Fleetwood Mac Should Have . . .
. . . used the marching band on "Sisters of the Moon" in concert.
. . . broken up after the Mirage Tour & then started making experimental snuff films for the international festival circuit. . . . written social problem plays with Peter Green in the manner of Sean O'Casey. . . . turned away from the mass/mob audience & done a club tour with Peter, Paul & Mary -- only acoustic guitars, acoustic basses & brushes. |
. . . Been called "Mac Fleetwood" because bass players never get enough attention and also they could have opened a rival burger chain to boost profits....
. . . Toured England more f**kin' often... . . . Let Stevie show the birds of Rhiannon more on stage... . . . Made sure Bob Welch was inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame with them... |
...never reunited after Stevie and Chris left (I speak of the "Time" era  ).
...used Go Your Own Way as the last song of the night. ...listened to Lindsey and become more avant-garde after Tusk. ...let Stevie speak a little more often early on (even though she didn't have much of interest to say. ) |
Quote:
I disagree with all of those. :p |
....rethought releasing Mirage as it was.
....pushed Lindsey to release Gift of Screws after the Reunion ....wrote more songs as a group |
Quote:
...included Joan of Arc on TITN ...never let Mick do his "drum solo" again. NEVAH! |
...never tour again.
...stop promoting Rumours as their only damn album ...do away with Mick's drum vest. ...bring Christine back ...make John sing, and not just vocalizing the bass for SYLM. |
Quote:
Bob SAVED the band. Do him justice. |
......Had Chris and Stevie harmonize together more
......Nixed Mick's drum solo ......included more Tusk songs on SYW tour |
Quote:
So, it's all Mick's fault? Did no one else have a say? |

|
...told Stevie to get lost because she was not welcome on Tango In the Night.
...86'ed Empire State. ...listened to Lindsey and become more avant-garde after Tusk. ;) ...ended the SYW tour after they went overseas. ...put more thought and effort into Say You Will. |
... Have Mick play Tati's role in a remake of Jour de fête, with the
bandmates of all Mac eras in multiple supporting roles ... kicked Don Henley out of the dressing rooms at his first visit ... recorded Joan of Arc instead of Welcome to the Room... Sara ... believed that music videos aren't the enemy ... included I Am Waiting cover on Say You Will and performed it live  ... followed Stevie on the Chris Lord Alge way ... provided to Ray Lindsey a yoga trainer ... promoted In The Meantime too during Say You Will Tour .... convinced Lindsey to finally release the solo album and let PBS air his soudstage before his die hard fans would start to have visions from abstinence syndrome. Romy |
No Mick drum solos, ever.
Tango In The Night should have just been Buckingham/McVie, no Stevie. Some of those terrific Rick Vito outtakes should have been on Behind The Mask. Bob Welch should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. If Jeremy & Danny deserved to be inducted(and they did), then Bob should have been inducted too. Fleetwood Mac should have ended once and for all at the conclusion of the Dance tour. |
Fleetwood Mac should have....
- no regrets. They are among the last of a dying breed - that is, a successful band that originated as a group of artists - musicians and songwriters - who were doing what they loved, and not because record industry types were telling them to - great pride when they look back over the past 30+ years - appreciation for their fans who have stayed with them through the ups and downs |

...made two barebone-raw heavy rockin' albums from start to finish. One at the end of the Green-era (then play on came close) and one NOW.

Always a voice of reason....I, too, love the Mick solos... so my contribution... ....more Mick solos  ....give Stevie a Tambourine solo :]....kidding on that one |

Fleetwood Mac should have...
...not given rehearsed speeches and changed their setlist throughout their tours.
...a WAY, WAY better fan club with a free tee-shirt, calendar and chances to meet with the band, get the best seats...and not for $1000. ...put out more albums. :) |

I'm all for the former disappearing (or never having happened in the 1st place) but I always used to love the latter -- hearing Mick actually drum on his drums for a band jam. |

True True.....I want a full-on DRUM solo...not a drum vest solo. Though -the drum vest was cool and fun and novel the first time I saw it....it does get old however - mostly because there doesn't seem to be a whole lot involved. Anyway more Mick DRUM solos....that would be great  |
Hmmm, a drummer drumming on his drums. Hmmm.......
INFINITELY more interesting than watching an old man grab his crotch!!!!   Ewwwwww. |

   agreed. |
Fleetwood Mac should consider recording an album in England, so Christine would join them.
Fleetwood Mac should release a Greatest Videos DVD. |

Oh. And the free booze. |

I doubt if Lindsey would do the England thing because of his family though. :( |
YAY to the drum solo....BOO to the vest solo. LOL
I'm all for bringing back the DRUM solo and nixing (hmm...Nicks-ing. LOL) the vesterbation. It was cool....the first time. After that, not so much, I got bored of it quickly. Perhaps he shouldn't have done it for so long, that may have helped.
The drum solos from back in the day, I say YAY to! Those were awesome!! I think they should each have a chance to shine in the spotlight, oh, and John, come out of the shadows, dude. |
......wear different or slightly different outfits on each night of the tour. A few different accessories or something would make it interesting! (What will be different tonight? What will they have on?) If you see them in the exact same thing everytime they're on TV or on stage, etc., it is really boring.
......Lindsey speak "Off the Cuff" on stage instead of repeating the same exact things at every stop on the tour. A little less philosophy, and a little more about what the song is about or how he came to write it. ......let other members of the band speak to the audience. Mix it up with each member saying something, especially John. ......release all of their previously released videos on DVD and put out some other material on DVD (interviews, live shows, outtakes, backstage/behind the scenes, rehearsals, etc. from years before the Say You Will era). .......put together and release remastered bootlegs/outtakes from all eras besides the stuff we got with the remastered Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk CD sets. .......put out a d@mn, wall calendar EVERY YEAR, not just one year! .......(as several people have said before me) inducted Bob Welch into the Roll 'N Roll Hall of Fame with them as a member of Fleetwood Mac. He was definitely a big part of the band for several years. |
redo: Mirage and Tango soon PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
stop acting like the band is better now than ever (it's not) stop adding back up musicians for 3 part chord music stop playing stand back and play some other solo stuff stop playing the same songs over and over again stop playing Don't Stop release Buckingham Nicks remaster Behind the Mask with outakes (this is a great album) Play a song from Time (haha that will never happen) as often as repeated here, i'm ashamed they did not include Bob Welch into the Hall of fame, that is seriously wrong and I hope they had a hard time looking in the mirror after that decision was made, no matter whose decision it was |
Lol!!

I love "Seven Wonders" and, of course, my love for "When I See You Again" knows no bounds... I think they fit the album perfectly, and I tend to feel that 12 songs of strictly Chris and Lindsey in that "glossy pop" style would've been a bit too much. Especially if "Ricky" (which I do love -- but I can see why it didn't make the cut) and "Special Kind Of Love" were included. But, yes, I do see why many other fans hate Stevie's 'Tango' contributions. I also see why many people hate Lindsey's 'Tusk' contributions. Those particular songs can definitely be "jagged little pills," so to speak... especially in the context of a Fleetwood Mac album. |
...played a different setlist each gig, a la Bob Dylan.
