Out of all of stevies songs she has recorded BUT she didnt write ( this does not count covers!) what is ur favorite?

I don't care for them either. They rarely seem to fit in thematically and quality-wise with the rest of the material (Too Far From Texas, Every Day, Docklands, Talk To Me, etc.).

I also love SIAB! I love that it was written specifically for, and about, Stevie. Don't know if it's my fave, I have to ponder on that one...

Yay! three members! It's not my fave, either, but I like it. It seems so simple and true, to me. :p And great for Stevie, as well. I'm kind of sorry she herself doesn't like it, if that's true. And the video is great, what with all those clips. mmmm, clips.

Another fan here of SIAB! I like some Bon Jovi so that probably has something to do with it. I also like some Poison but I've never been able to really get into Love's a Hard Game to Play.

I think this line is perfect for Stevie! She's always all "we met at a party and our eyes locked across a crowded room... it was magic and we just knew." It's such a sweet, spare song. Still... I love Seven Wonders from my youth, so while not the better song, it's my favorite. That's my vote.

I love it. Great lyrics, sparse instrumentation (compared to some of the dense sludge on TISL), and a great vocal from Stevie. Sounds like she smoked a pack of cigs beforehand, but it suits the song.

Sheryl's version, though, wow. What a knockout. :nod:

I've never heard Sheryl's. But you think those are great lyrics? surpised, me. I mean, I don't think they're that bad, but...
I figured a lot of what you liked might be the sparse instrumentation, though. :nod:

I like it okay, but, strangely, it's a bit sappy for me. Or maybe I just don't love the note choice. I dunno. It's pretty good, though. :nod: I like it okay. TISL is not my favorite album, anyway, so it's hard to judge.

Okay everybody hold it!!! I had no idea Tom Petty wrote "I Will Run To You" so that song gets my vote.
