I think the second pic... the one marked "Tango Era"... is actually 'Mirage' era, too, judging from their hairstyles and clothing.

What is on Lindsey's chin in the last pic?? I never noticed him having a mole or growth (or whatever it is) on his chin before.

I've noticed in the past that he seems to often get a big pimple right under his lower lip, and then usually a smaller one right next to it.

I bet they're white-heads from shaving. :)

EEeeee...I dunno, a discussion about the whys and wherefors of Lindseys zits,just dosn't seem right, here on the Ledge...his music, love life and other assorted assumptions seem ok, but zits are a bit yucky :D

I think he used to have a whitish mole on his chin, but he probably had it removed as I haven't noticed it there in several years. It was very prominent in the Mirage era especially; I even recall my mom seeing it on some 1982 MTV interview and asking me if it was a zit LOL.

Was it a mole? I always thought it was a pimple (often with a smaller one next to it), as it seemed to come and go.

I'm pretty sure it's visible in one of his videos... "It Was I" maybe? And in the 'Tango' interview that he and Stevie did on the 'Today Show,' it's definitely visible there.
I know I've seen other instances of it over the years (and I thought as recently as the 'Dance' era interviews, but I could be wrong).

But there are other videos and interviews throughout the years, in which I don't recall seeing it... so I just figured he'd get recurring white-heads from shaving. Hmmm. :shrug:

I dunno..whiteheads wouldn't always come back in the exact same spot, would they? ;) Although I guess it could have been a shaving thing. But as you said, you can see it in both the Mirage and Tango eras, so that leads me to still think it was a mole that he had removed. JMO. Glad he got rid of it, that thing scared me!

It was even there at the end of the Tusk era too. There's a close up shot of it in Lindsey's picture inside the 1980 Live album cover.

They were pretty gross, they looked like growths...of some kind and it looked like he had them removed a few times (they used to disappear, get smaller and then come back bigger, but this time it looks like they're not coming back......thank goodness.

Cool Photos! Thanks for posting them all. I have seen variations on all of those photos. But these shots were nice. I love all the sky shot ones, I have one of the whole band with the sky as a backdrop in black & white. I also have one of Lindsey alone with the sky backdrop holding his Turner in color, wish I had a scanner to show you all. I love Mirage era pics!!

When I was a teenager, I used to get a pimple in pretty much the same spot of my chin constantly... from razor irritation. So I guess that's why I just figured that's what was happening in Lindsey's case, too.

Maybe, as Cour suggested, they really were moles that he had to have removed more than once.

We'll ask him, if he ever does a Q&A! :laugh:

There is a pretty clear shot of the growth on Lindsey's chin in one of the tourbooks (or perhaps inside an album jacket) that I recall. It looks like some sort of mole or wart. It seemed to come and go in various interviews and photos so I always assumed it was something he was having periodically removed. I have not seen it in quite awhile..in fact I cannot remember it at all during the Dance era..but I might have missed it! Whatever it was, I am glad that he got rid of it......Lindsey is too beautiful to have something like that on his face.

I think it is Billy Burnette (who I adore). As much as I love the man's music, he's not the most photogenic person in the world, though he looks pretty darn yummy on the Time promo poster. :xoxo:
