I'm getting Kitties!

Today ( I hope) I am picking up two kittens.

One is a siamese and the other is a brown and black tabby cat. I am so excited I can't stand it!

I haven't had a kitty since my BooBoo died in January after 20 years of life.

tynan88 07-23-2005 12:06 PM

20 YEARS! OMG that is a long time...I love my cat Angelica...we named her because Rugrats was on TV at the time.

Good luck with your new cats, I am glad we have cats because I find they are less demanding than dogs.

GardenStateGirlie 07-23-2005 12:12 PM

Damn...i'd forgotten how long you'd had your other cat for. He lived a really long life  All the same, i'm sure you miss him. Congrats on the new cats!

GateandGarden 07-23-2005 12:22 PM

Congratulations Janet! I would be so excited I wouldn't be able to contain myself! :blob2:

darklinensuit 07-23-2005 12:23 PM

Congratulations on the additions.
Post the pics and we'll name them for you. ;)

Aww that is so exciting Janet! My family used to foster kittens from the Animal Rescue Legue, but you get so attached to them that it hurts to much to see them go :distress: I can't wait to see some pictures of the new additions to your home!

Livia 07-23-2005 01:41 PM

Kiiiiiiittiiiiiiieeees! Congrats! Post pics when you get a chance!

seeker007nmss 07-23-2005 01:43 PM

We want pictures! we want pictures!

irishgrl 07-23-2005 01:49 PM

Congrats on the kitties, and because they will have each other to play with, they wont be lonely when you're gone...good call! are they male? female? one of each? Pix pleez...

estranged4life 07-23-2005 01:56 PM

Congrats...

on yer new kitties.

My calico Patches ("The Mothership") gave birth to 3 kittens this week (Which have the following names: "Harlen", "Quilt" & "Bone") and she is now taking care of the 2 orphaned kittens that I have been bottle-feeding for the past couple weeks ("Missy" & "Rufus")...So our house is wall-to-wall full of kittens (Not including Patches mate "Jr." and their 3 kittens from her first litter "Pip", "Token" & "Run Nugget".)

Oh that is so adorable! There is absolutely nothing cuter than a new born kitten  * I like the nickname "The Mothership" btw lol!*

I love kitties. We have three. I lost my cat Pearl last year, she was 15. We got another kitten last September, though. I named her Stevie, because I'm a dork. She was an orphan, and we took her in. She was a tiny little thing, but now? She's HUGE. I love her. <3

Post pictures of your new fuzzballs!

gldstwmn 07-23-2005 05:26 PM

Congratulations! :woohoo:

macfanken 07-23-2005 07:30 PM

Can't wait to see the pictures!! Ever since my Luna died, I get a little pang in my heart when I hear about other people's cats. :distress:

golden braid 07-23-2005 09:29 PM

That's so exciting! I can't wait to see the pictures. I love Siamese colored kitties. :)

Chilly Willy 07-24-2005 08:34 AM

Congrats, and yes, pictures please.

I've got 2, and they're both super affectionate - Snowball, the playful, active one is currently draped around my neck (not so comfortable in the hot weather, but what are you gonna do?). The aptly named Blob Cat is curled up on my feet because she's too lazy to climb into my lap.

I've got fur in my keyboard.

Lisa1769 07-24-2005 09:04 AM

Congrats on the kitties!!

Mine is driving me crazy, but in a good way I suppose. :p
She peed in my favorite plant and killed it. She digs the potting soil out of my plants. But I still love my kitty, she make me laugh!!

Miss Vicky 07-24-2005 09:53 AM

congrats on the new babies!

I have two myself. One I adopted six or seven years ago from a vet's office after he'd been hit by a couple of cars (the staff there named him Dunlop after the tire company and I kept the name). The other was dumped on me by a friend after I told her I didn't want any more cats. We named him Tiny Tim because he looks a lot like another cat that I still had at the time named Timmy. He's totally psychotic and paranoid but is finally starting to calm down and become more trusting and affectionate (it's only taken four years so far, maybe I'll have a normal cat by the time he's 15 or so). He was nicknamed "Jaws" for quite some time. Now his nickname is "Bad Kitty."

seeker007nmss 07-24-2005 03:43 PM

Still no pictures? awww..............

Janet 07-28-2005 05:20 PM

I will get pictures soon.

I have had them home since Saturday. One is a snowshoe siamese and the other is a very fluffy tabby cat.

The girl is Sally and the boy is Harry:) They are so adorable, they play non stop.

Harry loves to keep me up all night and knead on my neck and face. I have actually had to lock him out of my room for the last couple hours of my sleep so I can get some. I feel like I just gave birth! No sleep.

But I LOVE them and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. THEY ARE AMAZING kitties:)

Janet, I am so happy for you. :D I welled up a little reading this, hehe. Oh how I love kitties let me count the ways.

Mufy's been pretty good lately. He was up north at Gramma's with me over the weekend. But he was skulking toward her dog as though he were his prey when we tried to introduce them. I scooped him up before he attacked and then the dog came after him while he was in my arms. I got pretty scratched up. He also stalked, killed, and ate a flying ant! Good kitty. Damn I am smiley happy today.

My kitty was a great fly catcher, a fly wouldn't last 5 minutes in my house! I felt awful for her the time she caught a bee instead of a fly! She had a swollen lip for a while after that.

seeker007nmss 07-29-2005 12:01 AM

Pictures?

Oh please, show some pictures. Then I'll have to control myself not to get a third one in this house ;)

(that's the only pic I have of them here at work) (Hm, work? shouldn't I be doing something?)

Yes, bugs do not last here. He loves hunting them. Your poor baby, I hope Mufy never "gets" a bee!

Wow, she does look like yours! The same brownish undertone and that thick fluffly coat, huh. Neelix sheds so much hair, it's almost like I've an extra carpet in here, ugh.

yes, they're 4 and 5 years old now. The eldest (that's the grey striped one) still behaves like a puppie dog a lot of the time :D
But Miss Patsy in the back there, she's a real laaayyyydyyy;)

WildInTheWind 07-29-2005 04:37 PM

Congratualtions on the kittens janet! Can't wait to see some pictures of them. Here is mine....we got him a couple of months ago. My daughter named him Gypsy despite the fact that, well, he's a guy. I think I have tainted that child!
