family death

Last night at around 8:00, my step grandfather's grandson died in a motorcyling accident. He was 32 years old, had recently been married and had a one-year-old son. I just spoke to mmy grandmother on the phone and the family is obviously extremely upset about their loss.

This has been one of those reality check moments for me. So, I ask all of you to hang onto each other and remember how fragile life is. Take care of yourselves.

:xoxo:

You and your family have my sympathies, Daniel. Take care. :)

I'm terribly sorry for your family's loss, Daniel. My thoughts and prayers are with you and them.

Gosh, 32 years old... that's my age. It's weird, because you tend to feel so old sometimes, but then when you hear of someone your age dying, you realize how many more decades of life that you just take for granted that you'll have ahead of you.
It's a damn shame that his baby boy will grow up without his daddy. :distress:

What a terrible loss. You've got my sympathy, we went through something similar not too long ago. It's hard, but just be strong! :) :xoxo:

Well, that makes everything else here seem so silly :o
Sorry for your family's loss. When young people die, that's just the hardest thing to deal with.

Thanks you guys! The reason I posted about Darren's death is because I spend most of my life talking about all the things I lack or want when in reality, I have it really good! Life can be really... well, lame  ...sometimes but when these things happen, it really makes you realize how good you really have it. Thought everyone else could use a reality check too! :wavey: :xoxo:

Your main problem was having only half a face.
I can't believe you were telling us how fragile life is, blah blah, and you won't even accept my hug. :distress: Well, fine, I haven't had my cootie vaccination anyway, so I wouldn't want to risk infection. Nyah.

Yes its true, life is very precious. This became extra clear when my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can't imagine losing her right now, she is only 51, she was 49 when diagnosed. I am glad she is cancer free now. If every day we think about what we are grateful for life seems very different.

I'm sorry for your family's loss, Daniel, especially the little child.
