The Killers

Anyone else grooving to The Killers 'Hot Fuss' CD? When I first heard it I was not blown away. But damn did this album grow on me. I'm really loving it.

I 100% love Andy, You're A Star. Song ROCKS.

Gonna give them a try live in October here in California.

Hmm, I've heard alot about them, never gotten much of a chance to hear most of their stuff, but from what I've heard they're not too bad.

I love them! :)

You going to the Long Beach show?

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE them. :sorry: "All These Things That I've Done," especially. The lyrics to that one are painful ("I've got soul but I'm not a soldier"). I think he has a nice voice, but can someone please explain that ridiculous fake accent that he insists on using?

The video for "Mr. Brightside" with Eric Roberts kicks some major ass, though.

Hey! :wavey: I haven't thought about going to any of their shows, but it sounds cool.

HI

I've been obsessed with The Killers since last Feb. No one else was into them then. Ive got some live torrents on my page..and a ton of remixes & Demos...

I Love them...

Stevie_Buck 09-02-2005 01:39 AM

I'm grooving!

Johnny Stew 09-02-2005 01:41 AM

My brother bought the album, and I'm hooked.

ontheEdgeof17 09-02-2005 02:49 AM

I like them sometimes, and bored with them others. I can't decide. I do own the album, though.....

ryan8472 09-02-2005 05:55 AM

Yes, I love The Killers. More than Franz Ferdinand. (Not really - I just had to get that in to spite Josh) :p

But really tho, I <3 them. I want a new album from them. And Brandon Flowers is extreamly hot, for the 1,000th time. :o

I am going mental waiting for the new album. I can't take it anymore. Just got a boot from a show they did a couple of weeks ago with lots of the new songs ("This Boy" is so fantastic) and October 4th cannot get here fast enough.

I liked the Killers when they were still kinda "indie" but the more exposure they got, the less I liked them. When I hear something too much, I withdraw. I listened to the album quite a bit when it first came out and really liked it.

I saw them in concert a few month ago and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. They had no stage presense and the new material they performed was very dull.

So, I gotta say, I'm ovahhhh the Killahhhhs

As far as modern bands go, I've castmy lot with the Stereophonics. But there are more than enough fans of the Killers to go around.

I can relate. That happened with me when I saw Interpol live.

Unfortunatly, that happens to alot of bands once they get more exposure.

Probably "Mr. Brightside". It's a clear rip-off of Blondie's "Dreaming," all the way down to the echoing vocals in the beginning, but it's listenable, imo. "Somebody Told Me" has the most vapid lyric I've ever heard in my life, though: "Somebody told me/That you have a boyfriend/Who looks like a girlfriend/That I had in February of last year."

This is a really good, catchy song. I really dig it and that doesn't happen often the first time I hear a song. I like the lyrics as well. Their sound as a whole though is not very unique. I've heard lot of bands with this sound as of late. I must say though I'm impressed...

One of my favorite songs of last year was "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdenand and that's not particularly my favorite kind of music but the first time I heard the song I was blown away. I still go crazy every time I hear it. I decided to dl some of their other songs but non matched Take Me Out. What an incredible song!!

Download "Come On Home," that's my fave Franz song. :D They haven't released a song yet that I dislike one bit. Bloody brilliant band.

Are you in love with Take Me Out like I am? Is this possibly one of the most amazing tracks ever? I love how it starts off really fast and then completely changes tempo! I'm listening right now. Can we say EARGASM! Going to dl Come on home...

I'm a huuuuuuuuge Franz Ferdinand WHORE. I think every song they've come out with is utterly sublime. Can't wait for their new one in October.

It's just ok. I need to listen to it a few more times perhaps? It's not Take Me Out, that's for sure. I can't believe you like it more than Take Me Out. I am however really into this Mr. Brightside by the Killers.

Moony 09-02-2005 09:52 PM

The Killers are...

overrated, if you ask me. And they suck live.

Janet 09-02-2005 10:34 PM

I heard it yesterday actually. The last song is pretty cool.

They are ok, I couldn't fall madly in love with them but they have some good songs.

I always loved that lyric.

Haven't heard a live performance. Their studio stuff annoys me too much as it is, but I imagine they'd be even worse in concert.
