Round 2 saw some BIGTIME match-ups that were literally back and forth all the way up until the end. A lot of favorites fell (at least mine...) but so be it. Here are the results...

So we saw Lindsey/Stevie trade off some big hits. SHN takes down Rhiannon and IKINW defeats Silver Springs but SOTM takes down Tusk. Christine only has a handful of songs remaining... and by that I mean one, Songbird. Can she stay alive? Only time will tell. Okay, begin posting your choices in the following SWEET SIXTEEN... Landslide is, for me, the best song on the White Album, in fact I'd go as far to say it's one of the group's best ever songs.
GDW is good (esp the end) but it's not half as powerful as Landslide. That is beautiful in its simplicity. If only Stevie wrote more tunes like that - I never tire of it.

I agree with you, Sharon. Other than that, though, I believe dissention's predictions are dead-on.

Used to love Landslide, but I got tired of it.
Maybe the final drop was when I heard my neighbours playing it, who usually play either loud bonking housemusic or some super commercial hitparadestuff.
(I don't mind either if I'm in the right mood for it, but not coming distorted through the walls, please.)

I agree. Landslide is defiinitely a diamond. It really is a small masterpiece. Lyrically, heads and shoulders above most of her songs, if not all (I enjoy Dreams lyrically quite a bit). I just don't always love listening to it as much. :shrug: they're all hard choices, for me. :)

only now do i see my stevie-slanted voting... i will defend my decisions! i wish i didn't have to pick between GYOW and 'gypsy'... but i'm voting 'sara' and 'gypsy' all the way, and should it come down to those two, the only way to decide will be to twirl until i fall over, and depending on which half of the room i land on, that's my vote... ;)
