are you in a relationship?

Another poll! Or should I say pole? Do it!

amber 07-27-2005 01:50 AM

I'm in two 1/4 relationships, which equals 1/2 relationship. They are also friendships, though, is why.

StevieNicksEO17 07-27-2005 02:06 AM

Happily single. woot.

Johnny Stew 07-27-2005 02:12 AM

With all due respect to the guys I've dated before (well, the ones who deserve respect, at least), I'm very happily in the best relationship I've ever had. And we're coming up on our six-month anniversary. :woohoo:

Ok, back to bed I go.

ontheEdgeof17 07-27-2005 02:14 AM

Happily single!

I don't need anyone right now. I'm in my own little world.

Your last choice is awesome.

StevieNicksEO17 07-27-2005 02:22 AM

I can't date anyone when Stevie or FM is on tour. They don't want constantly hear about it, and they don't want to take me to concerts. So, I try and warn people when it is concert season. I guess it's unbearable

estranged4life 07-27-2005 03:25 AM

Happily married...

and unhappily insomniacing.

xdreamsunwindx 07-27-2005 03:28 AM

I'm single and.. well.. a little bitter about it. But, I didn't choose the first option as it seemed a little too intense, and kinda Morrisey-like.

God. Someone unplug my computer, because I'm making no sense. WOO.

xxxmx 07-27-2005 06:23 AM

i'd probably have more of a life if someone took away my computer. i've got the ledge and MLB live. i'm sorry, i have not yet found love that can compete with stevie nicks and the red sox, let alone win...

GODDESS6 07-27-2005 06:26 AM

Same here, except I chose the first choice instead. I'm a hermit.

I should've chosen the 2nd one...whatev.

DrummerDeanna 07-27-2005 09:12 AM

I chose the first choice

CrystalVisions 07-27-2005 09:15 AM

Sometimes I'm bitter about being single, other times I prefer it.

Right. I'm actually the same way most of the time - I haven't met anyone worth giving up my single-dom....:D

still - I also get bitter about being so damn single sometimes.

KarmaContestant 07-27-2005 11:02 AM

The ones who walk away, try to love again

I am very single....I would be alone in my room, except that my computer is in the living room....and I have a roommate to keep me company (when his nose isn't in a book).

I ended my last relationship back in February 2002. Sometimes I forget why I did it, and yes, I'm lonely from time to time. Between 18 & 28, I had three long term relationships, each lasted about three years - give or take a few months here and there. By the age of 28, I had decided that I had had enough of it all. I dumped my guy, gracefully and compassionately, and have been on my own ever since. I'll lie and say it's nice to be single....though I sometimes wish I weren't so alone. I will admit to having small moments of sadness when I see other couples who are obviously happy....cause I miss that... But, I just remind myself that it was I who wanted to be alone, I who needed to grow into myself, and I who felt like I needed to discover what was 'out there' and what my place in the world is - and what I wanted from it. After three years....nothing has changed really....except that I'm stronger emotionally, and I work more.

Sometimes, I hear Stevie sing that lyric from Doing The Best That I Can....and I flinch a little, 'cause it's me...."she thought she was out there, but nobody saw...."

I'm not looking for a partner...I'm not dating anyone....I only want to do the 'relationship thing' once more....so it better be right....but when he finds me, I'll know.

dissention 07-27-2005 11:10 AM

I'm partly single and partly in a relationship. It's nothing serious, though, so I don't know what I'd call it. F*ckbuddy is too crude a word for me to use this morning, but give me a few hours and that's probably what I'd call it.

WildInTheWind 07-27-2005 11:15 AM

I'm in the best relationship I've ever been in. We looked at engagment rings last week so it probably won't be long till we get married :D It's just a matter of him saving up money now!

Yup - that just about sums up my life, too. I've had my chances... but something has always stopped me from taking the proverbial plunge. I'm not one to settle, and I enjoy my own company, so I'm not completely miserable. I also have great friends, so I'm not at all a loner. Bitter, every so often, for sure, though! I sometimes look at couples and go, okay, if they found someone, what's wrong with meeeeee? My first true love just set the bar too damned high. *sigh*

Morrissey... *swoon*

Neal 07-27-2005 12:46 PM

I am recently single (again!). And as much as I'd like to not be, I know if I were to pursue something with someone at this point it would just be to distract myself and avoid dealing with sh*t in my own life that needs to be dealt with before I drag someone else down...

But I still chose the second option :woohoo: .

WELSH WITCH 07-27-2005 12:53 PM

Like Deanna I haven't found anyone worth giving up my single-dom for and I don't really mind.
I'm a happy single as they call it.

wondergirl9847 07-27-2005 12:54 PM

Happily single

I've never been in a relationship (that thing from high school doesn't count  ). I like being single, but it would be nice to go out every once in a while with a great guy. :)

estranged4life 07-27-2005 12:55 PM

Probably my favorite moment in South Park history.

wondergirl9847 07-27-2005 02:23 PM

Krista..

That ep was on like last week...I HAD to watch it for like the 3rd or 4th time. It's hysterical, one of my faves.

When his mom is all "No, he's my perfect little angel." and Cartman goes "Mam, we're trying to get stuff, sex and drugs." and she goes "Oh, right, sex and drugs." BWAH!!!

I'd love to see it again...

It was even funnier because I used to watch Maury Perv-ich and I just pictured them when Cartman was doing his thang. Funny stuff. :]

wondergirl9847 07-27-2005 02:34 PM

Here are clips...

If you go here, you can download audio/video clips from SP. That ep is on there somewhere.

South Park clips

Hitting the one-month mark tomorrow!

That came after nearly five months of sadness and bitterness at an asshole who up and wanted to end things with me out of the blue.

Needless to say, I'm very, very happy :-)
