TISL picture....
 

I posted this a while back on this site, but didn't have much luck. Figured I'd try again (that's how badly I'd love to print this picture).

Does anyone remember there was some site that posted the cover of TISL before it was released? And the cover picture was not the one with Stevie jumping, her backview. It was the pic of her sitting down (the pic used in the promo posters, that is a close up of her, she's kind of look off to the side/distance, and the poster is like all gold-toned). It had that pic as the front cd picture of TISL, but it was not as close up. You could see that whole archway (just like you can see it on the cover they used, with her jumping a little), and you can see the water. And it was full color, not gold-toned. I thought it was *gorgeous* and it did remind me of her Bella Donna days, and reminded me of the song Blue Water a little bit. I thought it was just such an awesome pic to use as the cover. At that time I did not have a printer so couldn't print it out. I figured no big deal since I'd buy TISL andhave the pic on the cover of it, and figured it'd be everywhere in advertising and promo posters. But as luck would have it, they went and changed the cover picture before releasing it. So I never got a copy of that pic. Does anyone have it? I woulds love, love, *love* to print it! I just loved that picture so much. I wish they used it for the front cover and then used that pic of her jumping, showing her backview as the back-side picture of the cd. Oh well.

But if anyone has it and can post it, or email it to me, or has seen it posted on a website, I'd be doing a little Snoopy happy jig to see it. :) Thanks for any info anyone might have...

Does anyone know of this pic? Please??? I think it was Queen of Rock - the name of the website where I first (and only) saw it. I don't see this pic on that site anymore. Looks like the site has changed, or is for sale??? But it's such a cool, COOOOOOOL picture. Ubless I just dreamed it. But I swear, it's out there somewhere. And it was really beautiful....

I clicked on your link, but it came up with some white screen saying I was forbidden to get that link. That's weird. I've been to that burnish website before, just the other day, actually...??? Is it in their Stevie photo gallery section? Do you happen to know what page# it's one? I'll go browse there...thanks for the info - I'm all excited now, hoping it's the pic! :)

Oh....is it the one under the discography at the TISL album? Yes, it's just like that picture, think it might be the same exact picture, only the version I am looking for is not that gold/yellow-tone. And also the view is futher back, so you see more of the background and Stevie's whole body sitting there, and you see the arch above her, and the water beyond....it's in regular full-color. And it's gorgeous.

So, picture the arch that is on the front cover of the TISL cd. In regular color. Seeing the whole arch at the top, and then Stevie sitting on the floor and the sea beyond her....it was beautiful. Damn that my printer was dead back then, or I would have had some copies of it. [sigh] It would have made a wonderful poster too. Much nicer than the gold-color version they used. And also, I loved having it not so close up so we could see the pretty background of the archway and the ocean....

I have never seen anything like what you are describing... but good luck in your hunt for it.

Thank you for that link! That's it, I think. I must have imagined the arch being in it. The one I saw seemed to be clearer and better color. I just thought I had told my friend (who lives out of town and didn't have internet access at the time) about the cool arch...? I dunno. I'll still keep looking for a pic a little clearer so I can print it out. But thank you so much for that link. Maybe that is it....atleast it's not all gold-tone and has some color to it...like I remember...thanks! (I'll always be wondering about the arch now, since I told my friend that...?)

The October 12th issue of R&R Magazine has a huge ad for "Sorcerer" with a new picture.

This was listed on the Nicksfix from 2001, does anyone have a copy of this pic?

This ad is quite mysterious. I remember seeing it on the newstand but didnt buy a copy at the time. I believe the pic of Stevie was a TISL unused outake
never seen before the ad or since. I tried to order a back issue but R&R emailed me that it was unavailable.

Any help would be apprecited if someone has a copy and could post it!

I have a framed promo ad for Sorcerer from an industry magazine...not sure which mag it came from anymore It's the same picture that is on page 7 of the TISL CD booklet (counting the front cover as page 1) and on the cover of the Sorcerer promo CD single. If there was another ad, I am unaware of it. :shrug:

I scanned this from a postcard I received, announcing the release of the album. I think the quality should be good enough for you to print out.

It's really weird that you mention this, because my boyfriend was just telling me about it... literally three days ago.
I've never seen it before. The only ad for "Sorcerer" that I'm familiar with, is the Billboard ad, which used the same pic as the promo single (also found in the 'TISL' booklet).

He mentioned it to me, because he has it and has misplaced it... and was wondering if I've ever seen it. So it's driving him crazy trying to find it.
When he does, I'll see about having him post a scan of it here. :D

Joshua described it as looking like it was an outtake from the cover shoot, with Stevie standing under the archway, and... I believe he said... with her face turned slightly towards the camera.

I have that too.....it came with a velum lyric booklet and a black and white photo. Now I'm wondering where I have misplaced it.

Maybe it's this mystery picture that I saw too that I am remembering...I hope it pops up somewhere so we can all see it. Too bad they didn't put a few of those outtake photos in the tour book or something. I love seeing different pics from photo sessions. I always wonder if there are any from Wild Heart too. I have seen a few from RAL, but never close up and clear. Wouldn't Wild Heart outtakes be cool to see!

Exactly! It was in the Oct 12 2001 edition of Radio and Records magazine. Definetely an outtake of the cover photo shoot with Stevie in a different style dress looking more towards the camera.

Hopefully someone will find it!!

Is that a scan... or a digital camera shot...You should try scan it larger so more detail shows up... Not that you have to listen to me... But it would be nice to see larger. :D

I am still looking for my ad as well....I will scan a larger image when I find it (my last move was a killer!). If I remember right, the ad was pretty big, like 10 x 14 or so....

So glad that the image made all of you happy! I just LOVE the TISL imagery, and especially adore this rarity of Stevie at the archway. :D

That is really cool! It makes me wish we could see all the photo outtakes from that photo session. It was such beautiful scenery. Does anyone know where that was?

Somewhere around LA, I believe....I remember an interview Stevie did in 2001. She said that the cover shot they ended up using was actually a polaroid from lighting test shots. She had just arrived on the set and got all excited when she saw it - she jumped in the archway like an excited little girl, and voila!!

Yeah, I'd love to see the whole roll - and all the polaroids!
