Just spotted Leo Dicaprio

who is filming a movie here. Also Martin Scorcese. They just took a lunch break but I actually saw him! Most of movie making is standing around and waiting. So I've seen the set a lot with nothing happening but they were filming today and I saw him!

Southie, near the Children's Museum on my office's campus. There is alot of nothing going on and then boom, there they were. Still, they were like 200 feet away, but there nevertheless! They're filming a scene with a van in the alley and there is a dummy on the ground.

He looked like everyone else, jeans and some dark t-shirt, except he's really tall so u can't miss him. He was kind of far away too but I could see him enough. Hehe.

My buddy Ben claimed to have seen Damon and DiCaprio last week, but I think he was blowing smoke up my arse.

I can't wait until Affleck invades us next month to film his new flick...good gawd. Maybe I'll get a good Jennifer Garner sighting out of it, though.

Did you hear they asked Matt about what he thought of their marriage? My Mom saw him on the news, he was jogging and reporters asked him what he thought and he said, "Slow news day, huh?" and continued jogging.

Where did he say he saw them? We went to Sonsi Sat but no dice, although my cop was there, so that was cool.

He said he saw them just walking down the street over on Beacon Hill when he was on his lunch break, which I didn't buy because the attention they would draw would be ridiculous. They ain't THAT stupid. Scorsese, yeah, but not those two, especially together.

I don't care, I just want to see Jennifer Garner next month (or is it in September? I forget which.). She'll probably be big as a house, though.

What is with all this Leo hatin'? :distress: Too bad he wasn't buff in Titanic, he would have been a better match for Kate physically. Now in Gangs...nice.

Hmmm...I am going to be in Boston this Thursday...maybe I'll get to see them...it would be a BLAST to have a drink with Scorsese...

I just don't like him lol. I really liked Kate Winslet from Titanic. Even though its a sappy movie I enjoyed it a lot.

estranged4life 07-11-2005 12:49 PM

Interesting...

how Ledgies have spotted "movie entertainers"...Kinda funny but years ago in Tulsa there was a movie that was shot that featured Tom "Scientolo-tard" Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Emilio Estevez, etc. ("The Outsiders" based on the book by Tulsan S.E. Hinton). I remember alotta my school friends went to the set and met some of these then unknown actors and received plenty of autographs...Betcha those autographs would fetch a bunch of $$$$ on eBay now.

Hell, As soon as I see that piece of crap movie re-make "The Longest Yard" I will be able to say I have seen a movie extra who looks like an older sibling of mine (Because it is...Older sis Lesa has been in several movies playing characters in the "Background" of many a scene.)

I did too, I liked them both in it. That movie had a weird pull for me, when I saw the poster I wanted to see the film opening night, which I don't usually do, I'm not usually excited enough about a movie to fight the crowds!

Oh, yeah, you should definitely see it. If not for your sister - Do it for Johnny, Brian. Do it for Johnny!

I love The Outsiders :o

I was pretty young when this came out and I remember going to see it several times in theaters. Well maybe 2 or 3 just because my relatives wanted someone to go with. I really thought it was a great movie. I thought there could have been more of a build up when the iceberg hit but nevertheless it was great. Right when it started to sink I knew this was my movie. O ya and the tit shot.

Yep, Must do it for Johnny, Cant let the "Socs" get the best of me, Since I am a "Greaser"

I used to like the movie the Outsiders, Mainly just to pinpoint certain scenes in/around Tulsa where they were shot (ie-"The Pines", The Admiral Twin Drive-In & the Boston Methodist Avenue Church)

I have it on VHS. That was sexy, and the scene in the carriage which left most to the imagination.

hayley 07-11-2005 01:02 PM

I say "Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold." at least once a week.

I was at a Cubs game a week or so ago and saw Jennifer Aniston & Vince Vaughn filming that movie they're doing.

Best celebrity sighting here in Chicago wasn't mine, it was my best friend's. She was at McCormick & Schmick's when they were filming some of Ocean's 12, I think, and walked right past Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, & George Clooney having drinks at the bar. I mean. OMG.

Haha I still have it on VHS too, it took 2 videos to fir the whole movie LOL. Ahhhh the days of VHS. Actually I just bought "it" and there are 2 sides to the dvd.

I like the beginning of Titanic when they show the computer model of the ship sinking. The end ive always liked too, being as corny as it was with her dream on the ship.

skcin 07-11-2005 01:03 PM

I've never seen any celebrities. They don't really hang out here. Go figure.

 See, now this is the kind of "luck" my roommate and I have been hoping for. If you were Leo and Matt, where would you go...? Hmmm...

I thought Oceans 12 was a great movie. Of course the first one was better but I still enjoyed this one a lot.

They're missing out, right? We haven't had many films here until recently it seems. I don't know how they picked our location but that is so neat. I've never seen an actor before. As far as famous people I saw Steven Tyler once at an ashram. That's about it. I think all the guys from Aerosmith live in MA, I've seen Joey Kramer at that ashram too. Oh yeah, and then there was Sharon Celani at the airport, not really famous though, and Stevie backstage and at the afterparty but no meeting. That's it.

DrummerDeanna 07-11-2005 01:21 PM

I like Titanic too :o

I did go see it for the historical aspects also. Seeing the movie really got me curious and I actually read up on a lot of it. I found it so interesting.

I did some reading on it too. I read "Night to Remember" and also watched many of the TV specials that were aired around that time. I believe there are two or three living survivors, last I heard.

Ive watched so many specials on it also. Every single one of them catch my intrest. I also saw some 3-D thing at the Imax theater where they went into the ship with a camera and went through all the floors of the ship. it was amazing. They showed the old worn out items that were in the ship and then showed the item as it was when it was new and everything. It was am amazing documentary.

So did I! I was completely immersed in it. It's so interesting now that they know what happened to read the account in A Night to Remember, which got things completely wrong regarding "explosions" and such. There weren't explosions, it was the ship breaking apart. I can't imagine that kind of trauma.

I was fascinated with it. I remember reading how a few officers and men balanced atop one of the collapsibles through the night until the Carpathia arrived. Unreal.

I'm going out again in a few cuz I heard that they are setting up another big scene. My friend just saw him very close and says he was in the scene or something, but he tends to embellish. I do have the camera. I don't think I'll give up my Leo to Perez tho.

My great uncle Patrick went down with the Titanic. He was on his way back from Ireland. He was in his early 20's.
