Northern Star
When I first got In the Meantime I only really liked about 4 songs a lot and Northern Star wasn't one of those. But now 6 months later I just listened to it again and I don't why but OMG is it an amazing song. It's so freaking great one of her best songs EVER and by far the best on the album. Everyone seems to love Calumny but I think it sucks compared to the wonderful Norhtern Star. Does anyone else really love this song.

Northern Star is my favorite song on ITM.

i'm amazed that you insist on this album for so long. i gave up on it after 10 times or so.

I also love "Northern Star", although I'm one of those who loves "Calumny" more. Christine's vocals are FANTASTIC on both of these songs. Dan Perfect is a great song writer too. I wonder if he has written any more like these 2 terrific songs. |

Anyway, I'm fond of "Northern Star," but I think my favorite song on that album is "Forgiveness," closely followed by "Friend." |

i know i'm going to be in the minority here, but really the only song i dislike on ITM is "so sincere". yes, it's sacreligious, and i am thoroughly ashamed!! :sorry: |
I LOVE "Forgiveness" too. I love how the song changes near the end. It's one of my favorites, just after "Calumny" & "Friend". "Givin' It Back" is another favorite of mine. Nobody hardly ever mentions that song. I love the lyrics. I believe she wrote them about her brother/family. I don't dislike any song on the album. But my least favorite songs are "Easy Come Easy Go" & believe it or not, "So Sincere".

Well, Dougal & George did get their picture in the CD booklet. It would be kind of funny if she wrote it about them. I still think it's about her family though. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who loves "Givin' It Back". Also, my opinion of "Easy Come Easy Go" may have a little bit to do with a certain co-writer of that song. ;)

i've something incredibly sarcastic to answer those claims here, but i'll take a deep breath and hold myself back. after being portrayed as an ass, i wouldn't wanna make myself look even worse.
