The Real World Austin

Did anyone else just watch the casting special? The shows haven't even aired yet and I think I hate everyone  They need to stop making this show. Each season it sucks a little more.

I agree that they need to stop making REAL WORLD, for obvious reasons.

The thing I miss most about not having cable. Yeah, you heard me, it's the real world.

I like those, but 7 Brats living in a house with free alcohol....isn't the Real World.

I lost interest past Boston.

Yep. I'm right there with ya. I'm just a glutton for cheesy punishment, I guess.

Curtie, after Boston???!??? Everyone knows the third season was best!!! lol.
that's the best part, free rent, free alcohol. Hello?

GypsySorcerer 06-06-2005 10:26 PM

I think the last season I watched was Las Vegas.

Merf 06-06-2005 10:35 PM

The last season I took a real interest in was the one when they went back to New York.... with the Miz and Coral. After that it's completely sucked.

My favorite season will always be the first one. :xoxo:

Remember when Melissa opened Dan's mail and that fight they had about it on the stairs? LOVED IT!

...and when Flora try to climb through that window to see Mike in the shower with Melissa and that waitress?   All you could hear was ass slapping! hahaha

Livia 06-06-2005 10:45 PM

I feel like I already know these people - I've heard about every bar brawl and PF Chang's outing (across the street from the house). There were daily updates on sightings, fuzzy camera phone pics from bars they hung out in all over 6th St. I think they only left the 6th St. area once or twice...they were within stumbling distance.

But, I'll watch, cuz I've watched all of 'em and it's in MY town this time! Sorry I missed the casting special, I'll have to catch a rerun...

Mwahhhh!!!! Melissa was an excellent little bitch.
Do I remember the climb through the window? Please!!! I can't believe that guy got laid, though. And wasn't that the one with supergay Dan?
I remember I was totally mesmerized that everyone rollerbladed everywhere. Obviously, the coolest person there was....was her name Sarah? the blond comic/rollerblade chick? always looked high?

With each new season, I tell myself I won't watch, but end up tuning in anyway. I do prefer the rw/rr challenges, though.

I loved the first one, too, but my favorite was San Francisco. I had a thing for Judd.

Mike slapping the waitress and Melissa's ass in Dan's shower...Sarah lifting Flora into the window slats with her huge boobs  That may have been one of the most amusing episodes ever.

Same here! I LOVED the first one, tolerated the second one, barely stomached the third one, and quit watching altogether after that stupid reunion special, where I believe they introduced the London cast. And, I could only stomach about ten minutes of Road Rules. Needless to say, I don't watch Empty Vee anymore. The last time I actually sat down and enjoyed MTV for any lenght of time was for "The Dance" and for Celebrity Death Match.

Miami has got to be my fav second. My absolute fav is L.A. Who could forget Tammy's whole ordeal with Beth and that dude that ripped the comforter off of her...lol.

I liked the first season the best (Andre!), then Miami and London. What a bunch of lazy assholes the Miami group was, though...they got $50,000 to start a business that they did NOTHING with it! But, they WERE entertaining, that's for sure. What about LA? "It wasn't not funny!"

I was the same way with Philadelphia but after the third episode, I was over it  Last season blew big time. The past few seasons have been more than forgetable

Well, i'm watching (because there's nothing else on at present). Austin looks like a beautiful city from what they're showing but i'll have to say, this is really a **** cast...I really can't say there's anyone I like  I'm kind of revolted by the girl that keeps showing her ass every five seconds and mentioned she walks around her house in front of her parents with a bra and underwear on  The one guy from Boston is cute but seems like a bit of a moron...Johanna reminds me of a Ruthie and I don't understand how she can expect the other dude to take care of her all the time while she's drunk. It'll be interesting to see if they actually complete the documentary they're supposed to film.

Pretty People. Hrump.

I do feel sorry for Danny. He could have lost his eyesight. Glad he is okay.

ShangriLaTroubl 06-21-2005 10:11 PM

Those trolley buses don't really go "ding ding" like cable cars in San Fran. I was distracted by crazy editing and sh*t like that. After Danny got hit in the street and they started heading "back to the house," I noticed they were going the wrong way. They were in front of the Ritz, walking west, their house was the opposite direction. Then again, it was only their second night in town and they were wasted...

I'm not too impressed w/ the cast either at this point, but Nehemiah is my fave so far. Least fave? Wes!

The house seems kinda barren...pretty colors and all that, I like the kitchen and the indoor pool is cool. We had a lot of rain around the time they first began filming. Expect a lot of bitching about the weather!

P.S. That big skyscraper in the background of the exterior house shots is the Frost Bank building. Depending on who you ask around here, folks either love it or hate it. The top looks like a crystal nose hair clipper....It's pretty at night, though. :p

The way they shot it looked like a lightening bolt to me.
Did they press charges against the guy who hit Danny? It looked like he was sucker punched to me.
I can already tell the blonde girl is going to 'cause all kinds of problems.

I'm not sure if Danny pressed charges - but I agree, he should have! There might be something about it here, if you feel like digging.

RWA

I seem to remember people on that board thinking that Danny's nose was broken and he needed surgery, not his eye...
