What did you have for breakfast?

What did you have for breakfast today?

I had:

2 white peaches
1 California plum
2 juice oranges
1 16-oz glass of Very Vanilla Silk brand soy milk

I'm fascinated by people's dietary practices.

DrummerDeanna 08-10-2005 12:28 PM

I had one bowl of Frosted Mini-Spooners with fat free Lactose Free milk :p

That's what I have every single day. I don't feel complete until I have my mini-spooners.

For those who don't know: Frosted Mini-Spooners is the Malt-O-Meal brand cereal in a bag - the mini-spooners are the rip-off of Frosted Mini-Wheats :p

Gypsy-Rhiannon 08-10-2005 12:29 PM

Cinnamon Grahams.... yum!

Pip

hayley 08-10-2005 12:32 PM

A bowl of Puffins w/ vanilla Silk and a really gross, mealy apple.

amber 08-10-2005 12:34 PM

Cocoa Spice tea.

strandinthewind 08-10-2005 12:35 PM

two thin slices of ham and two slices of Jarlsberg cheese for a total of 8 grams of fat and 2 carbs and about 250 calories :)

GypsySorcerer 08-10-2005 12:48 PM

WOOHOO!! I LOVE Puffins  I haven't had them in a while though - I haven't been able to find them in Rochester...:distress:

Lisa1769 08-10-2005 12:49 PM

A big cup of coffee flavored with french vanilla creamer. I usually dont eat breakfast, but if I do, it's a bowl of banana nut crunch cereal.

HomerMcvie 08-10-2005 12:51 PM

Turkey ham and Swiss, with lettuce, onion, jalepenos, and the hottest, juiciest tomato I could pick today, on oat bran bread.
Nothing beats homegrown tomatoes, straight off of the vine!
I guess this technically wasn't breakfast, but it's always my first meal of the day.

skcin 08-10-2005 12:52 PM

Raisin bran with a small amount of 1% milk.
Cup of vanilla Chai tea.

Nixxxed 08-10-2005 12:57 PM

A pork roast sammich with pepper jack cheese on a hamburger bun. And a Coke.

I woke up late. :D

Have you tried the peanut butter Puffins? My roommate made me buy them the other day at Trader Joe's, and I'm really iffy on them.

Violet 08-10-2005 01:07 PM

Strawberry poptarts and a Diet Mt. Dew :D Breakfast on the go!

Carol

SuzeQuze 08-10-2005 01:13 PM

An organic blueberry tart which are like Nutrigrain bars but way better. I usually have cereal with soy milk but Peapod did not have any and so did not deliver it yesterday.

I'm really not a fan of any peanut butter flavored cereals - or anything for that matter. I'm really picky about peanut butter - the only kind I'll eat is Jif -and even then it's only good for the first week or so after you open it :P

2 cold leftover (since Monday) slices of a large Italian Sausage pizza from Zito's (on the corner of Tustin & Meats...try it David...best pizza in Orange)

1 cup of coffee, laced with cinnamon vanilla Coffee-Mate (actually, vice versa...1 cup of CV Coffee-mate laced with coffee)

4-16oz glasses of water

1-800 mg Ibuprofen tablet
1-60 mg nifedipine pill
1-50 mg metatoprolol pill

then after I donated blood at our annual blood drive:

2 "boxes" of orange juice
2 pkgs of Famous Amos "Oreo-clone" cookies
1 pkg of Famous Amos Vanilla Creme cookies

And, now it is time for lunch.

Dreammms 08-10-2005 02:06 PM

just hot tea
i hate breakfast

GateandGarden 08-10-2005 02:09 PM

I treated myself to pop tarts and had grape juice with them.

What I don't understand is how y'all can drink that vanilla soy milk. I didn't think soy milk could taste any worse and then I noticed that they make the vanilla kind now.

I don't like it either, it's too sweet. But I love plain. It only takes a little bit to get used to it. I do really only like one brand, though.

There's a Zito's on the corner of Tustin & Meats? Wait a sec . . . (thinks for a moment, trying to visualize). . . on the corner of Tustin & Meats? Isn't that where the Zena's Lebanese is? & where the Trader Joe's is? I know that corner, but I don't remember a Zito's.

Now, back in the day when I ate pizza & sodium, I loved Zito's pizza! We used to go to the one in Old Town Orange. But I have since turned my back on pizza, primarily because of the sodium in pizza sauce. Oh, how I do miss pizza, though.

You're such a good guy to give blood! Blood banks always need more.

sara1998 08-10-2005 02:51 PM

Honey Nut Cheerios, OJ, and about 6 prescription pills!!!! I can't wait until I'm off all that stuff!

Oh, well, yeah, there's that . . . :o

Actually, as much as I love the taste of wine -- all wine -- I must be allergic to alcohol or something because I drink a little & get a racking headache. But when I do drink a little wine (always with a glass of water & an Aleve), I drink tawny port from Portugal.

That same thing started happening to my mom when she was about 25. Hasn't drank since. Her skin looks pretty good, too. :p

I think it's a type of food allergy. According to docs, people can develop food allergies just spontaneously at any point in life -- they don't necessarily have to be severe. Also, food allergies can disappear as mysteriously as they appear.

I'm waiting for the day my wine/alcohol allergy disappears & I can get back to my whiskey sours & old-fashioneds!!
