Sexiest song

I daresay we've discussed this before but today in the UK the papers and radio news have been talking about a new album by Goldfrapp being one of the sexiest ever released.

So I thought which is the sexiest FM song?

I'd say Brown Eyes.

Any thoughts?

Gail

ThePenguin 08-23-2005 08:07 AM

I've always thought Warm Ways was pretty darn sexy.

"Brown Eyes," "Over my Head," "Come a Little Bit Closer," "Hold Me," "Tango in the Night," and "Bleed to Love Her" are all really sexy to me.

GypsySorcerer 08-23-2005 09:53 AM

Brown Eyes - those hypnotic sha la la's
Over My Head - wonderfully sexy, in a subtle way
Tango in the Night - the chorus and the Tangoooooooooooooo yell
Second Hand News - the tall grass and stuff
Angel - you were verrrry, very good

mondaymornin1 08-23-2005 09:59 AM

"Brown Eyes" and "Tango in the Night" for me as well! And maybe "Caroline" with all of the howling.

macfan 57 08-23-2005 10:19 AM

"Brown Eyes" is definitely the sexiest Fleetwood Mac song ever. "Warm Ways" & "Come A Little Bit Closer" are also very sexy songs. "Ricky" certainly isn't a sexy song, but Christine's vocals on that song are VERY sexy.

Richard B 08-23-2005 02:05 PM

I also think Brown Eyes is uber sexy.

Other sexy Mac songs:
Sugar Daddy - Sexy in a sassy way
Say You Love Me
Farmers Daughter
Tusk!

ontheEdgeof17 08-23-2005 02:14 PM

-Brown Eyes

-Over My Head

-Straight Back (in a "get your ass over here and kiss me' sorta way)

-Bleed To Love Her

-Sara

-Nothing Without You

Somebody here ruined Brown Eyes for me last year, when they pointed out that Brown Eyes was something else, too. I can't get the image out of my head, when I hear the song now.

dissention 08-23-2005 02:51 PM

Over My Head is the sexiest. Ever since they used it in Nip/Tuck, I've found to be sexy as hell. Very mellow and subtle.

Tango In the Night is incredibly sexy, mainly because of the vocals.

I don't find any Stevie songs sexy at all, although her ramblings about laces, boots, and eyeshadow are enough to give a drag queen one whopper of a wet dream.

Richard B 08-23-2005 03:48 PM

Let me add...

Albatross

Oooh. So sexy...even though this post is in the Rumours section. Albatross must be mentioned.

Serrart 08-23-2005 03:53 PM

Brown Eyes
Little Lies
Gold Dust Woman
Sisters Of The Moon
Big Love (especially Dance version)
Never Going Back Again
Smile At You
Red Rover
Hold Me
Save Me A Place
That's Alright
Thrown Down
Songbird

"Brown Eyes" was the first song to pop into my head, too, though I was listening to Tusk at work today. I agree with others that "Tango" is pretty damn sexy, too.

But how has nobody mentioned "Come" yet in this thread?

Because it's not very sexy.

  I think Lux is the culprit. I felt that way for awhile, but I managed to get over it because I just love the song so much. I hope the same happens for you. :) No sense in wasting a perfect Chris track.

jbrownsjr 08-23-2005 06:08 PM

I think When I see you again is the sexiest!!!

That song could counteract the effects of viagra. Oy.

catinthedark 08-23-2005 07:51 PM

Yup - definitely Brown Eyes and Tango in the Night. I defy anyone to sit and listen to either of those songs with the person they desire and not jump said person's bones.

Big Love, Live In Boston--very hot!

sara1998 08-23-2005 08:57 PM

By and far- Brown Eyes.

kenzo 08-23-2005 09:14 PM

Hmmm... how about Over and Over?

ShangriLaTroubl 08-24-2005 01:00 AM

Id have to go for either Dreams or Sara...in the album version of Dreams Stevie's voice is really what makes it totally sexy...and Sara is really the lyrics

Chris

DownOnRodeo 08-24-2005 02:21 AM

Don't tell me that you love me - just tell me that you want me!

Christine definitely had the share of 'sexy songs'.
There's the Songbird makeout scene in Love Actually (using Eva Cassidy's cover of the song).
Also, Oh Daddy seems pretty sultry.

Stevie has Dreams... and Not Make Believe!

And Lindsey has Tusk!

GypsySongbird 08-24-2005 05:52 AM

definently brown eyes! also titn, warm ways, sara, over my head, never make me cry, there are more but these are the ones that came into my mind.

what about mystified? -especially christines vocals!

Gailh 08-24-2005 06:57 AM

Is it just me or does Ms McVie feature a lot in everyone's choices?

I noticed that, too. it's her delivery w/ that honey voice, I think. very mellow.

I noticed the same thing. It is not a coincidence. Whenever there's a thread about sexy or romantic Fleetwood Mac songs, Christine is at the top of the list.

I will be upfront and say I'm not the biggest Christine fan - her songs are not my favourite FM songs. BUT - that being said, she does have the sexiest songs. I think along with her smooth voice it's the sort of jazzy rhythms of many of her songs. I find Mick's drumming and John's bass on her tracks have a lot to do with it, too. They always strike the perfect mood to accompany her.

You hit the nail on the head. With songs like Over My Head, Brown Eyes and Warm Ways, the drum/bass sound is a huge part of what make those songs so amazingly sexy. John, Mick and Chris are perfect complements for each other; they're so tight you can hardly pick them apart. And I love her to pieces, but IMO her songs without J and M supporting her voice just seem to lack something. I mean once you have that rhythm section behind you....anything else seems a little bland.

I find quite a few of her solo songs sexy, but I couldn't think of an FM song to mention. I think "undoing the laces" in "Sara" is very sexy but then the song itself isn't sexy in my opinion because it's just too serious. But of course I would go with "Sister Honey" if solo songs counted. :D

I agree, that line a sexual mystique to it, but I don't find anything else sexy about it. Her songs really have no sexual appeal to me, whereas it's different when it comes to Lindsey and Christine. You'll never sell me on the belief that "Sister Honey" is about down there, so...

wondergirl9847 08-24-2005 11:39 AM

Sexiest songs...

Brown Eyes
Tango in the Night (Just heard this on my iTunes and cranked that sucker UP!!! It's got this great atmosphere to it...can't explain it.)

Uh....Come?

Goldfrapp huh? I have their last album. It's strange. I like "Strict Machine."

She WAS in love then. She got married while they were recording those Tango tracks. I think her vocals on the Tango album were her best on any Fleetwood Mac album ever, although not quite as good as on In The Meantime.

I think Christine's material on the Tango album are amongst her strongest.

Her voice on ITM is terrific. She seems to get better vocally with age.
