Thanks, Brian! :woohoo:

I'm going to try and get tix for the Connecticut shows. I hate Mohegan Sun with a passion, but this will probably be my last and only chance to see her, so...

estranged4life 02-22-2005 12:04 AM

Good luck...

I may plan to see Robert Plant on March 13 at the Coca-Cola Event center in OKC (He starts his tour off at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa...The Cain's Ballroom would be the perfect venue for Loretta Lynn since it is synonymous with country acts of years past such as the Cain's former house band/KVOO staple Bob Willis and the Texas Playboys and has seen concerts from the Eagles to the Sex Pistols to Bob Dylan!)

How are his ticket prices?

I want to see Loretta, but I don't want to sit through Paul Anaka of all people.

Eartha Kitt is playing the Mohegan Sun for a whole week in a few months and I must see her.

estranged4life 02-22-2005 12:14 AM

Well shit...

guess I wont being Robert Plant since his show in OKC is completely sold out ($50 ticket price)...Guess I'll have to check eBay

Man, I am surprised that his tickets werent sold through tickets.com...An being a "General Admission" show I can see why the show sold out so quickly.

Nothing in Chicago yet. Grr.

I'm currently trying to talk myself out of seeing Bob Dylan when he does a week-long stand at the Auditorium Theatre here in Chicago in April. He's playing with Merle Haggard!!!! Also had to convince myself out of going to see John Mellencamp touring with Donovan (!)- I LOVE Donovan, and have seen Mellencamp four times. That's such a cool tour. Because I'm a loser.

estranged4life 02-22-2005 12:05 PM

Mellen-chump...

is playing here also (w/Donovan) but ticket sells have been slow to non-existance (Noone is biting for the $45 ticket price)...But from what I have heard about Loretta Lynn is that her show will sell-out the same way the 2 Robert Plant Oklahoma shows sold-out with the $38 ticket price (The Cain's Ballroom show in Tulsa sold out completely in less than 30 minutes...I just would love to see Plant playing in that ol' honkytonk bar!!!)

So Dylan is playing with Merle Haggard now, I thought the pairing of Dylan & Willie Nelson was a better show than could have been expected (Hey, Their show at the Bricktown Ballpark outsold Phil Collins show at the Ford Center the same night...I wonder if Robert Plant will outsell the Josh Groban show the same night???)

Ugh. Unfortunately she's playing Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, one of the worst live music venues I've ever been to. Looks like that's her only Texas stop. She NEEDS to come to Austin dammit!

Billy Idol is playing the Coca-Cola Event Center in OKC too...He should be have a killer show, Especially since Steve Stevens is once again his lead guitarist!!!

I am surprised that more artists havent been appearring at the Wormy Dog Saloon (Now owned by Oklahoma's own Cross Canadian Ragweed) since it is alos located in Bricktown with all the other concert venues

Livia 02-22-2005 12:49 PM

I didn't know the CCR boys owned that place! A lot of Austin bands play there....

Brian, have you ever considered coming down for SXSW? It's worth it!

estranged4life 02-22-2005 12:51 PM

been years since I been in Austin (My Uncle used to live in the Wooten Park area, I believe that was the name of the nearby park, Could be wrong). I plan to make down to Austin sometime soon...Remember loving that city

Yeah, The Wormy Dog Saloon in Bricktown (Bricktown will be national known in the near future, Trust me on this one) is now owned by CCR, Which is cool...Alot of CCR's buds play there on a regular basis (Hell this summer the Zoo Amphitheatre will be hosting the 2nd Annual "Family Jam" that CCR sponsors and all their Austin buds and other nationally known acts will be jamming from early morning to late, late at night.)

estranged4life 03-04-2005 03:44 AM

Bump...

since she has added more dates to her summer schedule, Check the same link I provided earlier above.
