LOL, I must have missed it. Geez. I thought EVERYBODY had Zep 4, if only because of "Stairway To Heaven." It's one of those albums that I thought was essential.

A few summers back, I saw two back-to-back shows at Fraze Pavillion in Kettering, OH, where the artist covered a song from Zep 4. Sheryl Crow did "Rock And Roll" (this was one of the shows filmed for her DVD) and Heart did "Black Dog."

They did both "Black Dog" and "Rock and Roll" when I saw 'em. They do "Battle of Evermore" as well, don't they?

Amen. That woman has to be the best female rocker in history (or, rather, she shares the title with Grace Slick) and she can still kick it out with wild abandon. Heart has always covered a lot of Zeppelin tunes (Black Dog, Rock and Roll, Battle of Evermore, The Rover, etc.) and I always find them to be fantastic covers; they tone nothing down.

For that confession and on top of the insubordination, you must deal directly with Dick Cheney on the issue of WMD - my advice is to give in immediately otherwise, W will invade your house, esp. if you have a few cans of oil around the place

Please send it forthwith to Halliburton in an effort to stave the invasion in Georgia!

Train does some really cool live covers of LZ songs. They nail them and you really feel like you're at a LZ show.

Oh my god! The first time I heard them do LZ live I thought it was an old LZ show. Pat has an amazing voice.

Yeah I'd have to say Ann is the greatest female rocker too, I think Id put Stevie next though, then Janis, then Grace.

Did anyone see them do Battle of Evermore... that was on the Live in Seattle DVD and CD. First time I heard it on the radio all the little hairs on my arms stood up and I got gooseflesh. Then I drove to the nearest Best Buy and bought both CD and DVD, listened to it over and over. I was INHABITED!

Do you think STevie could handle Battle of Evermore? I'm not sure her range is up to it. I would probably pass out if she did. Lyrically it's right up her ally.

Laura
