Soundstage New Broadcast Date - September 8
PBS Chicago, which distributes the Soundstage program, now lists the broadcast date as September 8. No less than five PBS stations had Lindsey's Soundstage airing startting July 22 (Oregon, Central Texas, St. Louis, etc.). Repeated attempts to have WTTW Chicago confirm the July 21 date went unanswered, so I figured they could not confirm the date with Lindsey. The good news is that it is going to air (albeit one week shy of two years)! It is my understanding from other PBS stations, that since WTTW developed the show, they govern the earliest date that the show will broadcast. Expect the other PBS statiojns to change the air date to the week of September 8.

September 8th is a day after my birthday... so that'll make a nice little present. :D |

Do you have the link with that info? The WTTW site still says Sept 2004 as premiere date. |

I haven't received any reply from the Indy PBS which I wrote to. They only have airdates for the Michael MacDonald soundstage. Thanks for doing the detective work. |

 I guess that I will have lots of time saved up by the end of the year. I have to use it by December because it does not carry over year to year. Come on Lindsey! I need to use my vacation days! |
Figures. Here's my reply from the Buffalo PBS Station.
Dear Paula, Thanks for writing us. There no broadcast dates set for season 3 of Soundstage at this time. Please feel free to contact us again in the future to see when the series will be returning. We always enjoy hearing from our viewers and members. Marnie Davis Viewer Services Coordinator WNED Horizons Plaza P.O. Box 1263 Buffalo, NY 14240 Dicks. |

Also, if it's a one-hour show, won't some songs have to be cut? |

Hmm, this is very odd. I just got my Channel 11 Guide in the mail today (I get a subscription since I became a "member" just by buying silver circle seats to the Chris Isaak/Stevie show in Chicago--it's a lot like the TV Guide that comes with one's Sunday paper, but it focuses only on the local PBS broadcasting), and I just posted this info on another board:
Hey everyone, Sunday, July 24th, at 12:10 am (so actually very late Saturday night). Woohoo! I am so excited! So if you're in the Chicago area, that's the official air date as of right now! *Lisa Anne* So anyway, now I'm confused. I hope the people you're talking to are just misinformed and that what I have in print is correct. Would they change it after putting it in print? I suppose that's happened before, so it's not outside the realm of possibility, but I hope not! Oh, and the length is supposedly an hour. |
Man, if this airs elsewhere you guys had better have your VCRs ready to make copies for the rest of us.
