Taku's new website (Stevie in Vegas news)

Hey I went on the OLD BuckinghamNicks message board (don't know what made me go there) and there was a new post from Taku! He has a new website TakuHirano.com and he also has some photos from the Fleetwood Mac tour posted there. He also mentioned that Stevie will be performing for five nights at Ceasar's Palace from May 11-15 at Celine Dion's theater.
Just thought that I would pass on the info. :blob1:

That's fricking awesome, thanks for the heads up! You know Taku is my boyfriend, right? Some people are Lindsey's come girls, I am Taku's Red Rover Girl...

I forgot to add that he also mentioned talk of a Stevie tour but nothing definite as of now.

There's a real cool photo of Stevie with Bette Midler in the Bette Midler section... Stevie was at her Pheonix show, she's wearing a fur trimmed coat.

Like I said, it better be faux. :o That color complements her so well that it's unbelievable. They both look fab in that photo.

That picture of Stevie with Bette is amazing! She looks like she is in her thirties, not pressing sixty! How does she look so much younger then just last summer? You don't think she could have had a face lift? I don't mind if she did, but it would be interesting to know. And her hair looks great in this picture too! And the coat is so youthful and fun... I love Stevie, it is good to see a real recent pic of her.

exactly what I was thinking. She looks AMAZING in that picture with Bette, about 20 times better then she did on any point during the SYW tour. Maybe she just finally got over her illness from late May.

Maybe, but even before her illness she didn't look as refreshed and youthful as in this picture. Looking at it again, I think she has lost a lot of weight since the tour and her hair looks flawless. Maybe that is all it is. But her skin just looks really tight and perfect like she just got back from a day at the spa. And I swear she does not look a day over 35. And in a lot of the SYW pics from last summer she was really starting to look her age. Maybe living on the road just took its toll and she needed a break and now she is back to being a total babe.

No but seriously. I've been known to find certain people of just about any nationality attractive - but never an asian. I think they just remind me too much of my family members.

On the other hand, only the first and second generations of my family to live in the US actually married Japanese. Everybody else has favored white partners. So I guess its hereditary.

Perhaps. But most white guys I see around here have Asian girlfriends, I swear. So, it's probably not just you and your fam.

Oooh wait. I take that back. My youngest uncle just got married to a Japanese woman. Only, he doesn't really count. He moved to Tokyo after he graduated college (he was born and raised in Salinas, California). Since he actually lives in Japan it isn't very likely that he will meet non-Japanese women.

Other than that all of the third and fourth generation American family members have favored white partners.

Hmm. Pretty much all everybody in my town dates within their race, which makes things so incredibly wonderful for half-breeds like me. I'm half asian and half white, but I look more asian than white. I don't identify at all with asian cultures and consider myself more white than anything, but the whites in my town see me as asian. So I'm f*cked either way.

I guess. Maybe you should move. But here, if millions of white guys have cute asians to date...well, lets just say, I'll never be asian - that's for sure.

In the Fleetwood Mac section, that Earl's Court picture is pretty cool. They really did up the outside... I never see anything like that for concerts here. There's usually just a schedule for the venue running outside and that's it.

Earls Court did look amazing. You cam out of the tube station and there it was all lit up. I got some great pictures too

I see they rehearsed (or were thinking of rehearsing) "You Make Loving Fun" and "Illume"..... interesting..... ;)

I'm guessing that the order of likelihood ran from left to right on that board...!

Actually, it looks to me like they are arranged in a possible setlist order. The Chain, Dreams, Peacekeeper all at the front (it looks like they were at one point thinking of opening with Eyes of the World)...then we have the closers and encores to the left. The far left column looks like songs they weren't really sure about.

tommer 02-27-2005 06:46 PM

according to that stevie/bette pic, i'd guess ms. nicks spent some time at dr. troy & dr. mcnamara's instead of writing an album.
and another thing, please, god, don't make stevie nicks a lounge act too! tori amos was painful enough! amen.

I think so, too, but more power to her because she looks marvelous. Something has been done, but it's been done good.

All I give a **** about is whether that fur was real or not.

Umm... am I the only one, or is this statement incredibly offensive? It's one thing to say you like blue eyes, but it's another thing to write off an entire race of people. Get some f***king class.

I'm used to it. She said she doesn't like how white girls with big butts look either. I've decided to get over it, I guess. I suppose some people have racial preferences. It's not my favorite, but in the interest of peaceful conversations, I decided to live and let live?

All I said was that I'm not attracted to Asians, how is that offensive? I also went on in later posts to explain why I don't find them attractive - they remind me of my family members (who are Japanese). It was not a racist statement, just a statement of preference. So f*cking get over it.

Oh and btw, kudos on your oh-so-classy way of telling me to get some class.

I suppose then it would be okay for a skinhead to say, "oh, I'm not attracted to Jews," or ANYONE to say "I am not into blacks." It's judging people by their ethnicity, which, the last time I checked, constitutes RACISM. You are entitled to your opinions, but sometimes it's just best to KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

More troubling is your own self-hatred. You'll deny it because you're young and (very) ignorant, but you'll understand one day when you grow up.

I'm f**king over it, thanks.

diamondsnake 02-28-2005 12:01 AM

I soooo wish they would have done illume live. I think it would have been interesting. And YMLF? I assume Stevie would have done the vocals... that would have been strange.

As far as Stevie looking twenty years younger, I think she may have had some work done but like I said, who cares? She looks better then ever!

Look at the jowls. They would most certainly indicate evidence of a face lift and while her skin is flawless, I don't see evidence of surgery.

I don't know, did you zoom in? I think she's had something done. Nothing big like a full-on face lift, but something. The jawline is very pronounced.

She doesn't look any different from the last night of the tour when I saw her at the Ritz Carlton.

I concur. A bit of dejowling, maybe some eye thing, I'm not sure about that one.

Yes, it would be fine for them to say that.

I didn't say "I hate Asians" or "Asians are bad" or "Asians are ugly" or anything derrogatory about Asian people. All I said was that they don't do anything for me in terms of physical attraction, just like blondes don't do anything for me. And just like androgyny - which seems to be a look favored by young Asian males in my area - doesn't do anything for me either.

You might want to check again, because I wasn't judging anyone. There's a difference between judging someone and having preferences as to what I consider attractive. And last time I checked, I was speaking to Amber when I made that comment, not to you, so you can keep your self-righteous opinions to yourself as well.

I agree... she doesn't have that perpetual look of surprise or that mummified appearance. And her eyebrows are not lifted up into her forehead. I'm thinking she looks so fab because she's wearing little makeup and has the relaxed "homegirl next door" vibe about her. That coat is soo ghetto!
