I do not have the rampant Brittany here. I think she is okay and some of her songs are fluffy fun.

so true - I can't help but like most of her songs in a very here today, gone tomorrow kind of way, but she personally makes me want to vomit

The reason she cut her hair...is so it would grow back the longer blonde she originally had it. She was using extentions for so long.

She is pregnant in this picture? And it is recent? I would say there has been major airbrushing if that's the case. I saw a recent picture of her in a mag the other day... in a bikini looking very pregnant. And she looked much fuller around the face.

I hate the hair, I hate the makeup, I hate the look. She is prettier than THAT and it's an image. ALL about image. I mean look at her a month ago, she needs to pick who she is before she has a baby.

Why does her face look so dirty and icky? Yuck!

That photo is just not such a good one of her. The other photos from that setion look pretty good! I'll try and find them and post them.

Her hair will grow out...is what I keep telling myself! lol

and hopefully go back to being brown...I don't care for her blonde hair much.

She's never really had long hair. Extensions. She's all fake in front of the camera.

I'm with you, Lux. I don't find that particular picture especially revolting. A little insincere since she's posing all sweet-and-innocent like with her little stuffed animal when in actual fact she's a trashy little (insert favorite derogatory name here). And I too don't really care so I'll let everyone else continue in their conversation.

I don't like her hair. It's horrible. My best friend is pregnant, 26, 7 months along and she didn't have to cut her hair...she remained the same, looks great.
I don't see why she cut her hair, but hey, none of my business. I just think it looks horrible.

I also don't like her makeup. The light lipstick looks horrendous.

Someone said it looked like a Sears catalog and it does.

She can look very pretty. I know she wants to look like a mom. But the people at ELLE magazine should be shot. They should have straightened her hair, put some natural yet darker makeup on her and let her just be herself..like the cover which is much, much better.

The ugh was the look, and the UGH was for how this isn't her. You see pics of her in the beginning of August wearing a bikini and screaming and acting wild and normal ( for her).

She is a star, by choice. She could have gone anywhere in the world and hid herself but she didn't. She wants to share this with the world. Her choices tho are laughable. How she carried herself...braless, stained, greasy. She looked horrible. Now suddenly she wants to clean up and be Donna Reed. It's hard to take it seriously and you wonder how much longer after the baby is born will she be seen in clubs half naked ( and she has gone to clubs while pregnant).

She is exploiting the baby. She is using it to change her image and it's sad. She couldn't just put out a good album or conduct herself in a different way. Instead she does a photo shoot that everyone will talk about and say OH BRITNEY...she's adorable. I don't buy it * and I won't buy it*.

So many people want to love her. Madonna is 47 years old. They want a new Madonna, someone new and Britney was the closest we got, people don't want to lose that.

You know what, I feel sorry for the baby already.

Its statements like this that really upset me! Know one here, to my knowledge, knows or has even met Britney...correct? The public has an automatic perception about who Britney is due to the way the media has always portrayed her. Even though she has made mistakes...who in this world hasn't? It's just that her mistakes make the front page news. She is still a human being, and I think deserves respect, because it is impossible for us to know HER and who she is as a person! I'm happy for her, and wish her the best with her new family.

Then again, I really can't stand Christina...so who am I to speak?

Even if Brit wasn't a celebrity, I think she'd still be known around town as "that crazy barefooted pregnant lady". In a way I feel like she purposefully tries to make herself look goofy and look like **** in public.

aww hell to the no! Christina has more talent in her pinkie than Britney (or Brit as you so affectionately refer to her) can ever hope for and Britney has even said so. Christina may look "trashy" to some and talk smack, but the bottom line is she doesn't give a flying f*** - she is who she is, will dress and say how she feels and could care less if I or you or anyone else agrees with her. I love Christina and her music, her talent and her ability to have more balls than most of us.

I think her "reality" show Chaotic or whatever it was called pretty much confirmed what most have thought of her all along...I myself saw one episode and she confirmed all my suspicions -

not likely to grow back "long" and certainly not all natural - have you seen the pics of her in US Weekly; they showed her extensions, which start very high atop her head. I suspect the length she has now is about as much as she can get "naturally"

Britney is far from being natural in more ways than one, as is Miss Aguilera (before anyone goes there) - as are the majority of pop icons today

and Britney is who she is and doesn't give a f*ck! Facts are Britney has sold more records, and has been more of an influence on pop culture! Simple as that!

Also her kiss with Madonna was just ten times more hot than the Christina/Madonna one.

I am not a fan of Britney's but she is going to be a mother. Once that baby is born, maybe, just maybe she will change as a person and be a good mother. Heck, maybe her trashy hubby will finally become a good father? Sometimes, women who are like Britney's public image do change as people. Hell, look at Madonna. Some people grow up and do change. She looks happy and beautiful in the photos to me. Let her be happy at this time. She is human, not perfect. None of us are perfect.

A - I have been a member of the Ledge since the late 90's.

B - Bush is, imo, an arrogant idiot without the life experience, work experience, people experience or intelligence needed to run a country.

C - Your response is laughable. Selling more albums and influencing pop culture doesn't equal talent - if that's what you are suggesting. One instance that comes to mind is on her Onyx Tour that aired on cable television, first off she lipsynched 99% of the show, but when it came time for her "hit" ballad Everytime, she gave live singing a go - woops, bad idea...she sounded like she had swallowed rusty nails.

D - The Britney vs. Christina fight is so 2001 (we all know who has the goods; vocally and lyrically...and we'll see it in about 10 years) - move on...
