Which do you like better?? "Two Kinds Of Love" or "No Questions Asked"?

just curious, of these two specific songs, which do you prefer and why? :woohoo:

KarmaContestant 08-16-2005 05:23 PM

:D

No Questions Asked? Is better.

Two Kinds Of Love? Has a little magic in it.

But if I were picking for 'the team', I would choose No Questions Asked first.

GypsySorcerer 08-16-2005 05:26 PM

"No Questions Asked." "Two Kinds of Love" is a snoozer.

Yup.. Imagine the horror if Rupert's vocal had been used instead of Bruce's.

Serendipity 08-16-2005 05:29 PM

"No Questions Asked" is better, altho I do like "Two Kinds of Love". I also want the record to state my thread gave birth to this poll! Wahey. And I'm done.....:D

No Questions Asked by a Landslide.

u asked for it, love :xoxo:

No Questions Asked is better, IMO. As someone else stated, Two Kinds of Love has wierd lyrics... "One for the way you walk...you say I hate this..." the melody sounds off too, IMO.

I actually like both songs. Two Kinds of Love does have its share of snoozables here and there and to me NQA doesn't, so that's why I chose it.

gldstwmn 08-16-2005 05:42 PM

No Questions Asked. Two Kinds Of Love doesn't blow my skirt up at all.

GateandGarden 08-16-2005 05:57 PM

NQA, no doubt. It's one of my favorite FM songs with Stevie. I love the music in all the versions I've heard as well as the vocals and a lot of the lyrics. I don't like "Two Kinds of Love" at all.

Neal 08-16-2005 06:05 PM

'No Questions Asked'.

Because Bruce Hornsby sucks. :p

WildInTheWind 08-16-2005 07:45 PM

No questions asked for sure. Two Kinds of Love drives me crazy...not in a good way!

....but you own a Britney album?

I love them both, but NQA has lyrics that I can relate to better.

SapphireSister 08-16-2005 08:17 PM

Ok I went back and listened to NQA. I'll agree it's a really good song but not better than TKOL IMO. Now my question is, why is this song on 2 FM greatest hits albums? It wasn't a hit for them was it? I'm totally confused. And to put it on not one but TWO GH albums makes absolutely no sense. Someone please explain this to me. Was it even ever released as a single? Nicksfix says B-side of Hold Me. Big deal.

Easy there Curtis - you own a Backstreet Boys album, dontcha??

" Backsides Back....ALL NIGHT!!" :blob1: :xoxo:

Dark Angel 08-16-2005 09:05 PM

No Questions Asked! I detest TKOL with a passion. It drones on, and has crappy lyrics, imo. And, live....someone shoot me! Please? I've heard that song live way too damn many times within the past months.

SweetGirl24 08-16-2005 10:41 PM

While I do like "No Questions Asked" as a whole better, the chorus in "Two Kinds of Love" gives me chills every time! Great harmonies!!

golden braid 08-16-2005 10:56 PM

I like NQA better. It rocks whereas 2 Kinds of Love is sort of sappy. Perhaps it could have been better with different production and no Bruce Hornsby.

sparky 08-17-2005 01:00 AM

What is up with this poll ? It is like asking me if I prefer genital herpes or chlamydia. Both of these songs are garbage.

Lemme see......? Which antibiotic am I NOT allergic to ?

TheBlueLamp 08-17-2005 02:08 AM

This was a tougher choice than the one between NQA & PD. I love both of these songs! I had to go with Two Kinds Of Love. Sure, some of the lyrics are a bit shonky, but I love her voice in it and the chorus rocks!

because "No Questions Asked" rocks!!! :xoxo:

... they obviously know what their best songs are ;)

.. but as a side note, i thought it was odd that "Save Me" did not make the Very Best of 2-CD set... it was a single and there was even a video for it... doesnt make sense to me why they left that one out

Yeah, I don't know what that's about. Also, when my best friend bought the Green Album (before I did) she was really surprised that it didn't have "Landslide" or "The Chain." Or was "Landslide" that big of a hit? Before the Dixie Chicks covered it?

skcin 08-17-2005 08:54 AM

I like NQA a lot better. It's just a better song, IMO.

As far as "Save Me" - it definitely should have made TVBOFM. I remember hearing it on the radio back when it first came out. Great song.

But that still doesn't answer my question as to why this was on 2 of their greatest hits when it was never a hit or released on an album??

It's funny, cuz i didnt even realize that they had omitted it until like a month ago... i was really in the mood to hear and i was looking at the track listing for both discs trying to find it and was like, wtf??

AliP 08-17-2005 03:45 PM

NQA, no doubt about it. Of course, I will defend NQA until the cows come home because I love it to death.

Two Kinds of Love is utter crap. I cringe every time I hear it. Not to mention the atrocious saxaphone makes it ten times worse. I hate that cheesy sax sound (except for in Talk to Me, the only song where it is cool). :woohoo:

i love it to death too!! :blob2:

i always wished Stevie would do it live... it has so much energy and it's such an uplifting song..

SapphireSister 08-18-2005 10:05 PM

Guess I lost that one. Oh well I still love TKOL.

buck1nghamn1cks 08-18-2005 11:34 PM

I love the lyrics in NQA... since probably kindergarden lol :) :blob1:

  Are you new? Do you remember alittle thing called "The Dance"?
Landslide was doing just fine befor the Dixie Chicks covered it! (I am not a dixie chic hater, I like the version on divas live where they sing it w/Stevie.)

Has enyone heard the sad slow version of no questions asked? Its supposed to be really beautiful, but I've never heard it.

LikeAWillow 08-19-2005 12:40 AM

NQA takes home the prize on this one. I just adore every aspect of this song so much, whereas Two Kinds of Love just has a few moments of brilliance for me. Well alright, there's only one moment and that's when Stevie sings "one for the way you love me" b/c it sounds really sexy live. But yea, that's brilliance in my book:thumbsup:

Dreammms 08-20-2005 11:50 AM

No Questions Asked of course!!!!!!!!!!

DavidMn 08-20-2005 12:09 PM

Two Kinds Of Love. I CANT STAND No Questions Asked. Just my opinion mind you

David 08-20-2005 12:11 PM

Two Kinds of Love is better by far. It's a great ballad with a fantastic chorus, & the way that the bridge melts back into the verse just melts your heart.

That other song is really just a piece of leftover. It's an amusical mess. It's like a heavy metal song without the overdrive & crunching guitars. I don't know whether it's flotsam or jetsam, but it's a mess.
