Most Mac Fans Are...

Hey.

I don't know if you all have noticed and similarities in Fleetwood Mac fans or not.
I have noticed some...

Mostly...
a.) They're Liberal
b.) They love Simpsons

 :D

You guys notice any more? Haha. I love it. :]

shackin'up 09-02-2005 03:27 AM

and They're chit-chat-sick homosexuals.... :p

Mari 09-02-2005 03:49 AM

 You beat me to it!

eclipse 09-02-2005 05:22 AM

I don't know....

I'm not homosexual...., Happily married, in fact :xoxo:

Lol. That's it... BE GONE. :)
I'm not the "typical" mac fan either. lol
I'm conservative... and straight...

But I DO love the Simpsons.

Mari 09-02-2005 05:50 AM

Don't worry people, it's the exception that confirms the rule :D

(I hope that that's an english expression too, ahum)

Gypsy-Rhiannon 09-02-2005 06:34 AM

...well I guess I'm not a typical Mac fan then... lol

Pip

Gailh 09-02-2005 07:20 AM

well I'm straight, liberal and don't much care for the Simpsons. Except the bit at the beginning where Bart writes on the blackboard - "A burp is not an answer" - classic!

Am I typical?

Gail

Your attempts at stereotyping Mick Mac fans is not only degrading, but highly insulting. You may now slink away into the darkness where no one will be aware of your feeble dabbling in the stereotyping arts.

Ok.

*Add to list... Mac fans are plain out weird.* :xoxo:

I have noticed the liberal, Simpson-loving thing, too. I am both. I am also a non-subscriber to religion. I am heterosexual. With leanings toward a lesbian encounter with Stevie. Even if it's in my dreams. :p I have also noticed I like many of the same comedy shows that were listed in that thread. So it appears the same types of humor, and music, are shared with a great many Mac fans. Hobbies seem to be of the artistic nature, too. Writing, drawing and painting. Maybe cooking too. These are all things I enjoy.

danax6 09-02-2005 02:06 PM

Heh, I am a straight Mac/Stevie fan, that loves the Simpsons and can't be put in any political party since she doesn't live in the States. I think I could be Liberal though. But my knowledge about American politics doesn't extend far enough to be certain of that.

RockNRollFaerie 09-02-2005 02:21 PM

whoohoo, I'm not a typical mac fan! I'm conservative/libral (more conservative though), straight, and sorta like the Simpsons, I'm more a Family Guy fan

liberal in the states is what we would call 'links' here.

That's a little too fast, Mari.

Liberal in the States is politically speaking Right-wing (VVD) over here. Left wing in America does not exist in the trad. democrate/republican twoparty system. The sort of conservatism they know over there is not big in The Netherlands: maybe SGP-Wilders- e.d. marginal parties come close......

No, no, no, that's not me. I am a Groen Links voter. :)

PenguinHead 09-03-2005 10:18 AM

Is it safe to say that the majority of fans are possibly whitebread? Or maybe even Wonderbread?

I don't know about those two. If you're going to attempt to generalize about "most Mac fans," stick to the easy stuff: they're middle-aged and white.

It's all in fun.

I'm not middle-aged! ;)

DeeGeMe 09-03-2005 05:07 PM

I am a liberal. I do love the Simpsons. But I'm straight.

I will add that it appears that a good many of us are computer geeks or at least love to spend a lot of time on the internet and are also big into trading demos/live shows, etc.

SteveMacD 09-03-2005 05:33 PM

Count me in as a Simpson's fan. I'm left of center, but really, not that far left. Oh, and I AM straight.

Of course, the Fleetwood Mac fans who aren't "computer geeks" or who don't spend time on the Internet or trade bootlegs probably wouldn't be a very prominent demographic on an Internet message board.

I'm very liberal, but I don't like The Simpsons. It was good when it was on The Tracey Ullman Show, though.

isn't that what we call liberaal? It's just that whenever I hear the word 'liberal' used to describe certain opinions or people, they do mean more left on the political spectrum. I think. I dunno. I guess what WE call links/left, they call commies :D

Besides, even though Ledgies are the only ones that count... Ledgies aren't the only Mac fans out there.

GateandGarden 09-04-2005 07:54 PM

Everyone knows my political affiliation and sexual orientation already :p but I just wanted to add that I'm a casual Simpsons fan, basically. I watch it if I see that it's on and I have nothing else to do.

But if we're in the business of stereotyping...I don't think we have very many black FM fans. I know they're out there, but there aren't many, it seems. I knnow we had a thread about this before.

DownOnRodeo 09-06-2005 03:35 AM

I loooooove The Simpsons. :wavey:

Yes, that's why I called our left side of the political spectrum 'commies'. OT useless knowledge tidbit, the last Dutch regional communist party is right here in Groningen (the province this time, not the city).

I watched The Simpsons twice, it was ok, does that make me a Fleetwood Mac fan?

Well.. if you're gay & white, that does up your chances. Middle-aged usually does it too, at least around here it does.

<-- not middle-aged either.

dontlookdown 09-06-2005 12:37 PM

liberal, yes. Simpsons fans, yes.
But then again so are most intelligent people with good taste.

Are there any self-respecting educated people with good taste out there that aren't liberal (open-minded)?

A) that is correct
B) hell yeah

Isn't that weird?

That is pretty weird, but nothing's wrong with that  :wavey:

And I've noticed something else: Some of them are dutch-speaking ;)
