Everywhere you look - dizzy whip!

You know, I don't think there's a man, woman, or child on the face of the earth today that doesn't enjoy a steamin' cold mug full of dizzy whip.

trackaghost 08-23-2005 02:11 PM

One day I will form a band called Dizzy Whip.

Great Joni quote. Where was that from, 'cause it's totally familiar to me. Was it that tv special she did after her first orchestral record?

I always wanted to form a band called Big Drunk Girl. You're invited to join, Sharon. Maybe we could augment the name to Big Girl Drunk On Dizzy Whip so that both of our needs will be met.

Thanks. :xoxo:

I took it from Miles of Aisles (the live album that came out after Court and Spark). Although it's so good, I doubt she only said it once.

She talks quite a bit on there, plus some great audience banter. At one point, some guy screams out: "Joni, you have more class than Mick Jagger, Richard Nixon, and Gomer Pyle combined!"

StevieNicksEO17 08-23-2005 03:23 PM

What the crap is Dizzy Whip?

Words straight out of a randomizer, of course.

SuzeQuze 08-23-2005 04:34 PM

I want to be a backup singer! With an occasional song of my own! :wavey:

Coincidentally, A Randomizer is one of the instruments our band will utilize most heavily.

SuzeQuze 08-23-2005 04:41 PM

Dizzy Whip and Hydroponic Culkin are both words from some Letterman skit. Also, according to Google, some refer to nitrous hits from a whip cream can as dizzy whip. There ya go.

ontheEdgeof17 08-23-2005 04:41 PM

I wanna play the maracas. :o

Great way to defeat those pesky creativity blocks when writing lyrics too, poetic or otherwise.

RIGHT!!! It was really bugging me 'cause I totally knew it was from somewhere I knew. Miles of Aisles is a GREAT live record! :D

That sounds good, but I prefer to be co-founder of BGDODW, so when we argue and the band splits up, after we become ridiculously rich and famous that is, I can stop you touring under the name. We won't talk for 15 years because of it, then VH1 will call and offer us a comeback gig and we'll realise what fools we've been and what a beautiful thing Big Girl Drunk On Dizzy Whip really was.

I have it all planned.

You're both in. Now who wants to be groupies?

seeker007nmss 08-23-2005 05:23 PM

I think you should rename the band "free beer". That way the posters will say "Tonight at the Colliseum - Free Beer".
