I just figured he'd be in the audience, at least one night. "Hey! Hey, Mick! can I sit in your lap?"
What with his front row seats, and all... :D

I think Stevie told him he could come, but only if he left his drum vest at home.

Jessica Leigh 05-06-2005 05:01 AM

seriously.... as long as Lindsey stays home i'm cool.... i love love looooooove lindsey to death but i'm ready for some good old fashioned "girls night out" stevie and her girls performances.... i wanna see Lori perform (yes i'm one of those young ones who has never seen her ON STAGE) and i wanna have some fabulous buffet meals....

THAT is what I am looking forward to in Vegas.... Lori on stage and singing.... and eating at buffets...

:( :( :( I was hoping that he and John show up.

Didn't it say on the Nicksfix Lori was only singing on a few songs? Linds could come out and play during Landslide..honestly he is the ONLY guitar player who should EVER play that song and it would not detract from the incredibleness of Lori, Sharon and La Nicks. I am up for whatever she wants to do, bring it on. (Lindsey included)

 You got that one right!! I would love to see Lindsey. I mean if Mick is going to be there what difference would it make if Lindsey did show up, too?

OMG - if you guys come out of there and tell me that Linds was there....

I'm already dyin'.

Stevie with Sharon and Lori... songs we haven't heard in years.... if Lindsey makes a surprise appearence, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

jkmaletic 05-06-2005 11:11 AM

I doubt Lindsey will be there. He's busy with his kids and new album, right? Whereas Mick seems to follow Stevie wherever she goes. We'll see.

What would be better than him coming out and playing is Lindsey coming out and sitting with you and I :p

Meh....Mick....I could do without him playing with Stevie but I guess it would be cool.

I'm with Jessica in that I've never had the opportunity to see Lori with Stevie so i'm pretty stoked about that

Hello, thank you! It's kind of a fantastic notion to think Lindsey would come, IMO. He's just not like that with her.

Rickypt 05-06-2005 12:35 PM

I also highly doubt Lindsey will be there, but not because he's busy with kids or album. He doesn't seem to enjoy or support anything Stevie does that doesn't involve him. The only exception in recent years is one appearance at an AHI benefit. He has already called Stevie's solo shows a "lounge act" and left her TISL listening party without even telling her what he thought of her work.

Mick, on the other hand, clearly adores Stevie and is her good friend. He was at the first 1999 House of Blues show, sitting up in the balcony and is at all the AHI benefits. Makes sense that he'll be on hand to support Stevie next week. So here's a big thumbs up to Mick.

Why only a few songs?? Will she be too busy raising her daughter for those 4 nights that she can't spare the time to do a 1 and half hour show?

Kelly 05-06-2005 02:20 PM

Well, Lindsey was at Agassi and Stormy Weather in 98, with Mick. (one of those was written up in some paper and fellow Ledgie Creeping Death can attest to this) to support Stevie. He did not play, but he watched. He has played at two AHIs. He WENT to the TISL listening party. He was supposed to play at her LA TiSL show until they got into some big argument. It seems he has been making some changes in recent years on this whole subject. Besides..we are all just speculating and dreaming...based on the thread topic of Mick being there and possibly playing for Heavens sake! Sheesh.

Well, wouldn't you be a bit scared of having to answer Stevie if she came up to you to ask how you liked "That Made Me Stronger" and "Love Changes"? Can you blame the man for running?!

GypsySorcerer 05-06-2005 09:30 PM

Maybe he'll play drums on "Sable on Blond."

The drum machine at the opening of "Love Changes" may have sent him screaming to the valet.

As the whole of 'Go Insane,' and various other solo songs, can attest -- Lindsey has no aversion to drum machines.
