L. Ron Hubbard - The L is for LUNATIC
This from The Smoking Gun:
Before this poor Katie Holmes completes her conversion to Scientology, we hope she takes a moment to review some choice excerpts from the amusing FBI file on L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the controversial, um, religion. Story at: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive...1hubbard1.html Of particular interest is page 4 where it is written that LRH told the FBI a story of something happening to him in the middle of the night. Read by the red arrow. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive...1hubbard4.html |
Ah, good stuff indeed.
"Scientology's Nut Job Founder" How true  Do you think Cruise has converted anyone with his little rants? |
Quote:
Sadly, yes, he has probably converted some people, probably people who were feeling lost and thought, "maybe that's it". :distress: TSG usually tells it like it is without mincing words, haha. |
I, too, appreciate the Smoking Gun....
I am also in awe of the Tom Cruise/Oprah video sig, Ive heard that his stint on Oprah was weird/scary but Im not sure exactly what happened? Apparently he "attacked" her? what is UP with that boy? He's gone over the edge a la Farrah Fawcett.... |
Yeah that Tom Cruise signature clip is hilarious. Looks like the crazy Emperor from the Star Wars movies!!
|
I can't see the signature!!! :distress:

Oh, How spooky and yet so X-Files  |
You can read everything the FBI had on that whackjob at http://www.xenu.net . I've read practically all of it over the years and the guy was as crazy as Hitler. The clams have been trying to shut down that site for a decade and they almost succeeded when some of the Church member contracts and internal paperwork was posted.
If you really want some laughs, though, I suggest reading Dianetics before you read anything about him. |

Dude - I found a copy of Dianetics at a Goodwill for like 25 cents  I was going to buy it for entertainment value - but didn't - when I went back for it - it was gone  |

Toothy Cruise is certainly working his magic with the American population. o_O |

 The scary thing is - I have a friend who's a Tom Cruise fan and he actually find Scientology interesting and says it's something he could get behind  We've had many "discussions" about this as of late....don't wanna lose a friend to a cult :distress: |

I happened to pick up in those FBI docs that Hubbard touted scientology as one of the greatest discoveries since the wheel or some other absurdity. Now I feel like I have to read Dianetics! |

The guy publicly stated that he only created Scientology to get tax breaks, for cripes sake! |

They'd probably give me one for free outside the center that is close by but I am wary to go near that place. It sounds like a fun read. At the Celebrity Centre bookstore, when one of the minions spotted me, I felt like I was being backed into a corner by a giant praying mantis.

Hmm..and what were the results of that personality test? ;) |

When I ended up writing the article for the UMASS paper (that was why I had gone there in the first place), I got a good number of borderline threatening emails and letters addressed to the school paper offices. I'll have to dig them out, they're in the same box as Dianetics and all the other ****. |

Oh, this is excellent ! What an adventure. How many classes to get the help you need, indeed. Wait a minute....they actually hit you with the whole alien thing and clearing the Thetan energy b.s. in that first meeting ? |
