The Final Rounds of Greatest Hits '88 Survivah!

She may have won the White Album game, but the sky took her away too early this time....Rhiannon is gone with 15 votes.

-YMLF: 13 votes
-GYOW: 4 votes
-Gypsy: 2 votes

The top three:

1. GYOW
2. Gypsy
3. You Make Loving Fun

Vote for the one you want gone. :)

dudden22 06-15-2005 07:34 PM

This is a really tough one, but I will have to go with "Go Your Own Way".

ontheEdgeof17 06-15-2005 07:40 PM

Go Your Own Way is my vote, too. ;)

HomerMcvie 06-15-2005 07:47 PM

Go Your Own Way.

SteveMacD 06-15-2005 07:56 PM

Wow. I'm proud of everybody for coming up with this top three. I'm thrilled that there's one from each in the top three!

Okay, now I have to make a decision, which is going to be murder, as I LOVE all three songs equally. Gypsy is such a beautiful tribute to Robin Anderson, and YMLF is a groovin' love song for Curry Grant. GYOW is such a great rocker, and is probably Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece. I can never hear that song enough live. However, I'm voting GYOW. Of the lot, it's the bitter song. For some strange reason, I'm in a very positive mood today, and this song can lead to negative energy.

strandinthewind 06-15-2005 08:14 PM

GYOW - great song, but the least of these three.

I cannot WAIT to see the anti Chiffonheads  pow wow to get rid of Gypsy, which is the clear winner of these three

Out of the three, it's between YMLF and GYOW for me. I'm not sure which one yet. Gypsy is fantastic, but I don't consider it their greatest hit, not even out of those three. Say You Love Me, to me, is truly their greatest hit, with Over My Head a close second.

I might say YMLF if they had kept the original ending with the different harmonies, which IMO made the song better. But, Gypsy is just so majestic and shows off all three IMO well. LB's genius guitar, CM's harmony, and that vocal from La Nicks is horrifyingly hauting as are her words

:blob2: I love that version. It definately made it a stronger track.

It's my favorite track of all on the regular and bonus disc. I LOVE the different lyrics at the end! :blob1: :blob1: :blob1:

golddustwoman77 06-15-2005 08:50 PM

I'm still going with "You Make Loving Fun."

It made them sounder like a true harmony band - and the live version of that is just FAB!

I've only seen the live Rumours version once. VH-1 was showing it on their site, but the clip was unsavable. And I've never seen it on Kazaa, either.

Absolutely! I might even consider that over Gypsy if it was on here.

I think we've accepted that we're usually out-numbered.

I guess the cocaine baskets we sent didn't work. We should offer meth labs since that's the new craze.

Fine. I already have most of the equipment. You'll have to provide the beakers though.

Count me in as a Chiffon Head! Anyway, I voting for You Make Loving Fun...again.

sodascouts 06-15-2005 09:41 PM

This is the time to get rid of You Make Lovin' Fun.

Hawkeye 06-15-2005 10:05 PM

Gypsy I seem to be the only one not in love with song. Its good, but the other too are much better and Rhiannon would've been MUCH better.

Dreammms 06-15-2005 11:02 PM

you make loving fun

great song but gypsy and go your own way are better....

mondaymornin1 06-15-2005 11:07 PM

Let the pow-wow begin....

Gypsy gets my vote...maybe this'll help if there's a tie

Personally, I'm usually in the Eraser-head club, but I love YMLF!!

AliP 06-15-2005 11:13 PM

Go Your Own Way

wondergirl9847 06-15-2005 11:16 PM

Be gone

You Make Loving Fun

Johnny Stew 06-16-2005 12:41 AM

"Go Your Own Way."

KarmaContestant 06-16-2005 01:14 AM

Wow. These last three are three of my favorites, but I have to go pro-Stevie and vote for Go Your Own Way - I love it, but not as much as the other two.

riff_Shuffler 06-16-2005 01:49 AM

My vote is for: Go Your Own Way......love the song, but love the other two more. ;) :D

Josh :wavey:

lagringader&r 06-16-2005 02:32 AM

How did I miss this game?! I'm voting off YMLF. Sorry, Chris. :sorry:

Mari 06-16-2005 02:36 AM

Go Your Own Way.
I like the other two so much more.

trackaghost 06-16-2005 04:17 AM

I thought you realized that everyone living to north from you is a nutcase anyway. ;)

Proof enough:

I vote off "Go Your Own Way". One of the worst songs I have ever heard, a lame imitation of the "Street Fighting Man" beat coupled with utterly homogenized, passionless harmonies and a repetitive pseudo-climatic stadium rock guitar solo that screams out: EXERCISE CATHARSIS YOU FOOLS, WAVE THOSE LIGHTERS! I slightly prefer the limp totally-devoid-of-balls and oh-so-whitey funk of "You Make Loving Fun" and the 100% calculated satanism of "Gypsy" to it.

Should I try and play it backwards, is that when you can hear her sing "I shagged Satan" ?
