Where is Stevie?

I know she is grieving.....so maybe we should leave her alone.....but .......I miss her!!!

Yeah... sigh... my grandfather died over two years ago and it took my mother a very long time to deal with her grief. She still has very difficult days. I think it is fair to say that Stevie will be out of commission for a year. Or perhaps the death of her father will bring forth a surgence of creativity. Who knows. But I wish her the best and think about her and her family often. :xoxo:

1.) Someplace in Arizona.

Personally if I was her I'd get the whole family on a plane, pick up my

Kibbles and Bits, throw Sulamith and Sara in the cargo hold and go to

France, and rent a chatteau there for a month or so.

Change of environment might be nice, and no craziness there.

Poor woman's been on tour more than half the time since 1975 -

time for some down time, no???

Yeah it pisses me off too.

I've been told that she IS aware of the goings-on here,

and she IS bothered by it,

and it DOES hurt her feelings.

the "goings on here"???? ummm, we are all her fans... and we have our opinions.. this is not a Stevie Nicks insult board (although dissention would have you convinced it is :wavey: ), so i can't see why it would hurt her feelings.. :shrug:

Just curious - how do you know for sure that Stevie is upset by things that get talked about on this board??

Doubt it. Stevie is, by her own admission, internet-phobic. I imagine she is kept fairly sheltered from this realm of her fandom. This message board is the last thing on her mind.

Stevie does NOT read the Ledge. Like Tiff said, she is an admitted internet-phobic for one and the other thing is I was told that the people around her keep this kind of stuff from her because it really affects her and she is very sensative. The source basically relayed to me that SHE DOES NOT WANT TO KNOW. Trust me, she does not come here and probably never will.

I absolutely agree. And especially at a time like this I certainly don't think she would be even remotely interested in the goings on of this message board

i think ghosttracker is just new and wants to sound like he/she knows something, some scoop, when in fact knows nothing...give us a break..Stevie doesnt monitor the fan boards lol..

I don't believe that Ghostracker ever said that she moniters fan boards. I believe what he said was that she occassionally hears about the content of certain topics and it upsets her. That is very different than her sitting by her PC trolling the Ledge. I am not trying to stick up for GT, I don't know either way if Stevie knows anything about the internet. I am just saying, lets be honest about what this guy has said and try to treat him fairly. Just because someone is newly registered, does not mean they haven't lurked for years and years. I know plenty of people who read the Ledge but would never post.
Back to the topic... Celebrities have PR people for a reason and I believe that the guy who runs the SLN.info site has confirmed that he has been contacted by Stevie's people regarding stuff he has on his site. It is that crazy to think that once in a great while, Stevie's manager, or niece, or friend might mention something to Stevie that they saw online? I think we have pretty much rock solid proof that her inner circle know what is going on on these boards if they are contacting webmasters/mistresses regarding content.

The problem is that GT inferred that he had inside info and used it to judge all those involved in the offending thread by way of the "Congratulations" remark. Really this is just another "I'm a better fan than you" situation; why are people surprised that kind of attitude ruffles feathers?

Frankly, if I have or any fan has something to say about Stevie that's not simply nasty, like talking about her weight, I think I or any fan should feel they have the right to say it. Do you think she shouldn't ever do "Circle Dance" again? Say it. Think she half-assed it at a show? Spill it. Do you think "Landslide" is melodramatic crap? Have fun, tell the world.

Whether Stevie knows what's happening on this message board will not change the way I approach my posts. I seriously doubt she gets a blow-by-blow report of everything that goes down here, but she specifically mentioned how hurtful it was when people were "talking about my weight on the Internet."
