Ledgie Convention Hypothesis

If there were a Ledgie Convention for Fleetwood Mac Ledgie fans, which Ledgies would you want to be in charge of various jobs or duties?

I'm with you on New Orleans. I think it might be a year before that kind of thing would be possible, but then we were talking about doing this in a year, right?

Why do there have to be speakers?

I'll take charge of the music. Street Angel Remixes anyone? :woohoo:

Oh! Damn, I feel like an idiot. I thought he meant speakers, as in people who have to speak. Man, it hurts to be this dumb!

Anyway, I didn't think that much planning had to be involved. I thought it would be more of just a casual meeting. I have a specific person in mind and if I could just meet her (nothing fancy) then I would be on cloud nine. But she wouldn't come.

I didn't feel left out, I just didn't think you and Diss should plan everything. :) As if I wouldn't have been a dancing girl anyway. Hell, I'm a dancing girl right now!
I want to pick people's clothes. That's not a job, though. I will also be in charge of eating.

Once again, my stupidity is physically painful.

But I'll go back to the original question if anyone's interested in answering because it still stands. Or it will until I realize how stupid it is.

Goldie could help you pick out clothing!!!!!!!!!

We have to let Diss. in on all the planning as he will NEVER stop bitching about everything if we do not.

As for me, if I am paying for it - HELLO :p

Only if Sparky is helping him will I trust that scenario. Do you know, the man doesn't like green!?

David, I'm not sure how much time I'm willing to commit to this.

Miss Vicky 09-06-2005 12:21 AM

I know, i feel bad. I'll have to nominate myself right now as numero uno threadjackeruesa. :( Although, technically, we are still talking about the subject....I nominated Strand for greeting, but I'll be Bill to his Hillary....

Location_London. Because I love that city and it's a lot closer (thus cheaper) for me than the States. Hey, don't forget all of us international ledgies!! And, there's some mac history there, right.

Entertainment_Fleetwood Bac, Karaoke, twirling competitions, look-alike competitions, stand-up comedy by bobo & lux, jamsessions for all the ledgie musicians, a movieroom with the Tusk tourdoc and all those Soundstage shows on program, (stolen from fireflies) an albumcover re-creation competition.. oh! Christine McVie!

Speakers_anyone who's done quick because I don't like speakers.

Trade Tables_oh yes, yum...

Merchandise_yum.. just don't let the official fanclub take care of it

Food_potluck? Or since we're in the UK anyway, maybe Christine could cook us her famous steak.

Dream locations:
London (quite a few UK Ledgies, plus Lionel Ritchie's clay head)
Hawaii (just cuz I want to go to Hawaii)
Australia (we could all stay at Lux's place)

Realistic locations:
Cleveland - we could go to the R&R HOF. Yes, I know, it's not that great from what I've heard. But it would give us SOME connection with Mac.

Vegas is another option - most people can get pretty cheap flights & rooms.

Neither is really centrally located (well, they both kind of are for East or West coasts, but not for both.) We could all go somewhere smack dab in the middle of the U.S. like Kansas, I suppose, but I don't think that would be a really popular option.
