I don't know, after finding out last week that David is a Chiffonhead, I've lost my faith in the world. :(

Don't believe David being a Chiffonhead...he's just trying to rattle cages.

I am, but I'm not. I'm really unique in the community here; there's no one like me, although Pete9000 is similar. It's like I'm a Machead, only for Mac between certain years.

I'm SHAKIN' THE CAGE!!!

When Stevie's on blow, I think she's incredibly cool. I have a strictly aesthetic response to what I see on a stage or hear on a CD; I am unencumbered by sociological concerns in my reaction to the impression. I am like John Simon in that we believe that what occurs onstage or onscreen is a true gesamptkunstwerk, a complete aesthetic experience in which the performer's looks & sound are integral but not the performer's personal struggles with addiction, dwindling audiences, nasty critics, or psychological or psychical enervation. I am an Ars Gratia Artis aesthete & offer no apologies for it!

Well, that's me, too. As much as I have a rep for being a Stevie basher, I LOVE her stuff up to(and including) the Wild Heart. The next couple albums made me un-hitch my trailer from her sagging bumper, and I've honestly not gone back into her camp. And then I hear the SYW stuff, and I, a man, can sing four notes higher than she can now. I find her singing range pretty boring these days.

Look out Homie, here they come.... :(

Oh lord. That was so wrong.

Christine. Christine. Christine. So beautiful. Such gorgeous lips. Let's actually talk about her and not that other person who always winds up in this forum becuase of...guess who? I was just listening to "Can't Help Falling In Love" and I'm in love with it. She's so silky smooth on it. I actually heard "You Make Lovin' Fun" in two different stores today. It was enjoyable, but when I started thinking about ITM, I noticed how her voice has only improved, so much! This isn't a new analogy, but it's so much like a fine wine. I hope ITM isn't the last thing she puts out. :(

We can't praise and/or defend Stevie in this forum. :o :)

Considering what it implies (or blatantly states, basically), it's not okay with me at all. Of course everyone knows that that's a huge no-no with Hillary. The one criticism I can't take. You know, like how you can't take any criticisms of Christine at all? Whatever. I'll get over it. I have a problem with the comment but I don't have a problem with you.

HomerMcvie 07-06-2005 09:31 PM

Hillary, I like you. I really do. And I would never intentionally hurt your feelings.
But I do have a rather bawdy, crude sense of humor. Good thing I wear size 13s. They're too big to fit in my mouth!
BTW, :xoxo: :xoxo: :xoxo:

Who would have thought you'd get this many replies to a thread that started out as a mistake?

After re-reading the past few posts, I will only say that the "sagging bumper" remark was in reference to you know who's CAREER, not their tail end. I just wanted to clear that up for anyone who thought I was making fun of her body.
God I miss Al Bundy! :woohoo:

I always say, "a fan is a fan is a fan."
From the Chiffonheads to the Buckheads to Queen Christine's ever-loyal subjects, we're all pretty fiercely devoted.

You're such a little instigator.

I'm a very cruel captor. I would put "When I See You Again" on repeat, until my captive's ears bled.
Meanwhile, I'd be in Chiffonhead heaven.

Well, as soon as Homer mentioned you know who & the Chiffonheads, I just knew Johnny Stew would chime in on this thread eventually. ;)
