God dammit! That is some funny material! But she will see my hideously disfigured face and say "holy **** buddy! who let you in here? At least stumpy here can cover her tiny eye with her golden braid! You got nothin!!"

Can I just profess my love for Marianne Faithful please? LOVE this woman. Before the Poison is an amazing album. The songs she did with P.J. Harvey are stellar and not to be missed imo.

"Go Your Own Way."

'Nuff said. ;)

catinthedark 04-29-2005 10:30 AM

One of my favourites for bitchin' attitude - Whole Lotta Trouble.

You're not my friend
You're not my love
And this is something that we really don't discuss
"Where are you?"
Sometimes I hear you crying...
And I wake up and I get through it

LOVE that line.

face of glass 04-29-2005 10:41 AM

Right now a particular favourite is "Face Up" by New Order:

Quote:

Ever since I've seen your face
This life of mine has gone to waste
I was young and you were old
And I always knew you were cold
At the start you had a heart
But in the end you lost your friend
Can you see your own dark face?
It's dying in a lonely place
Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you
I said, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you.

eclipse 04-29-2005 10:52 AM

It's hard not to stomp around with you face all scrunched up belting that one out when you're in a pissy mood, eh? I listen to it on my iPod Shuffle and have to hold myself back from looking like an absolute maniac when it comes on!

Superhero: Ani Difranco Sad and bitchy combo song!

all the same 04-29-2005 11:50 AM

Bowie's got some good bitchy ones!

The Heart's Filthy Lesson

Hallo Spaceboy "Do you like girls or boys? It's confusing these days but moon dust will cover you, cover you! And the CHAOS IS KILLING ME!!!"

I'm Afraid of Americans

I LOVE that line.

I love those lines, too.

I also love it when she's yelling "You're not living in the real world!!!"

Also:

He says, "When will I see you?"
She says, "I don't think tomorrow, baby"

And:

When I want something
I get it

Just a great overall bitchin', attitude-givin', take-me-on kind of song. Great to listen to when you're in that very mood.

Great to listen to when you're pissed playing cards too. You can totally scream the lyrics at each other while you throw down your awesome cards!

"Revenge" by Patti Smith

"I gave you a wristwatch, baby.
You wouldn't even give me the time of day.
You want to know what makes me tick.
Now it's me that's got precious little to say.
For the ghosts of our love have dried have died.
There's no use faking it.
Ah, the spirits gonna close in on you tonight.
High time I was taking my revenge.
Sweet revenge.
Revenge. Revenge.
"

"Love is Like a River" by Miz Stevie

"You must have many things to remember-
Ooo, because nothing else in your life has really changed...
"

"For the Roses" by Joni Mitchell (a song written about James Taylor)

"Remember the days when you used to sit
And make up your tunes for love
And pour your simple sorrow
To the soundhole and your knee
And now you're seen
On giant screens
And at parties for the press
And for people who have slices of you
From the company
They toss around your latest golden egg
Speculation-well, who's to know
If the next one in the nest
Will glitter for them so
"

There are a pile more out there, but these are the ones that came to mind first.

TheBlueLamp 04-29-2005 01:19 PM

I totally agree with Tina's 'The Bitch Is Back'

Also

Beethoven (I Love To Listen To) - Eurythmics
You Made Me Come To This - Shakespears Sister
Vengeance - Carly Simon
Rip Her To Shreds - Blondie
Dark Lady - Cher (well...the fortune teller was a real bitch)
Backfired - Debbie Harry
I Love You Like A Ball And Chain - Eurythmics
I Need A Man - Eurythmics (I like Annie when she's bitchy)
The Wedding List - Kate Bush
Long Way To Go - Stevie
She Calls You Missing (and Whole Lotta Trouble I guess) - Stevie

Mari 04-29-2005 01:54 PM

^ you sound like a Eurythmics fan :) Love them.

CreepingDeath 04-29-2005 02:19 PM

You Oughta Know- Alanis Morrisette
Smile At You (demo)

I could name a ton of angry songs, but I'm not too sure about 'bitchy'.

Gawd, Hallo Spaceboy is one of my favorites. Easily his best live song. When he screams "This chaos is killing meeeeeee" and waves the mic in front of his mouth? I lose it. Kicks ass. I'm Afraid of Americans is great, too, but it has to be the album version or else they edit out the "p*ssy and cars" line.

Reality is another good, bitchy one. "Tragic youth was going down on me."

dissention 04-29-2005 02:30 PM

Rip Her To Shreds and Shakedown by Blondie are definitely bitchy and catty. Bike Boy from Debbie solo isn't really bitchy, but it's got lots of attitude.

American Boy by Juliette and the Licks is one helluva bitchy song.
