VICE magazine article

glitter_fades was nice enough to post this link over in the Rumours forum, and I thought I'd post it here too just to make sure people know about it. A great, *new* interview with Stevie from VICE magazine where she talks about her current projects and her past.

Thanks for the posting!

I guess we need to add "anonymous waiter" to Stevie's list of loves.

Great article! And the comments following - BWAH!

This article is excellent (and I love the picture). Thanks so much for posting it over here and to glitter_fades for finding the article :wavey:

I wonder if this means she is finally going to release the Rhiannon concept album she has been talking about for years. If this is the case it's great for the fans but it's difficult to imagine Warner/Reprise letting her do it.

I think we'll all believe it when we see it... but it would be great. :)

You know, she always talks about these "fabulous" men that she has met and all these romances that she's had over the years... but doesn't she ever date anyone nowadays?? I mean, seriously, when was the last time she had a man??
I think it's time to start dating again, Stevie...

I think Stevie dats a lot more than we think she does, however she doesn't really seem to discuss things until after they are over. On the other hand though, I am sure if she got married everyone would know about it though.

They sure knew how to find an obnoxious photo for their New Order story:

This article is excellent. I like how she is looking back reminiscing and gives us a complete overview of her career. There are a few interesting things in this article...especially the line "and now I have complete freedom". She sounds fulfilled and like she is proud of her past accomplishments, realizing she has sacrificed alot but knowing that was how her life was meant to play out.

I do not see a Rhiannon concept album, but perhaps something else with the Rhiannon songs.

I don't think she has much trouble in THAT department.  Unless her staff completely keeps her isolated, I am sure she has tons of options. (If not, I am sure this board would offer a few)  :D

Thanks for posting that, it was a good read. A really cool view into her memories of 'the way it was'.

Very strange little article, in my opinion. I see that it is by "Stevie Nicks as told to (whatever the guy's name was)." But, as I was reading it, I was thinking, I could have written this article, just based on what I've read over the years.

Also found it very disconcerting to be reading "her story" that was so NOT in her voice. That's not at all how she speaks - or writes.

ZOING!!!!! I felt the same way. It doesn't read like anything Stevie would say or do. Maybe this her new persona after "the change"?

Hey, I was at the New Order concert last night.. fun show!!

Kelly 05-06-2005 02:06 PM

The "tone" of the article seems so different to me...it is not the normal Stevie interview. I cannot pinpoint what it is , something about it seems sooo, hmm.....I dunno...maybe the word is "complete" or final? I do love the photo!

Serrart 05-06-2005 03:31 PM

Great read, thanks Glitter Fades!
Obviously the writer recorded what Stevie said and made it as a small story, giving to it an adequate tone and cutting the side parts. Not bad, IMO.
And I loved reading this:

I know some people say they used to write better when they were younger, but I feel the greatest writing for me is yet to come. I'm always working on new material and I'm always inspired.

About the comments... someone needs a Doris Day comedy there.

I LOVED that. She sounds so strong and confidant there AND she makes me feel better about not having kids.:laugh:

I'd like to hear more about what happened in Frampton's hotel room ...;)

Exactly! I think that Stevie is so full of BS sometimes! I think that was trying to make us think that she was some kind of a prude but I am not buying it.
