I can't believe they updated the fiona-apple.com website (after 5 years of When The Pawn stuff)... Thanks for the heads-up!!! |
I just recently discovered Kate Bush. I very rarely buy CDs when they first come out. Usually I buy all kinds of old vinyl albums and cassette tapes. Kate's new album will be the first new album I buy since Trouble in Shangri-La four years ago.

Janet, i really like your musical taste, i'm buying all those 3 too.

Kate Bush! :blob2: I honestly thought that after 12 years we'd never hear from her again .I certainly hope this is accurate.
|
Oh, actually my mom bought Say You Will, so I just use that one. I didn't have to buy it.

I liked "The Red Shoes" work back then, & managed to track down the sheet music songbook/folio, too. the last I actually heard of Ms. Bush was that beautiful "Ma No Niminy-Piminy" or whatever -- the Gaelic track from some soundtrack -- & that was about six or eight years ago, so I gave up on her (although her fans are a lot cooler than FM fans). |
I work in a music store, and we get all the release dates, and the New Kate Bush will be released in late october, well, atleast in New Zealand Anyway....

I heard she doesn't tour because of her insane fear of flying. I would love to see her live some day... |

WHAAAAAT? I'm totally going to investigate the Canadian release date RIGHT NOW!!! |

I frickin LOVE Fiona and have every intention of seeing her this go-round, God willing that she tours!
As for Bush, I am really Hot/cold with her. Either Adore the stuffin' out of some of her works or abhore it. Real weird. Don't know much about her, but the Hounds of Love is a must have cd! Depeche Mode. Being a fan of the 80's, and the alternative wave of that era, they are essential, but since then? I mean are they worth the weight of a CD since say late 80's to early 90's? I'm not "dissin" here, just legit asking. I kinda thought they had fallen off the planet creatively since Violater. Tell me, am I missing out on something great since then? Otherwise, hell yea. Great taste in music! |

There is a video (possibly dvd) you can get of a massively edited show from her tour called live at the hammersmith apollo. |

If anyone wants the chords to "Blow Away" or any other Kate Bush song, just holler. |

I love Kate Bush. The song she did with Peter Gabriel, "Don't Give Up", is pure heaven.
