 or 80 million albums -- generally affords one quite a bit more leisure time than the general mob of people -- those without such wealth -- have.

I've always thought that the life of, for example, a working, divorced mother of four or five young kids is unbelievably hectic.

Right then autographs aside forget about the hero's welcome - any chance i could get a copy of your list of tabs. I could be doing with them.

Does lindsey lurk?...yep, I bett'cha he does
A "guest" can linger quite happily without ever having to reveal themselves..bet Mrs B does too. Another 10 years from now, William, LeeLee and Stella will be at it.......

It's only impossible to figure out...BECAUSE IT SUCKS!!

I'll stick with Harrison's original...an INFINITELY better one.

mylittledemon 09-16-2005 02:16 PM

I personally think he doesn't. He may have seen the site a couple of times, but I dont think he really has time for stuff like this. Besides, he probably would think we're all nuts anyway. His wife may, check this site out from time to time though. Then again, she may be so far removed from what Lindsey means to us (as fans) that she doesnt care either. Either way, no big deal.

I'd like to comment on that "less time" thing. You see, he lives in an alternate universe where there are only 20 hours in a day, and a mere 4 days in a week. So, you see, he is actually allotted less time.

I was just stating that Lindsey is such a perfectionist that, if he isn't spending time with his family and raising three kids, that he is probably totally absorbed in his music and trying to make it, well, perfect. Therefore, he has very little, free time to be surfing around the web to see what people are saying about him. Of course, this is only an assumption. But you know what they say about assumptions, they make an ass out of you and me. Is this what you are trying to prove with your post? Trust me. I'm not making an ass of myself, only doing what everyone on here does---state my opinion.

No, Chili is right on this one. I was apalled.

Madness Fades 09-16-2005 02:46 PM

Heres a thought,
If he does read this forum he probably knows every single member who has downloaded copyrighted material.
So i would just like to point out Lindsey (if your reading) i have bought and paid for everything you have released. And will continue to do so.
Thats my ass covered anyway

HAHAHA! Nice save there. I would have to admit that I bought a live show from the Out of the Cradle tour on a bootleg CD...and the quality was poor anyway.

I doubt that he surfs the web at all....

but just in case...

Hey Linds? I'm 5ft 1&1/2", I've got blond hair and brown eyes. And I'm young enough to be your daughter. Call me. :D

amber 09-16-2005 03:48 PM

This reminds me, a few weeks ago I was seeing who was online, and someone named:

Jana Anderson (or if she spells her last name "Andersen")

was logged on. And I couldn't look up anything about her user profile. It said "restricted" and all that.
So, I think it was actually Jana Anderson.
