seeker007nmss 07-22-2005 12:11 PM

We are in our 2nd week of over 110. Hit 121 the other day, Death Valley has been in the 130's. Ah...Vegas in summer! :wavey:

DrummerDeanna 07-22-2005 12:12 PM

Well it's been in the 90s and way humid here - until Tuesday -the humidity broke -and it was lovely.

Today it's 80-something and humid - but it doesn't feel as hot.

I'm glad I'm not in New Mexico though - where it's hotter than Satan's Crotch!

GardenStateGirlie 07-22-2005 12:16 PM

Actually it's somewhere IN Southern New Mexico

face of glass 07-22-2005 12:21 PM

Around 75-80 in this part of Finland. But tomorrow it will be colder because I'm going to live by the sea for a week. :D

GODDESS6 07-22-2005 12:27 PM

101 HERE IN GOOD OLE OMAHA   ~

estranged4life 07-22-2005 12:40 PM

It was...

107 yesterday with 30% humidity, Should be even warmer today with even more humidity (Thus far it is 38%).

My sister lives not far from Death Valley, And she would take their arid climate over the typical Oklahoma summer climate anyday of the week...Hell, I'll take desert climate over humidity anyday of the week.

Just think, August is yet to come which is when the temps run 100+ everyday...Making this the second warmest area in the continental US just behind Death Valley

sparky 07-22-2005 12:54 PM

It has been in the low 100's here in LA. Pretty miserable driving around, but great at home. I just don't want to leave the pool.

wondergirl9847 07-22-2005 01:26 PM

Today in Fort Worth, Texas

The high is supposed to be 98 degrees, but with a heat index of like 104-105 degrees.

Thank God for air conditioning and ice water.

Everybody, stay cool.

Denver just had two records set for temperature....yesterday was 104, and Wednesday was 105. August is going to be miserable............

Janet 07-22-2005 01:46 PM

God, Death Valley. When they go to bed it's 95, that is their low!!!! I just looked it up. It's horrible. I WILL NOT COMPLAIN AGAIN!

catinthedark 07-22-2005 01:52 PM

38 degrees Celcius with humidity today in Toronto... that's 100.4 Fahrenheit! For about the 18th day in a row now.

Putting to rest, forever I hope, the MYTH that Canada is always cold!!

macfanken 07-22-2005 01:53 PM

It's currently 62 degrees here and I'm not complaining! It was 80 yesterday and supposed to be in the low 80s again this weekend.

gldstwmn 07-22-2005 02:22 PM

My car says 101.

darklinensuit 07-22-2005 02:54 PM

Summer here has been mild this year. High today is 94 I think, & it was in the 80s the day Stevie played.

golddustwoman77 07-22-2005 03:39 PM

It's hotter than three feet up a bull's ass here!!!!!!! High 90s for several days now with high humidity.

sara1998 07-22-2005 03:44 PM

Yesterday, I swear, was the hottest I've ever seen it here. It was 97 and our humidity stays around 70/80%. So, it was miserable yesterday. We had a hellacious storm last night, and right now it's only 83 with 64% humidity. Not a bad day at all! It's going to be bad again Sunday and Monday around here.

amber 07-22-2005 03:48 PM

IT'S 71 DEGREES HERE RIGHT NOW. YEAH, 71, YOU HEARD ME.  Tomorrow it's supposed to be up to 78, though! :woohoo:

darklinensuit 07-22-2005 03:49 PM

Am I the only one who really likes hot weather? (With air conditioning, of course.)

No, if there is air conditioning and pending how humid it is, it's fine. I'd prefer a dry heat over humidity anyday I think.

Speaking of heat -- I left work an hour and a half early (my final day is August 13th so basically, i'm leaving early if I want to  ) and when I walked outside, there were dead worms on the sidewalk. I have no idea where they came from but they were fried to a crisp. Stupid me wanted to go into the city tonight. Let's hope I don't end up like a dead worm on the sidewalk because usually the city is at least 5 degrees warmer than the burbs.

I love hot weather, that's why I am bitching right now. :D

hayley 07-22-2005 04:02 PM

High 80s and humid today... what's going to suck here in Chicago is Lollapalooza tomorrow. High for Sunday is supposed to be 100, with heat indexes of 110-115. I am so not regretting giving away my tickets!!!

Gypsy-Rhiannon 07-22-2005 04:09 PM

I love hot weather... and I wish it were hotter over here!

I've lived in Las Vegas my whole life and have gotten to really hate hot weather. I used to stay for months at a time in England with my Grandma and I loved it. I'm one of those odd people that likes the rain though.

My parents just got back from Vegas. 120 degrees? :(
My skin doesn't handle dryness well, so I don't mind humidity.
