Vegas... again?

I just heard a commercial that Stevie will be playing at Caeser's on Saturday, Aug. 6th. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I thought she would come back here around October.

You're so lucky to live in Vegas!!!

jkmaletic 07-06-2005 04:56 PM

ARRRGGGHHH!! Why so SOON??

I was hoping for October too. Need time to save the money. Thanks for the info though.

Oh crap I need a sugar daddy.

MacMan 07-06-2005 04:59 PM

Only the one day??

jkmaletic 07-06-2005 05:00 PM

I just checked Caesars website and Stevie is not yet listed, BUT there is nothing on the schedule for that day, so it's open. Celine is even off. I wonder if Stevie is just doing that one show, or more than that?

Vegas was great, but since the Gold Dust tour is pretty much the same thing, there is no need to fly out West for this again. Unless she seriously plans to spice up the setlist!

Just the one?

I still think in the end, she'll be a permanent fixture there so i'm not going to flip out about not being able to go. Still, it was a blast

equeen102289 07-06-2005 05:13 PM

I was hoping for Oct. too... oh well... looks like I won't be at this one either.
I wonder how many more dates they will be adding??

WelshWitchPMD 07-06-2005 05:17 PM

I am thinking about this one for the simple reason that I have an airline credit. It is also a holiday here in RI that Monday so I could leave on Sat or take the rest of the half day that I have coming to me and leave on the Friday. I won't have to leave Vegas until the Monday.
I will have to see how the prices for hotels are that weekend. If it is cheap enough I might go if only to get rid of my credit.

diamondsnake 07-06-2005 05:19 PM

I was hoping for October because I thought the Vegas heat was unbearable... and I'm from Florida! I should be used to the heat but I was just completely unprepared for how hot and dry it was there.

Did you go this past May? It was cold! I would take the hot, dry weather over this horrible sticky stuff we have been having here in RI lately! It has been awful!

It was cold in Vegas in May? huh?

I went to the Friday and Saturday shows and it was a million degrees outside that weekend! Just walking from hotel to hotel made me so thirsty!

My throat closed up and my eyes were all dry. I was so uncomfortable. I need to move to Alaska or something.

It did warm up on those days but earlier in the week it was colder then I thought it would be for the time of year. The walking was the worst. I agree! I would take a bottle of water out with me and then at just about every hotel I had to make a pit stop.

Hmm... I wish I went to the earlier shows then. I'm extremely heat sensative to begin with though.

LeighB04 07-06-2005 05:49 PM

I was there that weekend, and it wasn't cold anywhere I went - even indoors, the air con seemed to be set on luke warmish.... please tell me where you went that it was cold - I wanna go there!!!

I thought it was a million degrees that weekend! I was sweating bullets walking up those outdoor stairs in the hot sun. And so thirsty!

I was in Vegas Thur, Fri and part of Sat... and it was pretty hot... loved it!!

If you thought it was hot in May, just wait until August. It should be a healthy 110-115 then.

I don't plan to go, but if I did I did I would make sure to stay at Caesar's Palace and not the leave the building all weekend! Considering all the restaurants, shops, etc. you really could spend your whole vacation in that one hotel.

That is what Livia and I did for the Friday and Saturday Stevie shows...we only left Caesar's twice and that was for (1) bloody mary's and breakfast at the Peppermill (a Livia tradition) and (2) to check out the new WYNN resort, which was gorgeous! Other than that, we lived in the metropolis of Caesars.
And we had a BLAST!! :]

Didn't she say something recently about being in Vegas in Aug? I kinda blew that off thinking she messed up Aug for Oct, being that they are both vowel months and well, it is Stevie....Looks like this time she was right. Now does this mean no OCT dates?

Caesar's was amazing! I want to stay there next time. They had some great shopping (did the stores ever close? I was shopping at Gucci at 2 in the morning!!! Correction- window shopping, my bank account was a little drained from the concerts)

I'm hoping for both. Forget this traveling & hotel bull****. Stevie can just come to me. :woohoo:

I think it is time for me to move to Las Vegas. Can you be a blackjack dealer at 18? Or is it 21?

I think "officially" you have to be 21 but a lot of my friends worked as dealers, bartenders, etc. before they were old enough.

The bathrooms in the rooms are gorgeous!

We did our shopping during the day, so I don't know about how late they stay open. I think Bruce made the Kiehl's employee's day in commissions - he dropped a small fortune there! LOL

And I highly recommend the buffet at The Wynn!

I will go ONLY if my friend who lives out there can get me comped tickets. She got front row center last time that way, with just a frickin' phone call! Had she known to ask for backstage passes, I'm sure she would have gotten those too. There were taking HUGE groups of "casino people" back after the saturday show. (which burned my ass) Man I hope she can come through for me....

:( :( :( :( :(

Where is that pesky little money fairy when you need her most?

I am still holding out for October... (or, better yet, a Toronto date before then!). I'm going to California in October, and I may just have to take a little detour if she's in Vegas...

If your friend comes through again...I will be your new best friend. ;)

But seriously I just wish I could find out when this tour will officially end so I can make up my mind which West Coast show I can catch!! Her management drives me bonkers.

jkmaletic 07-06-2005 09:37 PM

 You guys!

These comps would come through my friend's boyfriend's best friend who is a HUGE gambler at Caesars. So, I'm going to float the idea out to her. AFter all, it was only a simple phone call for the dude. She had such a great time at the last show. She was the only one in the front row that was up and dancing! She didn't know where her seats would be until she picked them up at will call the night of the show. I remember we were at dinner when she opened the envelope and revealed the front row center tickets. I was thinking, Son-of-a-Bitch!

Was she the one who was front row center dancing near the stage with her boyfriend or something? I remembered looking at all the stuffy people with comped seats (in the center section of the orch.) who refused to stand through the show and then I saw her and I was like "at least someone is having fun!"

I need to get a good contact though that can score me front row seats!

jkmaletic 07-06-2005 10:34 PM

If it was Saturday night, that was her!! She's got blonde hair. LOL! Her boyfriend (I hate to say) is a real winner. He's like 20 years older than her, and wears an italian horn pendant (and he ain't even italian). He's like a mafioso wanna-be. I REALLY don't understand WHY she is with him, she really is a smart girl, but anyway..

That's funny if you saw her!
