ok all, i just flew back from Las Vegas tonight and i'm very happy to report that I have had two very successful recordings of the 5/10 show and the 5/11 show.

If anyone is interested in these shows, i am willing to do a trade for them. If you have nothing to trade, then maybe we can work something else out. Anyone who is interested, PM me.

I can see that being important for a soundboard and maybe even some amateur recordings done on DAT, but most audience recordings are subpar to start with. It is unlikely that you'd be able to tell which recording is compressed and which is so-called "lossless audio."

Any loss that comes from MP3 compression is insignificant, even to the trained techie ear, if what is being compressed is coming from the source.

I thought about it Brian, but not at this time... i'm sure they'll end up on there eventually (as all of my shows inevitably do), but right now i'm doing trades only and i will consider other options as well... i'm uploading some mp3's from the show and i will be sending them to three different people who will be hosting them for me on their sites... i will let you all know once they are sent and uploaded... should be sometime this evening...

Well, I do admit that this is mainly a purist issue for me. So my arguments are on this level:

IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL RECORDING!

It is good that some people care...at least that way there is some form of intergrity for the recordings, if anything it would be ashame to have the original format lost.
