Tourbook Scans!!!

My scannner wasn't really working, so I took pictures with my digital camera. This at least gives you an idea of what your missing out on (which is not much!)

http://photobucket.com/albums/b2/dia...?action=logout

It's in opposite order, so the front cover is the last photo on there. And the first photo on the list is the back coever, you know what I mean?

littlecricket2 07-15-2005 02:32 PM

Oooh, thank you for the scans! This is the first glimpse I've had of one! By the way, how much do they cost?

Twenty Dollars. It seems like a lot considering it only like 12 pages! But with such a short tour, they had to get something out fast I guess...

sodascouts 07-15-2005 02:36 PM

These look great - except I can't believe Stevie is using that SYW spin pic again. It's used so frequently you'd think it was the best pic she'd ever taken.

GardenStateGirlie 07-15-2005 02:37 PM

Is it just me or is this the most ass tourbook ever? I heard there's a photo of Stevie and she's in the crease of the tourbook with a staple through her head  I'll own one for posterity but other than that, i'm not too impressed.

Glittermoondust 07-15-2005 02:44 PM

Thanks for posting!! I have to agree though--that is all of the "good" concert pix they could find?? There had to be more than that!!

Mokona 07-15-2005 02:45 PM

Aw, I'd still like one. The photos are nice. How the heck am I going to get one? None on eBay have even cropped up! Stevie programs in general are sort of scarce on there. :(

Anyone willing to get me one? I'd PayPal the money for the book and shipping, handling and whatever else.

wondergirl9847 07-15-2005 02:46 PM

I believe I'll pass

Its got a couple of cute pics in it, but what is this...the Backup Singers/Backup Band Gold Dust show?

Pass. I want a keychain, are they selling any?

Glittermoondust 07-15-2005 02:47 PM

I guess I have to say I am pretty pleased with that pants photo though--that is awesome!! As well as the front cover..... :blob2:

Christy, they were -- though I can't recall what they look like.

The keychains just have a little bag of "gold dust" on them........ nothing great in my opinion

Glittermoondust 07-15-2005 02:53 PM

OH--and just one more complaint--and then I will stop--really!! LOL!! No BATB photos in the tourbook????? What's up with that??????? Of course I will get one though  If it has even one nice photo in it I have to have it :o

Chris Nicks is the one that needs a staple through the head.

I'll own one too, but damn it's terrible.

Dark Angel 07-15-2005 03:02 PM

Thanks for posting those! :)

Is it me, or do the tourbooks just keep getting worse as the years go by?

wondergirl9847 07-15-2005 03:09 PM

Lol

Wow, who does her merchandising again? Lame.

I collect keychains, but I'll have to wait to see it, I guess.

Thanks anyway, Diamondsnake. And thanks for the photos you took too!

Even though that so much more can be added, I still like it and I would get it!!

ontheEdgeof17 07-15-2005 03:12 PM

DOWNGRADE!

I'm not impressed. Do we NEED another twirl shot?

Of course. But not that one again.

bikerchic 07-15-2005 03:19 PM

Stevie and FM are the only tour books I have, so I wouldn't know a good tour book from a bad one. What tour books of other bands do you guy's have that you could say are spectacular and are how a tour book should be done? Just curious.

Johnny Stew 07-15-2005 03:19 PM

I still think Stevie could stand up on that stage, point out into the audience at ANY gay man there, and find someone who'd be willing to put together a stunning tourbook for her free of charge.

But I have to give the gal credit for having a lot of heart, and wanting to give her brother some work. Just too bad we're the ones who "suffer" for it!

(By the way, on the page dedicated to Sulamith Wulfing... is anyone else as bugged as I am about that "trademark" glitch? The smiling pic of Stevie on the opposite page is GORGEOUS though.)

Thanks for sharing these, Christopher!

SapphireSister 07-15-2005 03:21 PM

Thanks for the pics. The tour book looks medicore at best. I'm splurging for the infamous rainbow shirt (if they still have it) instead. I tend to buy tourbooks, look at them once, put them away and never look again.

I'm applying for the "Massage Therapist" position for the next tour.

I love how they had to label "Stevie Nicks" under her picture because if they hadn't no one would have had any idea who that blond singing on stage is.

*Chris did you get my CD?

All I know is that the SYW tourbook is a lot better with 3 times as many pages, more pictures and some actual writting.

Having a heart, my ass. She's been pulling a Britney Spears for years....Britney is paying for all of Kevin's expenses and Stevie is doing the same for her brother. The end result is crappy art. I'm sorry, but that's what I think.

I agree. Chris Nicks is the definition of a freeloader.

I'm not even sure that I like that much more -- it certainly looks more put together than this. My biggest peeve with the SYW tourbook is it contains some of the same pictures over and over again. Plus, no one bothered to check the tourbook for errors -- grammar mistakes abound.

Hey Now! Don't forget his memorable contributions to The Nightmare. ;)

trackaghost 07-15-2005 03:36 PM

Thanks for doing that Christopher, it is much appreciated!
You are a cool dude.

I'm not overly impressed with the book. But I still want one!

What's up with this photo--Stevie is kind of cut in half?? It just doesn't look right to me.........and she isn't pictured like that with any of the others???

I think we're talking about the same thing though. Giving a loved one a "legitimate" job, so that they're getting paid for doing something... even if they're not really doing much of anything, or aren't very good at what it is they're supposed to be doing.
I'm not excusing it or defending it, I'm just saying it's done out of love (or pity  ).

They have another typesetting glitch on the "La Belle et la Bête" page, and on the inside back cover, they credit "John Kenny" for photographs.
Typos usually bother me more than lame layouts and photos.

I still can't believe they're trying to push those ass shirts from Vegas. You couldn't pay me to take one :distress:

I did notice this and it drives me nuts, being an English major.

Ehh, the tourbook is crappy...so many possibilities yet again lost.

I think we need to start a petition to Stevie's management, demanding that they allow some of us to design Stevie's next tourbook. We can even throw in the promise of doing it free-of-charge.

Come on, Stevie... it'll be fabulous. ;)

Serrart 07-15-2005 03:55 PM

I'm not very impressed by it either, even if I love the cover and the photo with Stevie in the darkness looking at Waddy.

I bought one of those ass shirts, but more for a joke than anything. Just like Curtis' favorite Lucky Charms shirt that I plan on getting.
