Pittsburgh - 3rd & 5th row pit on TM now!

Go get 'em. :D

amber 06-10-2005 01:52 PM

Cause the concert is tomorrow, right? Were those seats showing up before?

No of course not. We got 5th row from a broker.

Oh well. Once again, I have learned nothing from the ticket buying experience.

Oh, good. (I mean, not for you, but) B/C it's the concord presale right now, and even someone who was on right when it started wasn't pulling up anything. I looked 1-1/2 hours after it started, and they had only seats that are almost to the lawn. So, basically, I was trying to find out if it would be one of those VEgas type things, and it looks like it will be.
Thanks. :wavey:

Yeah, I was thinking that. We'll try.

Seems like there is only one left in 3rd row...and the rest are 5th side...and clear over on the side. I think our tix are the best bet at the moment.

skcin 06-10-2005 02:07 PM

Actually, they keep popping different ones up - I just got 5th row for a single, then 3rd for a pair. Jerks.

That's OK, 5th row is plenty good. I'm not going to worry about it unless front row pops up. Besides - it will be easier for us to hop over the back of our seats for Edge than if we're stuck in the middle.

I'm folding my chair down when the show starts. I'm not waiting for Edge.... It's a pit. We're suppose to be cramped and smushed towards the front.

ontheEdgeof17 06-10-2005 02:14 PM

Seats 3 and 4 are crummy!

strandinthewind 06-10-2005 02:16 PM

I owuld call TM now and try and upgrade. Do not take no for an answer - ask to speak to a manager, etc. I have done this before by explaining that when I bought the tickets, I was assured they were the best seats possible, etc. I have also threatened to cancel the chrage on my cc for that reason, etc. It worked for me

jkmaletic 06-10-2005 02:16 PM

I wonder what security will be like after Don leaves? Maybe it will be how it was for FM (letting everyone in the first few rows up for the entire show), because as far as I know Don H. is the one maiking people stay back. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Stevie starts doing her solo gigs.

Good plan. The seats that they are showing are so far over, our 5th row will have a better view, though. I'll keep checking to see if seats closer to the middle will pop up.

Really? I'm sure that's the only way they'll do it, too. That's a great tip for next time I get really pissed off cause I bought something on the presale and something waaaay better came up later!

I have learned the hard way that for some reason, the net does not always have the best seats, though it often does. I always call TM closer to the day of the concert and they have what the net will not show, maybe it is the search engine on the net. Anyway, good luck and have fun!!!!!!!!!!

I was just outraged at the practice of selling up. Apparently, they figure that if they release some better seats closer to the concert, people will just say screw it and buy the better seats. Thus, they sell two seats. THey also gave me this line about the artist holding those seats for friends and then releasing them at the last minute. I think that is BS because I cannot imagine La Nicks having the presence to say in another city hundreds of miles away "Ya know - I better release those Atlanta tickets I've been holding back" Maybe these are the VIP things that did not sell, but that makes no sense because there are VIP purchasers sitting further back  Finally, the scalpers were offering seemingly some of these same seats and they are most certainly in bed with TM as I have a friend whose son is a scalper. In the end, I just bitched up a storm in a nice way and they caved.

I don't see seat #'s - how are you seeing seat #'s?

I agree, though, too far over. I'll wait it out.

Who gives a damn. You still have the ticket and they have no clue who you are or what your relationship is to the person whose name is on the ticket.

Well, at least 6 seats are open in row 3....but they are seats 1-6.

You can see the seat #s when you scroll down a bit.

Still liking my tickets at the moment.

I can't say "Take it off my credit" when I didn't charge anything to them. :p

No, but they do not know that the person who charged them is not making that threat and you do not know that is not what they would do - now do you. Plus, even without that ace in the hole, the other arguments have worked for me on their own

mmmm, word souppppp....*drool*.....that reminds me, I just finished reading the Phantom Tollbooth. I hadn't read it in so long, and I found a used copy for 2 bucks - It was really old, too, which I like. Anyway, pointless segue over.

I love soup. But nothing with beef in it.

JK. I like the beef flavor for soup, but not so much the big fatty beef chunks. So I don't eat them.
