Back from Dallas *cue Dallas theme*

Okay folks, I'm back! My first solo Stevie show was awesome! I met Travis (MirrorInTheSky), Erica (NicksIllume) and Jessica (Nightbirdjel...saw her at the Dallas 2004 FM show). Hello to all ya'll!! I heard Miss Livia was there too, but I didn't get to see you! :( I'm sorry for any Ledgies I didn't get to meet, maybe next time!

I hope I got some great pics to share. Gimme a little time, because I'm going to write this review, then resize my good pics. I'm not good at reviews, because my memory bites. :sorry: I bought Stevie some flowers today and got to give them to her! See Edge review part.

Enchanted - I'm sorry, but this song is not a fave of mine, but she sounded great on it.

SDMHA - Waddy Watchel! It was so cool to see him in the flesh for the first time ever! Awesome!!

OTR/Dreams - I like OTR a lot and she sounded terrific. Dreams is....Dreams. LOL

Rhiannon - Fantastic, lots of hand gestures...dang, I need to look at my photos to remember stuff.

Sorcerer - AWESOME!! I was so stoked to be able to hear this live, it's one of my fave Stevie songs.

Circle Dance - What a gorgeous song and she sounded fantastic. I hope someone bootlegged this show...but Dallas shows seem to hardly ever get taped.

GDW - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! My fave FM song she does live these days. AWESOME...and it is so weird to hear it without FM. The pose with Waddy at the end is way cool.

Stand Back - For some reason, I feel that the energy of the song is better with FM (*ducks*), but it was still awesome. Taku is awesome!! I did miss Lindsey's guitarbation, I must say. ;)

Landslide - Um...I think she dedicated this (or was it something else? Someone help!!) to the pilot from the FM tour? Am I at all right on that? Gah, my memory sucks and I just saw this damn show!! LOL

Edge of 17 - OMfrickinG!! When I saw Travis and Erica go up, I jumped over Travis' seat and made my way to the stage. I stood right in between the both of them. LOL Thanks ya'll! I had my flowers ready to go and my mom came and stood behind me with the camera. Edge...the wail....holy crap! It went on for 10 hours! LOL Fantastic. Then, the walk. She came to us and I reached my hand up, she grabbed it and I said "Thank you, Stevie!" and handed her the flowers....she took the flowers and then looked RIGHT INTO MY EYES and said "Thank you!" That was way rad!

Rock and Roll - Love the hat with the feathers, love the pants, love the shoes. She rocked and rolled....even though I'm not a Zep fan, that song kicks and she did a great job.

BATB - Magnificent. I don't care for this song on TWH, but dang, it's spectacular live....and she looked stunning with her hair swept up.

The hand gestures were nuts! She likes to punch now. LOL Also, the hands on head thing and the arm in front of face (a'la the SYW tour) thing. I don't recall a Stand Back kick...I think that era is over. Although, didn't she do one not long ago?

Some gal threw a purple boa on stage and Stevie picked it up and put it on her mic stand. It's in some of my pictures. Also, some dude walked up to the stage during one of the early songs and threw a bouquet of flowers, someone from the crew took them backstage. I gave her some orange-ish/red-ish lillies. I should have taken a picture of them, but I didn't. Sorry! I also put a lil note in the flowers for Stevie.

ETA: Woops, I forgot about HAEWAFY...didn't she dedicate this to us? I think so. Poets...priests of nothing....legends....very cool. :)

Hosh*t...FFG!!! I can't remember crap right now!! This song kicks all KINDS of a$$!! It's also one of my faves and I'm glad she did this one!!

NicksIllume 07-18-2005 12:19 AM

Hey! I'm still buzzing from Edge of Seventeen along with Rock and Roll. I loved getting to finally meet you.

wondergirl9847 07-18-2005 12:21 AM

Hey Erica!

It was cool meeting you too! We had a blast, didn't we?! Is your head out of the clouds, yet? ;)

what happened to "Fall From Grace"??

wondergirl9847 07-18-2005 12:27 AM

Liquid..

I forgot about that one, so it's been added at the end. Sorry!! I had to cheat with the setlist because I have baaaaaad CRS (can't remember sh*t) syndrome. She did Fall From Grace, no worries!!

Fall From Grace was better received in Dallas than Houston. No one is Houston really stood for it. She rocked it hard.

estranged4life 07-18-2005 12:29 AM

Glad ya had fun...

at the show, Wished I could've made it (Sounded like what I had expected), But considering how ill I am at this minute I guess I did side towards the caution side of life.

Back to lurk mode...

Sesly. That's the exact way I felt when I saw LB for the first time up close in Birmingham, England...aaaand, in Houston, when he took the book I made him. :) I'm happy all three of us got our butts up there and touched her.

BTW, my pics are being put on a disc right now (easier to resize that way) and my mom got a (blurry) pic of you (I think LOL), me and Travis with Stevie in front of us. LOL All you can see is my head, someone's arm, Travis with his OMG face and Stevie. LMAO!!

I haven't looked at the pics I took with the phone. Travis was mesmerized by the birds. I'm glad I squeezed you in there. You could have been trampled.

wondergirl9847 07-18-2005 12:37 AM

Brian...

I wish you were better and could have come. :( Next time, dude!!

It's weird because that pit was not as full as I'd imagine it would have been. There were hardly any people behind me and my mom. There was a GIANT man standing by my mom and he pushed her when she took that photo of Stevie in front of us...hence the blurry shot. A-hole. LOL Ah well....it was too much fun!

Trampled! LOL I know, I'm a midget, but got right up there thanks to my jumping the chair capabilities. ;)

My friend did not shut up about how awesome Waddy was. We went out after the show & by the end of the night everybody (who had not been to the show) knew who Waddy is.

Glad you had a great time!
It's wonderful to see that Stevie is now your all-time favorite Mac member! ;) :wavey:

I'm angry that there were empty seats up front in Dallas. I didn't check TM on Fri. or Sat., but it had nothing good for weeks and weeks.

MirrorInTheSky 07-18-2005 02:47 AM

*whew* Ok, sorry to chime in so late, but I had to go out to the bars after the show!!! :blob1:

First things first....I touched her for the second time tonight!!! (First was last night in Houston.) Tonight she grabbed both of my hands and I kept shouting to her how gorgeous she was. She kept beaming and saying thank you. She held onto my hand for what seemed like an eternity while she shook hands with her other hand. The Birds of Rhiannon were right in my face and were GLORIOUS! I was also distracted by her gorgeous red nails.....I was only brought back to reality by Erica (NicksIllume) next to me because she was having her own moment of Stevie Zen.....it was very, very magical.

It was great meeting Chistie and Erica....we all had such a mesmerizing time up there at the front, and it was awesome for three Ledgies to be up there to meet her at the same time!! Christie, I'm glad that you were able to reach over my shoulder!!!!

She gave a great review...I'll add my two cents, though. The show overall was great....I only sat down for the few ballads...all were fantastic. I think she really served it up for Fall From Grace, though. I think that was one of the highlights...I jumped off of my arse as soon as I heard the intro, and was a dancing fool all the way through it. HAEWAFY was phenomenal...yes, she dedicated it to the entire audience, but she really knows how to deliver it. As for Circle Dance....if it had been on TISL, she would have garnered her a Gammy. It's such a beautiful and heartfelt song, and with her vocals, it just sends chills down your spine! For every other song, I've seen her do it better or at least the same in previous shows. Not to say it was bad, just nothing I haven't ever seen before. The real kicker, both nights, has been the last two songs. She just has too much for Rock and Roll...and she looks so damned hot in those pants!!! And the for B&B...that fur and her hair in a bun....stunning....and she delivers it with such passion. The entire price of my ticket was worth those two songs....and seeing them from the edge of the stage was priceless!!

I'm still floating on cloud nine and trying to recount the entire evening in my head. It was such a great time both last night and tonight....if you don't have tickets, you MUST purchase them this instant. I've met so many Ledgies this weekend....you have all been such an asset to my Stevie experience, and I hope to meet more soon. If think of more randomness, I'll post as soon as I can. Hasta!!!

MirrorInTheSky 07-18-2005 02:50 AM

Oh yeah.....I have some crappy pics from my crappy phone....but I'll try to post when I get a chance...

darklinensuit 07-18-2005 02:53 AM

My chances for running for office were dessicated years ago by OTHER incriminating photos.... (which can be purchased with a money order for $29.95 or three easy installments of $14.95 each.)

Ooh!

I just remembered something! She was introducing Waddy and said "Waddy Watchel, the love of my life." then....she kinda went "Musical director....ah ah ah, musical director." or something to that effect, like perhaps, a slip of the tongue and she tried to cover. It was cute, no matter what it meant.

LOL.....it was as if she'd been reading the Ledge (though I'm sure she hasn't), and was like "MUSICAL DIRECTOR....not my horizontal mambo partner you sickos". It was hilARIous. :D
