FM/Stevie purses made out of records
Just found this website. I saw the Belladonna purse at a gas station gift shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico back in June. They wanted $75 and I almost bought it because I thought it was super rare. Yeah, here they are for $48.

You saw one in Albuquerque  !?!
Those are cool!!! I don't think I'd spend that much money on them, but they're cool nonetheless. |
Ooo I really like the Bella Donna one!
What's really weird it that I was about to attempt to make my own Stevie bag, but I might just get one of these instead. Thanks Christy :) |
Are they sealed and protected? Cardboard products don't do well in wet situations.
Thanks for the link! They are cool to look at. :wavey: |
Sure
Deanna....my mom and I were on our way to the Route 66 Casino there and the purse was in the gas station right next door. I was like "OMG! Is this rare?! Should I get it?" and my mom was like "It's 75 bucks, Christy, I don't think you need it."
Glad I checked the net to see what they were going for. Sharon, were you going to make one out of records? I'd like to have something similar, but I'd have to shop around. Yet, ANOTHER place and they have Bare Trees and MTM. http://www.carryatunepurses.com/store.cfm |

Oh Jesus No!
As a very overly serious and massively anal record collector this is like extreme blasphemy to me     . *gasp* *THUD* *croak* :sorry:

Thanks guys for the compliments!
I use mine for school, so of course I get comments from teachers and from students. My friends love giving me ****. Especially when I have on a Mac shirt and my purse and I normally wear my moon pendant. Ahhh, they get a big kick out of how obsessed I am. I got the Rolling Stone bag off eBay. Ahhh, the stuff that you can find there. |
**drools** OMG - AWESOME purses, Jessica!!!
I didn't have cool FM stuff when I was in HS - instead I just doodled a lot - and one teacher in particular used to make fun of me for loving FM and Paul McCartney - then I saw that same teacher at a SYW show in El Paso  Anyway, back to the topic at hand - I want a Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks purse!! |
I've seen the patchwork purses on Ebay. There's one of those that I want too! I already collect vintage purses and have way too many "modern" ones as it is now but it is my other great collecting weakness--other than FM & Stevie stuff, but hey, if I can combine my two great loves at the same time? Awesome!

It's one thing to collect authentic material--things that are officially licensed by the group. It's another thing to buy material that is obviously made privately (and possibly illegally) to capatalize on the famous for profit.
I can't imagine Fleetwood Mac management allowing license of their image to make purses! Still, to each his/her own, expecially if you enjoy them. Do you actually use them as an accessory when you go out? Anyone can take an existing image and slapped it on to a product to pander to a particular audience. The purses seem rather tasteless to me. I don't like being a walking logo...and I stopped wearing concert t-shirts 20 years ago...Yet I still buy them! (the official ones, that is) ;) |
There's a Stevie patchwork bag on eBay at the moment
