Who is your favourite Beatle?

I was just watching the Concert For Bangladesh DVD filmed back in 1971 and I just realised how immensely cool George Harrison was. The "quiet Beatle", he wrote some magnificent songs; Here Comes The Sun, Something, My Sweet Lord etc and he was a first rate guitarist. He's definitely my favourite Beatle.

Who is yours?

hayley 08-25-2005 03:41 PM

George is my favorite Beatle, followed closely by Paul. I've never been a Lennon girl.

estranged4life 08-25-2005 03:45 PM

I have to say...

that I like all 4 equally....Though I relate to John Lennon the most.

amber 08-25-2005 03:46 PM

I don't care for the Beatles much, but I picked George.

ryan8472 08-25-2005 03:47 PM

I like Paul the most. Then John.

Moony 08-25-2005 03:52 PM

Lennon. George and Ringo are fine too, but I've always thought Paul to be a huge twat.

Me, too.

I'm not a Beatles fan, but I've always liked George the most out of them all.

trackaghost 08-25-2005 04:01 PM

Someone vote for Ringo! I mean he's worked with Stevie

skcin 08-25-2005 04:05 PM

George.

Dreammms 08-25-2005 04:09 PM

John and George.

Not a big Beetles fan. I like their song writing, but I don't like their voices. I find that they yell when they sing which drives me crazy. When they started getting high, though, they started to sing at a normal volume. "I WANNAAAAAAA HOLD YOUR HAAAAAAND!" Do you really have to yell it? You could just say "I wanna hold your hand" and it would probably work just as well!

all the same 08-25-2005 04:24 PM

Oh yeah, and I said George. He was in the Traveling Wilburies and they were coooool. Did I spell it right?

George. I love George.

McCartney's singing style was influenced by Little Richard in the early days so...

LiquidBlue5000 08-25-2005 05:23 PM

John... the legend~

I love George but I had to go with John. I've loved him ever since I was little. For "Imagine" alone he has to get the top spot.

Then Ringo for "Shining Time Station." I'm kidding!

I'm a huge, huge Beatles fan & George is my favorite with Paul my second choice.

Sharon, how did you see the Concert For Bangladesh DVD? It's not supposed to be released until Oct. 25th.

michelle2677 08-25-2005 05:58 PM

Paul McCartney

MMMmmmmmmmm...

Serrart 08-25-2005 07:06 PM

Paul McCartney: the best songwriter of the group for me and he plays bass, a major appealing factor for me. :D

Romy

Pete Best.
George is second.

I'm not their biggest fan, but George is easily my favorite.

LuckyCharms 08-25-2005 10:37 PM

I picked George! He was like a fine wine that only got better with age (this means as he got older I found him to be hotter). The video for "I got my mind set on you" is so the awsome-ness, LOL! I love it! :)

Wilburys. Probably not grammatically correct (but then, wtf is a Wilbury anyways?), but that's how they spelled it.

Thanks for clarifying! I have no idea what a Wilbury is either!

My husband seems to think they are a cartoon family on Nickelodeon who travels the world filming a nature show

I got to see an advanced copy but I have to return it in a week - that's Apple for you! It's great stuff though, definitely worth buying and there's a fantastic documentary on there too.

John and George are neck and neck!

lagringader&r 08-26-2005 05:07 AM

They're all pretty cool but I have to go with John.

Oooh, you're lucky. :) I didn't know there was a documentary along with the concert. I definitely intend to buy it. I've heard the concert, but never seen it.

GODDESS6 08-26-2005 06:26 AM

i love them all but george is my all time fav, bigtime, ever since listening to my ma's concert for bangladesh lp box set as a wee one~ he is wonderful!!!~

Hawkeye 08-26-2005 02:10 PM

The two dead ones are my favorites, which sucks, but they are easily the best 2, with John probably edging out George.

Nico 08-26-2005 02:51 PM

I go with....

John.

Very difficult, this "who is your favorite Beatle?' thing. After all, George was my musical love since I was 10. I never paid John any attention because I always felt he was way over my head <--- no pun intended.

But then I discovered him. And I've never really looked back. It's so thrilling to discover a new artist in general, but when it's John Lennon and like everything is as close to magical as you can get...nothing beats it.

Paul is ok (though great in the Beatles). His solo music has some high points, but overall fairly average to below. Ringo is awesome! Such a personality, and his "Ringo" album is great. And George is wonderful...still love him dearly. :xoxo:

Okay, I broke down and voted for Ringo. Someone had to do it. John is really my favorite, though. I really think he was an amazing human being who truly lived what he believed.

SteveMacD 08-26-2005 09:07 PM

Stuart Sutcliffe

DownOnRodeo 08-26-2005 09:21 PM

I'm no Beatles expert but..

My vote goes to Paul.
