Grammys
Who's watching?
I'll be watching half-assed. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is not. I figure it will be an Usher sweep....and Ray Charles, possibly. All I know is that I will be glued to the TV when Joan and Melissa interview the artists. Their show starts at 6 on the TV Guide Channel. |
I'll be watching for some kind of Everybody Loves Raymond thing they'll be doing sometime during the show.

I'll be watching Joan and Melissa first off. Love those catty bitches. I'll watch the Grammy's for Franz Ferdinand, Prince, Loretta Lynn, and Bonnie Raitt, but that's about it. I can't stand the rest. :o |
I'll be at work and I'll miss it, as usual :(
They used to have it on Wednesdays, then I could usually catch it. This Sunday *hit sucks. If I were home, I'd probably rather watch Surreal Life or Desperate Housewives anyway. |

Franz will lose to U2 for Best Rock. Personally, U2 is hardly rock.....They are as pop as they come. |

U2 sucks ass. I'm so sick of seeing them. |
Thanks for reminding me...
that this crap is on...Rather stare at the litterbox for 2-3 hours since both are full of the same thing
|
If Kanye West gets shut out, it will make my Feburary. :blob2:
|
Well, I won't be watching.

Kanye West is more obnoxious than 50 Cent. He truly gets on my tits like no other. Same with Gretchen Wilson, my word. |
I'll watch for awhile, till I've seen Gwen and Franz - then i'll probably flip back and forth from that to the shows I actually like, most of which are on on Sunday Night. Except for one of my faves, Cold Case, which won't be on cause of the stupid Grammys.

Well, The Killers are not nominated. Maroon5, Joss Stone, and some other group is. I like Maroon5....I really do. I'm pulling for them. |
Wow. Joan and Melissa are dressed down tonight. They look like they fit in. :D
|
"I am so excited about meeting Ray Charles."
"30 odd years ago, I forgot to wear my diaphragm..." (Introducing Melissa). |
The Franz performance is a medley. I hate medleys. Even FM's on the Grammys in '98 was awful. Well- not awful. There was the appearance of the Long Black Velvet Coat. Other than that? awful.
I'm rooting for Gretchen. She's ****ing fabulous. And, uh? Thank GOD the Killers aren't nominated, why would they be? Talk about hacks. That album puts me to sleep, and they're seriously one of the worst live acts I've ever seen. The Grammys are such crap. I think it'll be a Kanye sweep- with a little Ray Charles and Usher thrown in. Next year I hope it's Kanye's protege John Legend picking up that best new artist award. I'm going to watch the first half hour and that's it. All my favorite Sunday night shows are new tonight. |
"Britney Spears is up for Best Dance and Mr Britney Spears is up for Best Score."   My GAWD who writes these things?

And FM was awful. Whoever thought it was a good idea to do a medley with the piano version of Rhiannon was high as a kite. Quote:

They are a mess tonight. I LOVE IT! |
The only category...
I could give a flyin' donkey crap about is best instrumental, If Steve Vai does not win then I pray a nuke hits the Grammy's
|
Is Loretta Lynn performing? I've no idea if she is and I'd love to see her.
|
GO GRETCHEN!!!!!!
Just found out today that she use to live in the same small town I use to live in outside of Nashville for a few years before she hit the big time this year. HA maybe our paths crossed somewhere before. Im Tivoing the show, going out tonight. I'll enjoy the show bc i can fast forward through all the crap I dont want to see :). |

I dunno, but this seems like a royal mess: The Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani (who will be joined by Eve), Maroon 5, Franz Ferdinand and Los Lonely Boys will open the show by appearing together in one performance across three stages, the Recording Academy announced Tuesday (February 8). |
